우묵사스레피(Eurya emarginata)의 플라보노이드 화합물의 분리 및 동정

The extracts of Eurya emarginata showed inhibitory effect on the growth of HL-60 leukemia cells. So, 80% methanol(MeOH) extract of its leaves was partitioned to hexane, ethyl acetate, n-butanol and residual water fractions. The ethyl acetate fraction, which showed desirable activities, was further purified using SiO2 column chromatography(CC) followed by reverse phase silica gel CC, then another normal CC to give fraction 4-1-8 as a pure compound. The compound 4-1-8 was analyzed by NMR spectrometry using 1H, 13C, DEPT, HMQC and HMBC spectra, and finally proved to be well-known flavono glycoside, Quercitrin.

An aqueous extract of Cornus kousa Burg. leaves (ACK) that contained high amount of polyphenols showed significant antioxidant activity against diphenylpicrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radicals and TNF-α-generated reactive oxygen species. ACK at concentrations of 10 and 50 μg/mL significantly inhibited TNF- α-induced adhesion of U937 pre-monocytic cells to HT-29 colon epithelial cells in a concentrationdependent manner. The reduced adhesion by ACK correlated with the suppressed expressions of monocyte chemoattractant protein (MCP)-1 and interleukin (IL)-8, the major inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)-associated chemokines. Moreover, ACK significantly suppressed TNF-α-induced translocation of redox-sensitive nuclear factor (NF)-κB as well as degradation of cytosolic I-κBα. The effective concentrations of ACK were much lower than that of 5-aminosalicylic acid (3.06 mg/mL), which is an active metabolite of sulfasalazine, a well-known drug used in the treatment of IBD. The results indicate that ACK may provide a potential benefit for the prevention and treatment of inflammatory diseases such as IBD.
제주산 식물을 이용한 Tyrosinase 억제 활성, Hyaluronidase 억제 활성, 라디칼 소거 활성 검색

Solvent extracts of 17 plants collected in Cheju Island were investigated for their biological properties related to cosmeceuticals such as tyrosinase and hyaluronidase inhibition and also radical scavenging effects. The chloroform fraction of Phytolacca esculenta root exhibited strong inhibition against tyrosinase activity. No fraction showed significant hyaluronidase inhibition. Some solvent extracts of plants such as Achyranthes japonica and Artemisia princeps showed considerable radical scavenging activities.
