        평탄성 측정 장비의 인증 방안에 대한 연구

        PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to propose the certification process of International Roughness Index measuring device, i.e., a method for evaluating riding quality on road surfaces. METHODS : ROMDAS was selected as a reference device for verifying the accuracy of the IRI measuring device and the reliability of ROMDAS was checked through leveling in the laboratory and outdoors. To verify four different IRI measuring devices in Korea, the proper field test section was selected and IRI evaluation was conducted. A distance measuring instrument (DMI) - for verifying the accuracy of mileage - and IRI (as an index of roughness) were selected as the main evaluation parameters. For DMI verification, five repeated experiments were conducted for a 1 km section and, for IRI verification, speed variables of 40 km/h, 60 km/h, and 80 km/h were selected. Each device was tested at each speed 10 times. The accuracy of the measurement device was analyzed by comparing the measurement results with the verification criteria. RESULTS : As a result of the comparative experiment between the leveling and ROMDAS devices, the deviation of each measurement point value was within 1 mm and the R2 value was 0.8, demonstrating an excellent correlation. As a result of DMI verification, the tolerance of the three devices was found to be within 0.1 %; however, one device had a tolerance of 0.8 %, indicating that correction was necessary. For IRI evaluation, the average IRI value of the two reference devices was 2.02 m/km and the Minnesota standard was used as an analysis criterion. After the test, only one of the four devices was found to be effective across all speed ranges. Therefore, it was determined that additional sensor calibration is required to improve accuracy. CONCLUSIONS : In this study, the IRI device accuracy was evaluated through field tests. Hence, a new certification process for the IRI test device was proposed via four steps. To improve the accuracy of the IRI measurement, it is necessary to periodically verify the device. If this proposed certification process is applied, the accuracy of the IRI devices can be improved.

        제주도 현무암 골재를 활용한 중온 아스팔트 포장 적용에 관한 연구

        PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to evaluate an asphalt mixture via field application to utilize basalt aggregates produced on Jeju Island for a warm mix asphalt (WMA). METHODS : Using commercially available WMA additives, an indoor experiment is conducted on low- and high-void aggregates among basalt aggregates on Jeju Island. The physical properties of the WMA mixture are evaluated using one solid type and two liquid types of WMA additive. To evaluate the applicability of the WMA additives, air void, saturation, aggregate void, Marshall stability, flow number, indirect tensile strength, and toughness tests are performed. For the field application of WMA using basalt aggregates, three types of pavements (HMA, WMA-Solid, and WMA-liquid) are constructed. When applying the pavements in the field, an anti-stripping agent is incorporated to improve the water resistance while considering the characteristics of the basalt aggregate. Samples are acquired via plant and field coring to evaluate the properties of the materials applied in the field. RESULTS : In the indoor test for analyzing the applicability of the commercialized WMA additives to basalt aggregates, all tests except the indirect tensile strength test show results that satisfy the standards. All test results, including that from the indirect tensile strength test, satisfy the standard values in the test that uses the sample material obtained from the plant. Similarly, in the test with field cores, all test results satisfy the standard values. Therefore, the experimental value in the field application is generally higher than the test value in the indoor experiment. It is inferred that this is due to the difference between the basalt aggregates used in the indoor and field experiments, as well as the addition of the anti-stripping agent. CONCLUSIONS : Basalt aggregates produced on Jeju Island can be used for WMA pavements, as demonstrated via indoor experiments and field applications. However, owing to the characteristics of basalt aggregates, a method for improving water resistance should be considered, and tests to determine the indirect tensile strength should be performed using various basalt aggregates. In addition, because various basalt aggregates exist owing to the diverse geology characteristics of Jeju Island, they should be evaluated via more experiments and field applications.

