개의 담낭에서 발생한 carcinoid tumor 증례 보고

A 7-year-old female mixed-breed dog was presented to a veterinary clinic for pyometra. During abdominal ultrasonography, an abnormal finding was noted in the gallbladder. A cholecystectomy was performed. Grossly, the gallbladder wall was thickened with a polypoid nodular projection into the lumen. Microscopically, the polyp consisted of a solid sheet of round to polygonal-shaped cells that formed small packets with fibrovascular septa. The neoplastic cells contained abundant cytoplasmic eosinophilic granules. Immunohistochemically, the neoplastic cells were positive to chromogranin A and neuron-specific enolase, whereas they were negative to vimentin and cytokeratin. This case was diagnosed as a primary gallbladder carcinoid tumor.

공업계고등학교 전문교과 교사들이 인식하는 학생들의 직업기초능력 수준

The purpose of this paper was to analyze how the specialized subjects teachers of industrial high schools recognize the level of their students' key competencies. Therefore, we employed cluster sampling with stratification to classify the population of the teachers in charge of specialized subjects of industrial high schools. We also classified it by field, that was, the field of electricity, electronics and communication, the field of machine and metal, and the field of construction. Through this classification, it had made the samples consisting of 27 high schools. For this study, key competencies consisting of 34 factors under 8 areas were determined. Total 324 copies of the questionnaire had been distributed, 242 of which were used for analysis. Descriptive statistics and F-test were used for statistical analysis. The major results of this study were as follows: First, the level of the students' key competencies that the specialized subjects teachers of industrial high schools recognize was found average or lower (3.0) in all the fields. Second, the teachers in the field of electricity, electronics and communication evaluated their students' key competencies higher than those in the other fields. Third, the teachers working in large cities evaluated their students' key competencies higher than those working in other regions. The above results show the level of the students' key competencies that is recognized by the teachers is different, depending on the variables, but in general, it was distributed between 2 points (low) and 3 (average). It suggests that industrial high school students, who are facing the rapidly changing job world as preliminary workers, should make a lot of efforts to improve their key competencies. 이 연구의 목적은 공업계고등학교에서 전문교과를 담당하는 교사들이 인식하는 공업계고등학교 학생들의 직업기초능력 수준을 조사분석하는데 있다. 연구를 위한 표본은 전국의 공업계고등학교에서 전문교과를 담당하는 교사들을 지역별(대도시, 중소도시, 군 이하 지역), 계열별(전기전자통신 계열, 기계금속 계열, 건설 계열)로 분류하고 각 지역의 계열별로 3개교 씩 총 27개교를 군집 표집하였다. 조사 도구의 개발은 국내외의 직업기초능력에 대한 연구 사례를 종합하고 전문가의 협의를 거쳐 8개 영역, 34개 능력으로 구성된 직업기초능력을 마련하였다. 조사 도구인 설문지는 총 324부를 배부하여 242(74.7%)를 최종 분석에 이용하였고, 통계 분석으로는 기술통계, F-검증 등을 사용하였고 사후검증으로 Scheffe 검증을 실시하였다. 연구의 주요 결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 공업계고등학교에서 전문교과를 담당하는 교사들은 공업계고등학교 학생들의 직업기초능력 수준으로 8개 영역 중 기술 능력 영역을 가장 높은 수준으로 보았다. 둘째, 계열별에 따른 공업계고등학교 전문교과 교사들의 인식에서는 전기전자통신 계열의 교사들이 다른 계열의 교사들보다 학생들의 직업기초능력 수준에 대한 인식치가 높았다. 셋째, 공업계고등학교의 소재지에 따른 전문교과 교사들의 인식에서는 대도시 소재 학교의 교사들이 타지역 소재 학교의 교사들보다 학생들의 직업기초능력 수준에 대한 인식치가 높았다. 연구의 전반적인 결과를 통해 공업계고등학교에서 전문교과를 담당하는 교사들이 인식하는 공업계고등학교 학생들의 직업기초능력 수준은 모든 영역과 하위 요소에서 보통 이하의 수준에 분포되어 있으므로 공업계고등학교 학생들의 직업기초능력을 향상시키기 위한 노력이 절실하다고 할 수 있다. 이를 위해 기존의 교과에 포함되어있는 직업기초능력 수준을 학생들의 이해 수준에 맞추고, 다양한 교수-학습 방법을 활용하기 위한 프로그램의 개발과 체험에 의한 직업기초능력의 습득과 신장이 이루어지도록 행재정적 지원이 필요하다고 하겠다.

