        단지형 도시근교주거의 현황 및 선호 조사

        The purpose of this study is to understand the present housing condition of the suburban housing complex, and the residents' preferences to make their living condition better in Yong-in and Yang-pyeong, Pocheon, Kwang-ju and Kimpo in Kyung-Ki province, Korea. Questionnaire survey has been carried out to figure out the current status and residents' preferences of the Suburban housing complexes (hereafter SHC). The study showed the present status and the demands of people for their houses as a result like the below. First, currently the SHCs are managed by a joint control type, and the preferences of the residents' showed the similar way. Because of this status, the SHC planning is supposed to have the self-governing management and community space to support the activity of their community. Second, most SHCs doesn't have many public facility, in contrast, each house has various exteriors. This result shows the residents want more to develop their own houses' exterior than that of the SHC's public facility. Prior to plan the SHC, a program should be considered to give better understanding to residens what is the complexed life and make them choose what they really want to have. Third, the studied SHCs' renovation activities are commonly focussed on the exteriors. This shows the residents' life style is focussed more on the out-door life. The planning for the future SHC is supposed to have the points that could follow up the out-door friendly situations.

        Rhizopus delemar 발효 백수오의 이화학적 성분 분석

        본 연구에서는 발효 백수오의 이용성 및 기능성을 증진시킨 식품 및 소재를 개발하기 위한 연구의 일환으로 기초 연구를 실시하였다. 총산도는 대조구에 비해 증가하는 경향을 보였고 발효 4일차에 0.48%로 가장 높았다. 환원당 함량 측정결과 발효 4일차 백수오는 대조구 비해 3.5배 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 유리당 함량 분석결과 발효 4일차 백수오의 80% 에탄올 추출물의 경우 glucose의 함량이 대조구에 비해 약 27.7배 증가하였고, 열수추출물에서도 약 15배 증가하였다. 총 아미노산은 필수아미노산 8종을 포함해서 총 17종이 검출되었다. 배양 8일차에는 90.36 mg/100 g 으로 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 백수오의 쓴맛을 내는 아미노산 arginine은 발효기간 동안 대조구에 비해 함량이 감소하였고, 단맛을 내는 아미노산인 alanine, threonine과 감칠맛을 나타내는 aspartic acid은 증가하였다. 백수오에 존재하는 지표물질인 cynandione A를 분석한 결과 80% 에탄올 추출물과 물 추출물은 발효 8일차에 가장 높은 함량을 나타내었다. 본 연구에서 R. delemar의 발효를 통해 백수오의 기능성을 증대시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있었고, 이러한 R. delemar 균주 발효 백수오를 이용하여 기능성 및 생리활성 효능 등이 증대된 식품소재 및 건강기능식품으로 개발 가능성이 있음을 제시하였다. 따라서 본 연구결과를 기초자료로 하여 백수오의 기능성을 증대시키기에 적합한 R. delemar 균주를 이용하여 배양일에 따른 백수오의 이화학적 특성 및 성분분석과 더불어 세포실험 등을 통해 기대되는 생리활성 효능에 대한 검증이 필요할 것으로 생각된다. These results are indicated that fermentation with Rhizopus strains could be used to increase the bioactivity of CWR and the fermented CWR can be used as a functional material and edible resource in the food industry.

        A gene expression signature of FOXM1 predicts the prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma

        FOXM1 (Forkhead box M1) is a key regulator of tumorigenesis. Previous studies demonstrated that FOXM1 overexpression was strongly correlated with poor prognosis in various cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In this study, we examined an association between the gene expression signature of FOXM1 and HCC patient outcome. The co-expressed gene set of FOXM1, which is significantly associated with the prognosis of HCC patients, was identified by analyzing the gene expression profiles of 100 patients with HCC, and this gene set was validated in two independent HCC patient cohorts (n=573). In multivariate analysis, the co-expressed gene set of FOXM1 was the most significant prognostic factor for overall survival in patients with HCC (hazard ratio=1.706, 95% confidence intervals=1.176–2.475, P=0.005). We also analyzed different types of cancer, including pancreatic adenocarcinoma, lung adenocarcinoma, breast carcinoma and bladder urothelial carcinoma, to verify the association between the co-expressed gene set of FOXM1 and patient prognosis, and we found a consistent prognostic significance, regardless of tumor type. Finally, we identified a putative signaling pathway in which miR-34a acts as an upstream regulator of the FOXM1-MYC signaling network; this pathway may be ultimately responsible for the poor prognosis of HCC patients. The prognostic subgroups defined by the gene expression signature of FOXM1 could help predict high-risk patients and may guide selection of the best treatment strategy.

        Rhizopus delemar로 발효된 지황의 이화학적 성분 분석

        Background: This study was carried out to determine the physicochemical components of Rehmannia glutinosa (RG) fermented with Rhizopus delemar. Methods and Results: Physicochemical components such as changes in moisture content, pH value, total acidity, amount of reducing sugars as well as quantity of free sugars, free amino acids, and catalpol were investigated. Result showed that, the moisture content ranged from 64.26 to 65.51%. The pH and total acidity of the fermented RG decreased significantly during fermentation. The reducing sugar content ranged from 0.10 to 1.34%. The most abundant main free sugars were identified as raffinose, xylose, glucose, fructose, and sucrose. The sucrose content in 80% ethanol and in water extracts increased during RG fermentation. In total, 26 free amino acids were detected, including seven essential amino acids. In addition, the quantity of free amino acids decreased significantly during fermentation. Finally, the catalpol content of the fermented RG was highest on the 2nd day of fermentation at 2,028.67 ㎎/ 100 g. Conclusions: These results indicated that fermentation of Rhizopus delemar could be used to enhance biological activity, and that fermented RG could be used as a functional material and as an edible resource in food and functional materials industries.