      • 원형 럼블스트립의 현장적용에 따른 소음특성 평가

        고속도로 영업소 진입로에는 운전자에게 주의환기를 주기 위해 횡방향 럼블스트립이 설치되어 있다. 이러한 럼블스트립은 대부분 직사각형 형상을 갖고 있다. 럼블스트립의 형상에 따라 소음의 특성이 다르게 나타나는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 직사각형 형태의 럼블스트립을 원형의 럼블스트립으로 개선함에 따른 소음특성 변화에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 서울외곽순환고속도로 영업소 광장에 개선된 원형 형상의 럼블스트립을 적용하고, 사후 모니터링을 실시하여 개선 전·후의 소음특성에 대해 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과, 럼블스트립의 개선 전·후 소음특성은 개선후의 교통량이 증가했음에도 소음은 감소하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 차량주행속도는 개선 전·후 모두 약 58km/h로 거의 유사하게 나타났다. 원형의 럼블 스트립이 직사각형 형상의 럼블스트립보다 시간대별로 약 1~3dB(A)의 소음저감 효과가 나타났다. 이런 현장적용의 결과를 볼 때, 횡방향 럼블스트립의 다양한 규격(럼블스트립의 간격, 깊이, 형상 등)에 대한 추가적인 연구를 진행하면 더 우수한 성능의 럼블스트립 규격을 개발할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

        생표고버섯에 대한 마스터 포장 시스템의 현장 적용

        농가로부터 판매처까지의 유통단계에서 변화하는 온도 조 건에 노출된 생표고버섯의 저장성향상을 확보하기 위해 개 별포장과 2차 포장을 결합시킨 마스터 포장 시스템을 적용 하였다. 온도가 저온으로 유지되는 수송과 저장 단계에서는 1차와 2차 포장의 결합 형태로 유통되고, 온도가 높은 판매 단계에서는 외부 2차 포장을 해체한 후 1차 포장 조건에서 적절한 가스농도를 확보할 수 있는 개념으로 설계하고, 2차 마스터 포장 내에는 Ca(OH)2의 이산화탄소 흡수제를 포함 시켰다. 유통흐름 중에서 포장의 온습도와 기체조성을 측정 하고, 마지막 단계인 판매처에서 포장을 개봉하여 버섯의 품질을 측정하였다. 공기조성을 유지하는 관행적인 통기성 천공 포장을 대조구로 함께 유통흐름을 거치게 하여 저장 후 품질을 비교하였다. 초기의 수송 및 저장 단계에서 적절 한 저온조건이 유지되지 못한 것으로 나타났으나, 유통의 전체 과정에서 버섯 주위에 산소 농도 0.4~4.2%, 이산화탄 소 농도 0.7~1.7%로 품질보존에 도움이 되는 기체조성이 유지되었다. 포장 전 예건처리가 버섯의 품질보존에 효과가 있는 반면에, 마스터 포장 시스템의 긍정적 효과는 비예건 버섯에 뚜렷이 나타났다. 보다 효과적인 버섯 품질보존을 위해서 예건 처리 및 온도관리와 함께 조화된 마스터 포장 시스템의 설계가 추가적으로 이루지고 검토될 필요가 있는 것으로 생각된다. Master packaging system is a technology combining primary and secondary packaging to preserve the fresh produce in the supply chain. Master packaging system with tailor-designed gas transfer and CO2 absorber of Ca(OH)2 was applied to fresh shiitake mushroom in its supply from farm to retail store. The temperature, humidity and package atmosphere were monitored through the distribution and/or storage until the packages were opened to measure the mushroom quality. Conventional perforated individual packages without secondary master pack were prepared and travelled the same path for comparison purpose. While high temperature history was observed in some initial period of actual practice of the mushroom transportation and storage unexpectedly, the package atmosphere around the produce in the master packaging system was maintained at modified atmosphere consisting of O2 concentration of 0.4 to 4.2% and CO2 concentration of 0.7 to 1.7%, which is known to be beneficial for the mushroom preservation. While curing the mushrooms with precooled drying was effective for quality preservation, positive effect of master packaging system could be apparent for the uncured mushroom. Harmonized combination of curing treatment, master packaging system and temperature management was suggested for the best quality preservation of the fresh shiitake mushroom.