Roles of Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells in Atherosclerotic Calcification

The accumulation of calcium in atherosclerotic plaques is a prominent feature of advanced atherosclerosis, and it has a strong positive correlation with the total burden of atherosclerosis. Atherosclerotic calcification usually appears first at the necrotic core, indicating that cell death and inflammatory processes are involved in calcification. During atherosclerotic inflammation, various cell types, such as vascular smooth muscle cells, nascent resident pericytes, circulating stem cells, or adventitial cells, have been assumed to differentiate into osteoblastic cells, which lead to vascular calcification. Among these cell types, vascular smooth muscle cells are considered a major contributor to osteochondrogenic cells in the atherosclerotic milieu. In this review, we summarize the molecular mechanisms underlying the osteochondrogenic switch of vascular smooth muscle cells in atherosclerotic plaques.

평판형 종(L1)-굴곡(B8)모드 초음파 전동기의 제작과 특성

- In this paper, a flat-type L1-B8 mode Ultrasonic Motor [USM] having the size of 80×20×1.5 ㎣(l×w×t) was designed and fabricated to examine the characteristics of an ultrasonic vibration. We used ANSYS simulation program based on FEM to get the optimum design of this USM. As results of experiment, the fastest speed of revolution(v), the maximum torque(T) and the efficiency(η) were 37.5 ㎝/s, 5.0 mN·m and 1.17 % when 27.9 ㎑, 150 N, 50 V were applied respectively. And this flat-type L1-B8 mode USM could be controlled the speed of rotor revolution by applied voltage, frequency and pre-load of rotor as well as showed the characteristics of typical drooping torque-speed, large torque and high speed. So, we think that this flat-type L1-B8 mode USM has characteristics of enough torque and velocity to be usable for applications in forwarding device of an electric card or a paper, etc.

큰 고니에서 발생한 아밀로이드 침착증

Two Whooper swan (Cygnus cygnus) died after suffering from pododermatitis, lethargy, and ataxia; necropsy was performed. Grossly, the liver was swollen and firm. The kidney and spleen were also enlarged and a pale tan color. On histopathologic examination with Congo red staining, amyloidosis was noted in liver, spleen, and kidney. In addition, marked osseous metaplasia was present in the liver. Based on these results, systemic amyloidosis involving liver, spleen, and kidney with osseous metaplasia in the liver was diagnosed. Study results indicate that an inflammatory reaction associated with pododermatitis had a role in the amyloidosis in this particular case.

실업계고등학교와 일반계고등학교의 연계 교육과정 모형 개발과 운영

The purpose of this study is to develop and operate a curriculum which is able to connect a vocational high school to a general high school. That curriculum makes it possible to meet the necessity of accepting the learning rights for the students of a small scale school located in a rural community. And also, it is able to broaden the implementation of the elective-centered curriculum in the 7th curriculum. So, We developed a connected curriculum model which fulfills to the utmost the requirement of a few students who want to go to a collage after finishing vocational high school and who want to get a job after finishing general high school in a electing their subjects and then operated it with student's moving to the connected schools on a Saturday. In this study, we got the results as follows: First, we prepared the curriculum environments which can accept the learning-demands of students in a small scale school located in a rural community. To do so, we publicized the curriculum of a vocational high school connected to that of a general high school, made questions, and organized the committee of students, parents and teachers and so on. Second, we organized and implemented the connected curriculum so that a small number of students could learn the subjects they demands. So, a small number of the vocational high school students could have learned the 'Math I' and 'English Conversation' which were not allowed in their school. And also, a small number of the general high school students who hope to have an occupation after graduation could have learned 'Web Design' subject. Third, we examined the problems and presented the solving methods according to organizing and implementing the connected curriculum. So we could have served as an aid on building up the foundation of the generation of the elective-centered curriculum.