        Bioinformatic identification of prognostic signature defined by copy number alteration and expression of CCNE1 in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer

        Non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) patients frequently fail to respond to treatment and experience disease progression because of their clinical and biological diversity. In this study, we identify a prognostic molecular signature for predicting the heterogeneity of NMIBC by using an integrative analysis of copy number and gene expression data. We analyzed the copy number and gene expression profiles of 404 patients with bladder cancer obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) consortium. Of the 14 molecules with significant copy number alterations that were previously reported, 13 were significantly correlated with copy number and expression changes. Prognostic gene sets based on the 13 genes were developed, and their prognostic values were verified in three independent patient cohorts (n=501). Among them, a signature of CCNE1 and its coexpressed genes was significantly associated with disease progression and validated in the independent cohorts. The CCNE1 signature was an independent risk factor based on the result of a multivariate analysis (hazard ratio=6.849, 95% confidence interval=1.613–29.092, P=0.009). Finally, gene network and upstream regulator analyses revealed that NMIBC progression is potentially mediated by CCND1-CCNE1-SP1 pathways. The prognostic molecular signature defined by copy number and expression changes of CCNE1 suggests a novel diagnostic tool for predicting the likelihood of NMIBC progression.

      • Quantile Regression과 Bayesian 빈도해석을 통한 미래 해수면 상승 전망

        미래 해수면 상승 시나리오 구축 시 해수면은 태풍, 바람 및 조위 등 해양수문기상자료의 신뢰성에 따라 예측 결과의 신뢰성이 결정되므로, 자료의 불확실성을 정량적으로 평가할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 Quantile Regression 빈도해석과 Bayesian 빈도해석을 연계하여 조위 자료의 불확실성을 정량적으로 평가하였다. 장기 데이터의 연극치 및 연평균 값의 경향성을 분석하기 위해 선형회귀분석 및 Quantile Regression 기법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 검정을 위해 우리나라 연안 20 개소 조위의 비정상성 빈도해석을 실시한 결과, 100년 빈도 기준 약 3.35m~3.70m의 불확실성 범위를 보였으며, 정상성 기준 빈도해석에 비해 약 0.5m 이상 해수면 상승이 미래 발생할 것으로 전망되었다.

        황기 및 발효 황기 첨가량별 발아 흑미죽의 품질특성 및 항산화 활성

        본 연구는 황기와 발효 황기를 이용하여 발아 흑미죽을 제조하였고, 고령친화식품 개발을 위한 소재로 활용하기 위해 품질특성 및 이화학적 특성을 비교하고자 하였다. 황기 및 발효 황기는 증류수로 추출한 뒤 동결건조하여 분석에 사용하였다. 추출물을 농도별(0%, 1%, 3%, 5%)로 첨가한 후 죽을 제조하였고, pH, 점도, 환원당 등 품질특성을 조사하였다. 황기 및 발효 황기의 첨가량이 증가할수록 pH의 변화는 없었지만 산도와 환원당은 증가하는 경향을 보였으며, 소재 첨가량이 증가할수록 유의적으로 증가하였다. DPPH 및 ABTS 라디칼 소거능에서는 발효 황기 5%를 첨가한 발아 흑미죽이 각각 62.59%, 78.68%로 가장 높은 라디칼 소거능을 보였으며, 대조구에 비해 첨가량이 증가할수록 라디칼 소거능이 증가하였다. 총 유리아미노산 함량은 황기 및 발효 황기 첨가량이 증가할수록 높아지는 경향을 보였으며, 대조구에 비해 각각 약 2.6배, 4.2배 증가한 함량을 나타내었다. 특히 GABA 함량은 발효 황기 5% 첨가 발아 흑미죽에서 187.74 ㎎/㎏으로 대조구에 비해 약 3.4배로 증가한 함량을 나타내었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 발아 흑미죽의 제조에 황기 및 발효 황기를 첨가하여 제조하면 생리활성물질의 함량 및 항산화 활성을 높일 수 있을 것으로 판단되며, 이를 활용하여 고령친화 식품 또는 기능성 소재로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. In this study, germinated black rice porridge was produced using Astragalus membranaceus (AM) and fermented A. membranaceus (FAM), and an attempt was made to compare their quality characteristics and antioxidant activities which are properties useful for the development of elderly-friendly food materials. As in previous studies, the black rice variety with the highest gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) content was germinated for three days, and the AM and FAM were extracted with distilled water and then freeze-dried and used for analysis. A porridge was prepared with the addition of extracts at different concentrations and the quality characteristics such as pH, acidity, and reducing sugar levels were investigated. The analysis showed that the content of free amino acids tended to increase with an increase in the amount of the AM and FAM added and the content increased by about 2.6 and 4.2 fold, respectively, compared with the control. In particular, the GABA content was 187.74 ㎎/㎏ in germinated black rice porridge with the addition of 5% FAM, which was about a 3.4-fold increase compared to the control. Therefore, this study suggests that while preparing germinated black rice porridge the addition of AM and FAM can increase the content and antioxidant activities of physiologically active substances and enhance its utility as an age-friendly food or functional material.