        능동형 소음저감 기법을 위한 도로교통소음 예측 모형 평가 연구

        PURPOSES: The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the effectiveness of an active noise cancellation (ANC) system in reducing the traffic noise level against frequencies from the predictive model developed by previous research. The predictive model is based on ISO 9613-2 standards using the Noble close proximity (NCPX) method and the pass-by method. This means that the use of these standards is a powerful tool for analyzing the traffic noise level because of the strengths of these methods. Traffic noise analysis was performed based on digital signal processing (DSP) for detecting traffic noise with the pass-by method at the test site. METHODS : There are several analysis methods, which are generally divided into three different types, available to evaluate traffic noise predictive models. The first method uses the classification standard of 12 vehicle types. The second method is based on a standard of four vehicle types. The third method is founded on 5 types of vehicles, which are different from the types used by the second method. This means that the second method not only consolidates 12 vehicle types into only four types, but also that the results of the noise analysis of the total traffic volume are reflected in a comparison analysis of the three types of methods. The constant percent bandwidth (CPB) analysis was used to identify the properties of different frequencies in the frequency analysis. A-weighting was applied to the DSP and to the transformation process from analog to digital signal. The root mean squared error (RMSE) was applied to compare and evaluate the predictive model results of the three analysis methods. RESULTS: The result derived from the third method, based on the classification standard of 5 vehicle types, shows the smallest values of RMSE and max and min error. However, it does not have the reduction properties of a predictive model. To evaluate the predictive model of an ANC system, a reduction analysis of the total sound pressure level (TSPL), dB(A), was conducted. As a result, the analysis based on the third method has the smallest value of RMSE and max error. The effect of traffic noise reduction was the greatest value of the types of analysis in this research. CONCLUSIONS : From the results of the error analysis, the application method for categorizing vehicle types related to the 12-vehicle classification based on previous research is appropriate to the ANC system. However, the performance of a predictive model on an ANC system is up to a value of traffic noise reduction. By the same token, the most appropriate method that influences the maximum reduction effect is found in the third method of traffic analysis. This method has a value of traffic noise reduction of 31.28 dB(A). In conclusion, research for detecting the friction noise between a tire and the road surface for the 12 vehicle types needs to be conducted to authentically demonstrate an ANC system in the Republic of Korea.

      • Micro PAVER의 국내 적용을 위한 적정화에 대한 연구

        현재 공항포장은 기존 포장관련정보의 관리에 대한 어려움이 있고, 장기공용으로 인해 유지보수비용이 증가하고 있어 예산의 효율적 활용과 공항포장의 체계적 유지관리가 필요하다. 이를 위해서 포장관리시스템을 도입할 필요성이 있다. 본 연구에서는 외국의 여러 포장관리시스템 중 세계적으로 널리 활용되고 있는 Micro PAVER를 국내에 도입하기 위한 방안을 연구하였다. 외국의 시스템을 국내에 적용하기 위해서는 환경차이, 포장관리수준 차이 등으로 인해 발생하는 오류를 최소화하기 위해 국내에 맞도록 적정화(customization)하는 연구가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 Micro PAVER를 국내에 도입하기 위해 필요한 적정화 연구를 수행하였다 Micro PAVER의 논리 및 구조를 분석하여 Micro PAVER 운영에 주요하게 작용하는 부분을 기존 포장평가자료와 포장 전문가의 설문조사 방법을 이용하여 적정화하였다. 주요 적정화 부분은 포장파손예측모형, critical PCI, PCI에 따른 유지보수비용, 유지보수공법 및 단가, PCI 등급이다. The management of existing airfield pavement information has currently become difficult and the maintenance cost has increased over time due to the long-term performance. It is needed to develop the method for effective budget allocation and systematic airfield pavement management services. The objectives of this paper are to introduce Micro PAVER, one of the popular pavement management systems, into our management system and customize Micro PAVER based on our environment and pavement management level. This study focused on the analysis on logics and structures of Micro PAVER and customization of important parts in the program using the existing pavement evaluation data and survey method. Customized items selected in this study included the pavement deterioration prediction models, critical PCI, maintenance cost by PCI, maintenance or rehabilitation method and unit cost, and PCI rank.
