      • 본태성 고혈압 환자의 혈청 인지질 지방산 조성에 관한 연구

        본태성 고혈압 환자군(72명)과 정상혈압군(103명)을 대상으로 혈청 인지질 지방산 조성과 이들과 혈압과의 상관관계를 살펴본 결과, 혈청 인지질 지방산 조성은 고혈압환자에서 이미 변화되어 있었으며, 특히 지방산의 패턴은 성별과 폐경 여부에 따라 유의한 차이를 보여 성호르몬이 혈청 인지질 지방산 조성변화에 중요한 요인이 됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한 지방산의 desaturation과 elongation 지표가 고혈압 환자에서 더 높아 desaturation과 elongation이 고혈압환자군에서 증가하여 있음을 간접적으로 보여주었다. 지방산과 혈압과의 상관관계는 폐경 후 여자에서 집중적으로 나타나 지방산과 혈압과의 관계가 폐경 및 여성포르몬과 밀접한 관계가 있는 것으로 생각된다. 에스트로겐은 cyclooxygenase와 phospholipase A₂등의 효소에 영향을 미침으로써 비정상적인 eicosanoids의 형성을 초래하고, 고혈압과 관상동맥혈관의 경련 등에 관여하는 것으로 생각된다.

        This paper describes the automated call routing for call center system based on speech recognition. We focus on the task of automatically routing telephone calls based on a users fluently spoken response instead of touch tone menus in an interactive voice response system. Vector based call routing algorithm is investigated and normalization method suggested. Call center database which was collected by KT is used for call routing experiment. Experimental results evaluating call-classification from transcribed speech are reported for that database. In case of small training data, an average call routing error reduction rate of 9% is observed when normalization method is used.

        콜린의 한국인 영양소 섭취기준 제정 검토를 위한 문헌 고찰 및 향후 과제

        Choline, an essential nutrient for humans, is required for the structural integrity of the cell membranes, methyl-group metabolism, synthesis of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, synthesis of the membrane phospholipid components of the cell membranes, and the transport of lipids and cholesterol. Choline can be synthesized in the body, but it is insufficient to meet the daily requirements and hence it must be obtained through the diet. In the United States/Canada, Australia/New Zealand, Europe, China, and Taiwan, the adequate intake (AI) and tolerable upper intake level (UL) of choline have been established, while the establishment of the 2020 Dietary Reference Intakes for Koreans (KDRI) for choline was postponed due to the lack of a choline database for Korean foods and studies on the choline intake of Koreans. However, as part of the preparation work for the 2020 DRI revision and finalization, choline intake and the possibility of disease occurrence were verified through analysis of published data. The groundwork for the subsequent establishment of a choline DRI was laid through a literature search, evaluation, and review of the literature reported from 1949 up to 2019. This can be regarded as the culmination of this project. According to the results of randomized controlled trials (RCTs), cohort studies, case-control studies, and cross-sectional observational studies in humans, approximately 400-500 mg/day of choline intake was effective in preventing liver function damage (fatty liver), neural tube damage, cardiovascular disease, breast cancer, and cognitive function improvement. The same amount of choline intake, however, also correlated with the risk of prostate and colorectal cancer. At present, there is limited information available on choline intake and health outcomes, particularly for the Korean population. More human studies, including clinical trials on the requirements and the physiological benefits associated with dietary intake, are needed to establish the KDRI for choline.

        고분자 전해질 연료전지의 산소환원반응에 대한 Pt-M 합금 촉매의 최근 연구 동향

        Due to environmental pollution and global warming, research on new energy sources that can replace fossil fuels is important. A fuel cell is an eco-friendly energy conversion system that discharges water, and uses hydrogen as fuel. Although platinum is a widely used catalyst in PEMFCs, it has commercial limitations because of its low stability and high cost. Pt-based bimetal catalysts are being studied to improve performance and reduce the cost of fuel cell catalysts. Pt-M is excellent in terms of performance, stability, and cost, avoiding the disadvantages of the Pt catalyst. Studies on various bimetallic catalysts have been conducted, and among them, studies on Pt-Ni, Pt-Co, and Pt-Fe have been the most active. This review summarizes reports of fuel cell catalysts using Pt-M from 2014 to 2020. In recent studies, in order to improve the Pt-M performance, there have been attempts to change the pretreatment, the type of support, and the composition of Pt and M. There have also been studies that have applied new synthetic methods, which are different from traditional synthetic methods. Many Pt-M catalysts have shown better performance than commercial Pt/C, and exhibited stable performance in durability tests.

