        순기화중탕(順氣和中湯)과 Doxorubicin의 병용이 Colon-26의 항암효과에 미치는 영향

        In order to evaluate the anti-tumor and synergic effect of Soonkiwhajungtang with doxorubicin, the inhibitory concentration(IC), IC50 and IC90 of single use of doxorubicin and Soonkiwhajungtang with their concomitant treatment against Colon-26(Murine Rectum Carcinoma) was observed using MTT(Microculture Tetrazolium test) assay. In addition, their anti-tumor effects were also observed in the xenograft nude mice models against 3LL cell lines. Soonkiwhajungtang may only mimic direct anti-tumor effects against 3LL cell lines, but signs of worsening induced by implantation of tumor cell lines generally decreased, while the total WBC and lymphocyte numbers increased. Therefore, experimentation suggests that Soonkiwhajungtang extracts reduced the critical toxicity of doxorubicin, and that Soonkiwhajungtang extracts have favorable synergic effects when combined with doxorubicin.

        열공망막박리에서 일차수술로서 20게이지와 23게이지 유리체절제술의 비교

        Purpose: The efficacy of 20-gauge and 23-gauge vitrectomy system was investigated in primary vitrectomy for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. Methods: Eyes that underwent primary vitrectomy without scleral buckling for the treatment of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment were followed up at least 6 months and were reviewed retrospectively. Anatomic results, functional outcomes, operation time and complications were compared between 20-gauge and 23-gauge groups. Results: Among 59 eyes of 59 patients, the 20-gauge group had 29 eyes of 29 patients and 23-gauge group had 30 eyes of 30 patients. Anatomic success after a single operation was obtained in 23 eyes (79.3%) of the 20-gauge group and 28 eyes (93.3%) of the 23-gauge group. Recurrence occurred in 6 eyes (20.7%) in the 20-gauge and in 2 eyes (6.6%) in the 23-gauge group. Retinal reattachment in all of these eyes was obtained through reoperation. Visual acuity improved logMAR 0.2 or more in 19 eyes (65.5%) of the 20-gauge group and 20 eyes (66.7%) of the 23 gauge group (p=0.153, 0.215). The average operation time of the 23-gauge group was 80.2 minutes, which was significantly shorter than the 94.8 minutes of the 20-gauge group (p=0.008). Transient ocular hypertension and progression of lens opacity were the most common complications in the both groups. Conclusions: Twenty-three-gauge transconjuctival sutureless vitrectomy achieved outcomes comparable with 20-gauge vitrectomy, with significantly shorter operation time in repair of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. It is considered as a viable alternative to 20-gauge vitrectomy in selected cases.

        굴절교정레이저각막절제술 10년 후 각막조직의 공초점현미경 소견

        Purpose: The present study compares, using a new generation high‐resolution in vivo confocal microscope, the corneas of patients who underwent photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) 10 years previously with those of healthy persons. Case Summary: A confocal microscope (Confoscan 4.0, Fortune Technology, Italy) was used to get the data from healthy volunteers and patients. Corneal cross‐sectional images of the epithelium, Bowman's layer, stromal layer (anterior, middle and posterior keratocyte), Descemet's membrane, and endothelium were compared. In PRK corneas, the superficial epithelium was nearly intact and the subbasal nerve plexus was visible, but some hyperreflective areas were also found in the nerve plexus. Because of the absence of the Bowman's layer, some ECM and keratocytes were visualized in their optical section. Although anterior keratocytes showed uneven distribution with less cellularity, middle and posterior keratocytes looked unaffected. Likewise, there were no differences in the endothelium between the two groups. Conclusions: Ten years after PRK, the subbasal nerve plexus and anterior keratocytes showed histologic changes after corneal wound recovery.

        반하사심탕(半夏瀉心湯)이 Doxorubicin에 의해 유발(誘發)된 심장독성(心臟毒性) 및 임상증상(臨床症狀)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        The effect of Banhasasim-tang extracts on the cardiac toxicity and general symptom induced by Doxorubicin administration(Three injection protocol) were monitored using male ICR mice. The changes of body weight, clinical signs, necropsy findings and organ weights of heart were observed. The results were as followed. 1. Decrease of body weight after Doxorubicin treatment were dose-dependently inhibited by Banhasasim-tang extracts. 2. The degrees of anorexia, ataxia and dehydration that were observed in Doxorubicin treatment group were dose-dependently inhibited by Banhasasim-tang extracts. 3. Increase of absolute and relative heart weight observed in Doxorubicin treatment group were dose-dependently inhibited by Banhasasim-tang extracts. In addition. the degrees of heart congestion and enlargement were significantly and dose-dependently decreased after Banhasasim-tang extracts dosing groups compared to that of Doxorubicin treatment group. In conclusion, the toxicity of Doxorubicin treatment(decrease of body weights, clinical signs such as anorexia, ataxia and dehydration, changes of organ weights of heart) was inhibited and/or prevented by Banhasasim-tang extracts. According to these results. it is considered that Banhasasim-tang has some preventive effect against to toxicity induced by Doxorubicin.

