Upon exposure of polymer composites to ion beam irradiation, polymer chain scission, cross-linking, oxidation,and increase of unsaturation occur, which may influence the surface aesthetics and hardness of the composites. We fabricatedpolymer composites reinforced with marble waste powders and utilized a nitrogen ion implantation technique to achieveceramic-like glossiness on the composite surfaces. The marble powder was chosen as a reinforcement owing to its excellentthermomechanical properties, inexpensive costs, and eco-friendly features. The surface aesthetics of the composites wassignificantly enhanced and the surface roughness of them was decreased by implanting the nitrogen ion. We simulated thenitrogen ion penetration lengths into the surface to characterize the relationship among carbonization/nitrogen ions dopingeffects, surface color and glossiness, and surface hardness. The carbonization/nitrogen ions doping effects were extensivelycharacterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
초등교사의 생활체육 참여정도가 교사효능감과 직무만족도에 미치는 영향

The primary purpose of this study was to probe the influence of the degree of participation in the Sports for All program for Elementary School Teachers on teacher efficacy and job satisfaction in Gangwon. The subjects of this study were 272 of the 300 elementary school teachers in Gangwon. The data-collection questionnaire designed for this study investigated the degree of participation in the Sports for All program, teacher efficacy (Kim, 2003), and job satisfaction (Lee, 2008). The statistical methods utilized in the study for analyzing the collected data were reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, correlate analysis, and multiple regression analysis. From the results of this study, the following conclusions were drawn. First, significant differences were observed in teacher efficacy with respect to the degree of participation in the Sports for All program for Elementary School Teachers. Second, significant differences were observed in job satisfaction with respect to the degree of participation in the Sports for All program for Elementary School Teachers. Third, teacher efficacy of participation in the Sports for All program for Elementary School Teachers influences job satisfaction. (179 words) 교육의 질은 교육의 주체적 역할을 하는 교사에 의해 좌우된다. 그러한 이유로 교사의 직무수행에 대한 만족도는 교육의 질적 제고를 위한 중요한 부분으로 생각되어져야 한다. 이에 본 연구는 초등학교 교사의 생활체육 참여정도가 교사효능감과 직무만족도에 미치는 영향에 대해서 실증적으로 규명하고자 하는데 연구의 목적을 두었다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 연구대상을 강원도 지역 국․공립 초등학교 중 강릉, 원주, 춘천 권역으로 분류하여, 각 권역별로 생활체육을 참여하고 있는 교사를 대상으로 총 272명의 자료를 수집하였다. 자료수집을 위한 조사도구로는 김미진(2003)이 개발한 교사효능감 검사지와 이미숙(2008)의 연구에서 사용한 교사 직무만족도 검사지를 수정 보완하여 사용하였다. 이에 다른 자료처리방법으로는 빈도분석과 일원변량분석, 상관분석 그리고 다중회귀분석방법을 이용하였다. 이에 따른 연구방법을 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교 교사의 생활체육 참여정도에 따른 교사효능감은 차이가 있다. 둘째, 초등학교 교사의 생활체육 참여정도에 따른 직무만족도는 차이가 있다. 셋째, 생활체육 참여 교사의 교사효능감은 직무만족도에 영향을 미친다. 교사효능감의 자기조절효능감에서만 직무만족에 정적인 영향을 미친다.
A microfluidic binary logic device using inertia-elastic particle focusing

While a few attempts have been made on microfluidic logic devices, e.g., digital microfluidics and a fluid transistor, complete integration of digitalization into microfluidics is still a challenge. In this study, we investigate a microfluidic logic device that is built based on the particle dynamics in viscoelastic fluid. A logic gate system employing a Boolean function is implemented by utilizing multiple line particle focusing behavior in the microfluidic channel. The device is designed and fabricated to hydrodynamically control the logic operations of XOR, OR, AND, Buffer, and NOT under the fixed flow condition (e.g., flow rate, particle size, and fluid elasticity∼ 1.483). In addition, numerical simulation is carried out to understand the fundamental physics of the particle and fluid behavior in viscoelastic flow. Clear multiple particle focusing lines with high separation resolution (Rij ∼ 6.19) were observed and the particle extraction at the outlets were analyzed by image-processing. This study is expected to open a new route to the incorporation of microfluidics with electronics by demonstrating logic gates based on microfluidics.