        위암 환자에서 위 점막 인지질 분획의 지방산 조성

        Although the age-standardized incidence of gastric cancer has decreased in Korea, it remains the second most commontype of cancer. The purpose of this study was to analyze the phospholipid fatty acid compositions of gastric mucosa in gastriccancer. Cancerous mucosa and noncancerous mucosa adjacent to cancerous tissues were obtained from 29 patients whohad undergone gastrectomy for gastric adenocarcinoma. Phosphatidylcholine (PC), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE),phosphatidylinositol (PI), and phosphatidylserine (PS) were separated from phospholipids by thin-layer chromatography,and fatty acids were analyzed by gas chromatography. In cancerous mucosa, saturated fatty acids of total phospholipids andstearic acid of PE and PC contents as well as total phospholipids were significantly more abundant than in noncanceroustissues. The ratios of ω6 fatty acid products to linoleic acid of PC, PE, PI, and PS contents as well as total phospholipids weresignificantly higher in cancerous mucosa than in noncancerous mucosa. Arachidonic acid levels of PE and PI weresignificantly higher, but the PC level was lower in cancerous mucosa. These results suggest that the characteristic differencesin fatty acid compositions of phospholipids and their subfractions shown in gastric cancerous mucosa may be affected bychanges in lipid metabolism in gastric carcinogenesis. Further studies on structural and functional changes in phospholipidsrelated to gastric carcinogenesis will be needed.

        구강편평세포암에서 telomerase 활성도의 임상적 연관성에 관한 연구

        Telomerase is a ribonucleoprotein that synthesizes telomere repeats. It has been reported that activation of telomerase was associtated with immortalization, proliferative activity and carcinogenesis. Recently, telomerase activity has been extensively studied in many kinds of malignant tumors for clinical diagnostic and/or prognostic utilities. In neuroblastoma, breast carcinoma, gastric carcinoma, non-small cell lung carcinoma, close relationship has been reported between high telomerase activity and lymph node metastasis, tumor aggressiveness and poor prognosis. The purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical implication of telomerase activity assay as an adjunctive factor in decision-making on neck node management, speedy pre-operative judging on histologic malignancy grading. Thus we performed semi-quantitative assay of telomerase activity using Telomerase PCR ELISA $kit^{(R)}$(Boeringer Manheim, Germany) and evaluated correlation between telomerase activity and tumor size, neck node metastasis, Anneroth malignancy score and influence of pre-operative chemotherapy on its activity in 27 cases of oral squamous cell carcinomas and 18 cases of normal oral epithelium. Also, correlation between telomerase activities and PCNA indices was evaluated. The results were obtained as follows: 1. The telomerase activities were detected in 24 specimens out of 27 oral squamous cell carcinoma specimens (88.9%) and in 5 specimens out of 18 normal oral epithelium specimens (27.8%). The mean value of telomerase activities was $0.9793{\pm}0.3428$ in 24 oral squamous cell carcinoma specimens and $0.4855{\pm}0.1117$ in 5 normal oral epithelium specimens. The positivity rate and mean value of telomerase activities in oral squamous cell carcinoma specimens were significantly higher than those of normal oral epithelium specimens (p<0.05). 2. There was no significant correlation between total Anneroth malignancy score and telomerase activity (p>0.05), but points of mitosis index and depth of invasion were significantly correlated with telomerase activities (p<0.05). 3. The positive immunohistochemical staining for PCNA(proliferating cell nuclear antigen) was observed in 26 specimens out of 27 oral squamous cell carcinoma specimens and mean value of PCNA indices of 26 specimens was $53.67{\pm}26.46$. PCNA indices were significantly correlated with telomerase activities (p<0.05). 4. The mean value of telomerase activities was significantly higher in pathologic T3/T4 group than in T1/T2 group (p<0.01). There was no significant difference of mean value of telomerase activities between pathologic neck node positive group and negative group (p> 0.05). Pre-operative chemotherapy significantly lowered the telomerase activities (p<0.05). The above results suggested telomerase activity could be used as diagnostic marker and adjunctive parameter for judging on histologic malignancy in oral squamous cell carcinoma.