        양격산화탕(凉膈散火湯)이 뇌혈류(腦血流) 및 뇌허혈(腦虛血) 손상(損傷)에 미치는 영향

        This study demonstrates the effects of Yanggyuksanhwa-Tang, Sasang constitutional herb prescription reported its clinical effect on the stroke of the So-yang In(少陽人), on the cerebral blood flow changes induced by nitro L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME) treatment and ischemic brain damage induced by the middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) in the rats. The changes of the arterial blood pressure, cerebral blood flow, and the diameter of the pial artery were measured in rats treated with L-NAME. And the changes of the infarct size, volume, and plasma tumor necrosis factor alpha ($TNF-{\alpha}$) levels were measured in the rats that the middle cerebral artery has been occluded by the intraluminal suture thread method. Yanggyuksanhwa-Tang was administered by the i.v. injection on the L-NAME treated rats, by the i.o. administration on the MCAO rats. The results is 1. The changes of the arterial blood pressure was not different statistically between in the L-NAME treated control group and in the Yanggyuksanhwa-Tang administered group. 2. Increase in the cerebral blood flow induced by L-NAME treatment was attenuated in the Yanggyuksanhwa-Tang administered group significantly (P<0.05) as compared with the L-NAME treated control group. 3. Decrease in the diameter of the pial artery induced by L-NAME treatment was attenuated about 18% in the Yanggyuksanhwa-Tang administered group as compared with the L-NAME treated control group. 4. Ischemic damaged infarct areas were decreased significantly (P<0.05) in the interaural 12mm, 10mm, and 6mm brain sections of the Yanggyuksanhwa-Tang administered group as compared the MCA occluded control group. 5. Total ischemic infarct volume was decreased significantly (P<0.05) in the Yanggyuksanhwa-Tang administered group as compared the MCA occluded control group. 6. Plasma $TNF-{\alpha}$ levels were decreased significantly (P<0.01) in the Yanggyuksanhwa-Tang administered group as compared the MCA occluded control group.

So, it is considered or expected that Soonkiwhajungtang extracts were reduced the critical toxicity of doxorubicin and shows favorable synergic effect with doxorubidn and Soonkiwhajungtang extracts.

        CASA 기반의 마이크간 전달함수 비 추정 알고리즘

        본 논문은 비정상 (nonstationary)특성을 가지는 잡음환경에서 마이크간 전달함수 비 (RTF, Relative Transfer Function) 추정 알고리즘을 제안한다. 음성을 이용한 다양한 기기에 다중 마이크를 이용한 잡음제거 기술은 널리 사용되며, 이때 각 마이크간의 입력 신호 사이의 관계는 필수적으로 추정되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 OM-LSA(Optimally-Modified Log-Spectral Amplitude)기반의 추정 방식에 CASA (Computational Auditory Scene Analysis)를 접목시킨 방식을 제안한다. 제안한 방법의 성능 검증을 위하여 비정상 백색 잡음 (nonstationary white Gaussian noise) 환경에서 10명 화자 발음을 이용한 마이크간 전달함수 비 추정 성능 평가 실험을 수행하였다. 잡음 신호가 초당 8dB 증감하는 환경에서 SBF (Signal Blocking Factor)가 평균 2.65dB 개선됨을 확인하였다. Identification of RTF (Relative Transfer Function) between sensors is essential to multichannel speech enhancement system. In this paper, we present an approach for estimating the relative transfer function of speech signal. This method adapts a CASA (Computational Auditory Scene Analysis) technique to the conventional OM-LSA (Optimally-Modified Log-Spectral Amplitude) based approach. Evaluation of the proposed approach is performed under simulated stationary and nonstationary WGN (White Gaussian Noise). Experimental results confirm advantages of the proposed approach.

      • 추진제 유량 제어를 위한 면적 가변형 Cavitation venturi 유량 특성 예비해석

        본 연구에서는 액체 로켓 엔진의 추력 조절을 위하여 추진제 유량 제어용 캐비테이션 벤츄리를 설계하였다. 설계한 벤츄리에 대하여 벤츄리 핀틀 스트로크(h)에 따라 유량특성을 수치해석을 통하여 확인하였다. 해석결과 설계된 벤츄리는 유량계수가 일정하며 추진제가 선형적으로 제어될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 핀틀 개도에 따라서 캐비테이션이 발생하는 벤츄리 전 후단 압력 비(P₁/P₂)는 h=1 mm일 경우 최소값으로 0.7이며 h=5 mm일 때 최대값 0.775임을 확인하였으며 벤츄리의 안정적인 작동 영역은 0.7미만인 것을 확인하였다. In this study, a cavitation venturi for controlling the propellant flow rate was designed to control thrust of a liquid rocket engine. The flow characteristics of the designed venturi were confirmed by numerical analysis according to the venturi pintle opening. The analytical results show that the designed venturi has a relatively constant discharge coeffiecient and the propellant can be controlled linearly. According to the pintle opening, the venturi upstream and downstream pressure ratios at which the cavitation occurs are less than 0.7 at h = 1 mm and less than 0.775 at h = 5 mm, and the stable operating range of Venturi is less than 0.7.
