The object that we have researched the design for a long life of product is to search for the method to cope with the various environment problems where our mankind is confronting in the field of Production Design. The environment problem on earth is affecting seriously the enterprise which produces the product, the user who consumes it and even the field of product design. Now we live our daily life with a lot of artifacts while the citification and modernization have been progressing around us. Especially, 20 century was the times of the highly advanced scientific civilization and industrialization. Therefore it affected decisively our life environment base nowadays. The result was that our human life became rich because of the advanced development of industry, productivity and distribution structure. On the other side, the industrial system in the period of these massive production and massive consuming is bearing various problems proportionally. Those are the depletion of resources and energy, earth environmental pollution and various kinds of waste. In addition, the material which cannot recycle is appearing at the large quantity. This is the actuality of now. Our subject is how product design will cope with it as counter measures and the subject is very important to our mankind and earth environment.

The purpose of this study was to explore a new direction and future vision of the universal design. In order to achieve the purpose, this study first gave an overview of universal design including backgrounds, basic concepts, and principals. Second, this study analyzed several problems of the practical usage of the universal design. The concept of universal design was proposed as to design goods and environments to meet all users' needs as possible as. However, it has many problems in practical aspects in that most of goods and environments grounded on the universal design are focused not on all users' needs but on the needs of the disabled. Especially, the needs of children and the old people are not considered enough. The universal design in 21 century should take a new direction considering all users' needs and satisfaction. It can be said to universalize the universal design.

Driving or ride comfort of a car is one of the most important factors of the evaluating performance of car. Ride comfort is typically affected by vibration, noise, dynamic movement and ergonomic factors such as visibility. texture and spaciousness. Among these comfort factors, ride comfort vibration is heavily aftected by road profile, tire, suspension, seat, body structure and engine mounting system. In this study, ride vibration mode of the human body is analyzed through the integrated analysis of vehicle basic ride vibration mode and vehicle components vibration modes. Also the effects of vibration characteristics of tire. suspension, power plant and body structure on the ride vibration are investigated.

This paper presents a method for calculating contact force between bodies in space. At each integration time step. the proposed method finds expected contact points on bodies and then calculates penetration, velocity of penetration and contact force. A continuous analysis method and multi-point contact method are adopted to calculate contact force. To get the accurate expected contact point on their outlines. a new algorithm is developed. Through the comparison with DADS, the accuracy of the proposed algorithm is proved.

지문인식 시스템이란 저장되어서 가지고 있는 지문data와 지금 현재sensor로 입력받은 지문data익 유사도를 측정하는 system이다. 현 시대의 보안에 관한 요구가 많아지면서, 개인password나PIN(Personal Identification Number)같이 외워서 사용해야만 하는 불편함이 없고, 본인임을 쉽게 증명할 수 있는 생체정보를 이용한 ID system이 각광을 받고 있다. 이러한 상황 속에서 가장 손쉽게 접할 수 있는Finger-print Identification system을 구현할 것이다. 지문인식 시스템은 sensor의 방식에 따라 여러가지ㅂ로 분류되는데, 본 논문에서는 광학방식 센서를 이용한 지문인식 시스템을 구현 하였다. 본 지문인식 시스템은 처음 지문영상을 센서로 입력 받고 그 입력된 영상을 전처리(pre-processing)해서 지문의 특징점을 추출한다. 이렇게 특징점들을 획득한 후, 후처리(post-processing)과정을 거쳐서 database에 저장 한다. 이렇게 지문영상의database를 구성한 후, 비교하고자 하는 지문영상을 센서로 입력 받아 지문영상을 획득할 때와 같은 processing과정을 거치고, 그 결과물과 database에 저장되어있는 지문과 1:N matching을 한다. 이렇게 해서 유사한 지문영상을 유사도에따라 출력한다.
