The intrinsic kinetics parameters for the hydrogen reduction of copper sulfate have been determined from experimental data obtained under linearly increasing temperature. Various different mathematical procedures have been applied to the analysis of the data. The kinetics of this reaction can be described by an overall first-order expression in terms of the amount of unreacted copper sulfate with an activation energy of 75.4kJ/㏖. In comparison to the isothermal method, the nonisothermal technique is shown to be quite convenient and require fewer experimental runs for the determination of intrinsic kinetics.

Effects of kind [Ca(OH)2 and Ca(NO3) 2] and concentration (0.15 and 1.0% ) of Ca and tap water treated for various time (1,2, and 4 days) to Campbell Early (Vitis labruscana B.) cuttings on bud-break, shoot growth, rooting, and respiratory activity were studied. 1.Percent budbreak increased by Ca for 2 days and tap water for 1 day treatments. 2.Prolonged soaking with Ca and water increased shoot growth at early stage. 3.Percent rooting and percent of well rooted cuttings at early stage were increased by various soaking treatments, but the effect was diminished as the application time prolonged. 4.Soaking treatments markedly increased the respiratory activity of the cuttings. Respiratory ac-tivity showed a proportional increase by tap water treatment, while with Ca, respiratory activity increased from 1 to 2 day's treatment regardless of the kind of Ca, and whether remained steady [Ca(NO3) 2] or decreased [Ca(OH) 2], thereafter. 5. Respiratory activity and final percent rooting correlated significantly, and correlation coefficients between respiratory activity and percent budbreak after 8 weeks and shoot length after 2 weeks were highly significant

Shoot tip and node segments derived from cuttings of two grape cultivars (Aramon, Aligote) were cultured in vitro on full - and one half strength MS media supplemented with BA, NAA, and 2,4-D alone and in combination, and the growth was investigated. Full strength, shoot tip, and NAA enhanced the shoot growth. BA alone and/or in combination with NAA was favorable for shoot multiplication regardless of media strength and bud position. Varietal differences were recognized in callus formation in favor of Aramon, and all growth regu-lators, especially BA+ NAA+2,4-D, were effective for callus formation in Aramon. Bud position ef-fect was negligible but half stremgth media was more effective. In Aligote, 2,4-D was most effective for callus formation regardless of media strength.
강 표면에 내마모성 Vanadium Carbide층 형성에 대하여

탄소를 함유하고 있는 철강재를 Fe-V분말을 포함하고 있는 용융 붕사욕에 침적하여 900-1000℃로 가열하면, 철강재 표면에 Vanadium Carbide층이 형성된다. 철강재 조성과 가열온도등이 Vanadium Carbide층의 성장속도에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 또한 경도와 내마모성도 아울러 조사하였다. When steels containing carbon are heated at 900-1000℃ in a fused borax bath containing Fe-V powder, the carbide layers of vananidum are formed on the steel surfaces. Effects of steel composition and the treating condition on the growth rate of vanadium carbide layers were investigated. Hardness and wear-resistant properties of such layers were also tested.

화학증착법은 고융점의 경질재료, 고온재료, 고순도와 완벽한 결정성을 필요로 하는 반도체, 초전도체 및 투명전도체 등의 전자재료의 제조와 신소재 개발 등에 이용되고 있다. 그러나 1000.deg.C 부근의 고온에서 증착반응이 이루어짐으로 그 응용범위가 제한되어 있다. 이러한 제한점을 해결하기 위하여 증착온도를 낮추기 위한 방법으로 비교적 저온에서 분해가 가능한 금속유기 화합물을 반응물로 사용하여 증착반응 온도를 낮출 수가 있으며, 실제로 III-V 또는 II-VI 반도체 제조에는 금속유기 화합물에 의한 화학증착법을 이용하고 있으나, 고가의 금속유기 화합물을 사용하여야 하며 금속유기 화합물의 불안정성, 유독성 때문에 사용에 제한을 받고 있다. 최근에는 플라즈마를 부수에너지원으로 공급하여 줌으로써 증착반응의 온도를 더욱 낮추는 연구가 진행되고 있다.

An economic analysis is one of the most important factor to determine the project feasibility. In some mega projects, however, it is not unique factor to make a Go or No-Go decision because of overriding an economic aspect by some project indirect factors such as political, social, environmental, and technical factors. This paper presents an limited economic analysis focused on the comparison between one 100 stories super tall building and two 30 stories building to have an identical floor area, and only based on a construction cost and a rental cost of those buildings.
