In this paper, the fuzzy control with variable input gain is applied to maintain the consistent tension in the process of taking up and releasing texture. In the process of discharging web on one side rolling it on another, the take-up drum gets smaller on the release drum side as it gets bigger on the rolling side, thus it is necessary to change the balance of velocity between the sides. In order to solve the problem a tension controller is necessary. The PI control method has been employed to maintain the consistent tension, but the PI control method produces a problem which requires an experienced worker with the traits of the machine, in order to perform the fine adjustments according to the environment of the process. For solving the above problem, we apply fuzzy control to the tension system, in order to produce a uniform roll. For the performance test, the fuzzy controller does not need to revise the parameters. Therefore the fuzzy controller exhibits an excellent additivity for the tension system where the system is changed with time.
버스군(群) 분리특성(分離特性)과 교차로(交叉路) 지체분석(遲滯分析)

교차로 정지선을 출발한 차량군(車輛群)은 도로를 주행하는 동안 분산되며, 교차로의 지체시간은 분산된 교통류의 정지선 도착분포(到着分布)에 의해 결정된다. 본 연구는 여행시간분포조사(旅行時間分布調査)를 통하여 우리나라 차량군(車輛群)의 분산특성, 특히 승용차와 버스의 차량군(車輛群) 분리현상에 관하여 조사하였다. 그리고, 이러한 조사결과를 토대로 버스군(群)의 분리특성을 감안한 교차로 지체시간의 정확한 분석방법을 제시하였다. Vehicle platoons starting a stopline are dispersed while travelling along the street and the delay at the next intersection depends on the arrival pattern of dispersed traffic flow. In this paper, the platoon dispersion charactiristics of our country, especially the time gap between passenger cars and buses caused by the dwell time at bus stops, were investigated through travel time surveys. Based on the survey results, on improved analysis method of intersection delay is proposed.

Recently the international crude oil price has nearly reached at 150$ per barrel, and the energy-saving in the transportation field has become an urgent problem in our country. And the global climate change and the need to reduce the green house gas has become one of the most important issues in the international society. The purpose of this study is to suggest a new vision and objective of the transportation policy for the 4th local government of Gyeonggi Province. The summary of the new vision and objective of the transportation policy proposed in this study is the development of the energy-saving, sustainable and safe transportation system. The new name of the regional development policy according to this vision and objective is called the ESSD(Energy-saving, Sustainable, and Safe Development) in this paper, and the ESSD should be the new direction of the transportation policy. The new transportation vision and objective proposed in this study will be expected to show the new transportation policy direction in the future in our country.
택시 영상DB를 활용한 교통약자 보행자 사고의 심각도 분석

This study proposes severity analysis for pedestrian accidents by improving variables which were used for general severity analysis. The existing variables were collected based on the interviews with policeman or witnesses and evidence of accidents. Therefore, existing variables were subjective and had several measurement errors. In order to improve such problems, this study collected variables from vehicle recorder of taxi which recorded the moment of accidents. As a result, explanatory power of independent variables was enhanced and the complete objective variables could be collected. After collecting variables, ordered pro bit model was developed by utilizing vehicle recorder database. Fitness of ordered pro bit model was 0.23. Vehicle speed and pedestrian’s eye direction variables were the most critical factors for severity of pedestrian accident. In addition, severity analysis for vulnerable pedestrian was carried out. As a result, it was revealed that vehicle speed, pedestrian’s eye direction and safety zone variables affected the severity of pedestrian accidents most. Particularly, vehicle speed variable is the most important factor. Consequently, driver’s defensive driving and compliance to the regulations are the priority to reduce severity of pedestrian accidents and prevent pedestrian accident.
Z-Wave Mesh Network 방식을 이용한 홈네트워크용 통합 디밍스위치의 구현

본 논문에서 개발한 Z-Wave Mesh Network 방식을 이용한 홈네트워크 통합 디밍스위치는 현재 홈 네트워크 기술이 적용된 아파트를 대상으로 설치가 되고 있는 네트워크 방식의 스위치로써, 조명스위치 사용에 대한 시공자 설비의 편의성, 사용자의 조작 편의성 제공과 동체감지센서 및 광세기 검출센서를 이용한 조명의 효율적 제어를 통한 전력절감 효과가 기대되는 유무선 네트워크가 가능한 지능형 통합디밍 조명스위치이다. 본 논문에서 개발한 통합 디밍스위치의 유용성을 평가하기 위하여 실험시스템을 구현하였고, 부하성능 평가, 조명제어, 통신속도 면에서 우수한 성능을 보였다. In this paper, we proposed a home network integrated dimmer switch using Z-wave Mesh Network. The dimmer switch come with wired and wireless network-based intelligent lighting switch that can be installed in a apartments with home network technologies. This switch is ease to install and operate. Furthermore, it provide power saving through efficient control of light using motion detect sensor and light intensity sensor. In order to evaluate the performance of our developed home network integrated dimmer switch, we performed a load performance test and from our result, it showed excellent performance in terms of lighting control and communication speed.
Smart Bollard를 이용한 어린이보호구역에서의 안전성 제고에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 어린이보호구역에서 교통안전의 증진을 위하여 상류부에 접근하는 차량의 감속과 어린이보호구역 내에 위치한 횡단보도에서 발생하는 차대사람 간의 교통사고를 최소화하기 위하여 물리적인 보차분리가 가능한 구동식 bollard, 즉 smart bollard를 제안하고 설치와 운영에 요구되는 조건들을 교통공학적인 측면에서 이해하고 그 제원을 제시하였다. 미시적 시뮬레이션 모델을 통해 제안된 smart bollard를 평가해본 결과, 설치 전과 비교하여 구간 평균통행속도와 통과교통량의 감소효과를 보여 어린이보호구역 교통안전의 증진에 효과가 있음을 보였다. 또한 구간 평균통행속도와 통과교통량을 효과적으로 줄여줄 수 있는 가장 결정적인 파라미터는 smart bollard 사전 경보등의 설치에 관여하는 황색신호시간의 길이와 smart bollard의 구동시간으로서 각각 5~6초와 2~3초가 적합한 값으로 판명되었다. This paper is aimed to introduce to a moving bollard (i.e., smart bollard) to improve the pedestrian safety along the crosswalk in the school zone as a means to physically separate pedestrians and approaching vehicles, to propose the appropriate criteria for its installation and implementation from the traffic engineering perspective, and to evaluate its effectiveness with the microscopic simulation model. The simulation results indicate that implementing the smart bollard results in the decrease of average approaching speed and traffic throughput and the most critical factors affecting its effectiveness are yellow time of the traffic signal directly associated with the location of the advance warning sign and its operation time, 5~6 seconds and 2~3 seconds, respectively.
