Many researchers revealed that collagen contribute to maintaining the skin’s elasticity and inhibit wrinkling of skin. Korean native cattle (Hanwoo) bone (leg bone, foot and tail) infusion contains the various inorganic materials, collagen and chondroitin sulfate. All of this, a large quantity of collagen is included in Hanwoo infusion. Therefore, this study emphasized on the effects of collagen in the Hanwoo bone infusion. For the first time, Hanwoo bone infusions were directly added to the media of Human Dermal Fibroblast (NHDF-c) to test anti-aging effects. First, it was identified that growth rate of skin fibroblast was increased. Furthermore, the Hanwoo bone infusion increased a 50% of fibroblast collagen synthesis. Also, suppression of skin fibroblast aging was confirmed by treatment Hanwoo bone infusion. In conclusion, this study demonstrates the effects of infusion made from Hanwoo leg bone, foot and tail on anti-aging, wrinkle inhibiting and skin fibroblast elasticity maintaining. Therefore, this study identified that traditional infusion has effects that are good for skin elasticity.

Anti-cancer effects of doenjang extracts are usually studied based on methanol extraction focusing on isoflavones, the principal extracted components. In this syudy, effects of water-soluble extracts of long-term fermented doenjang containing water-soluble low Mw peptides produced by microorganisms were studied. Doenjang extracts had effects which arrested the cell cycle, inhibited proliferation, and caused consequential apoptosis in breast cancer cells. Doenjang water-soluble extracts increased bone density via activation of osteoblast differentiation and suppression of osteoclast differentiation. Effects increased as the fermentation period extended because the doenjang fermentation period influenced extract contents. The value and utility of doenjang as a functional food should be considered.

This study aims to explore the ideological implications embedded in court dance < Choonengjeon > and draw personality education value based on Confucius’main ideas. The findings from this study are summarized as follows: First, < Choonengjeon > is the dance created when Confucian ideas whose core was the concept of filial piety were prevalent and the filial piety culture political ideas based on Prince Hyomyeong’s extreme filial piety are reflected in it. Accordingly, it could be found that < Choonengjeon > contained considerable filial piety culture educational elements. Second, < Choonengjeon > revealing dance styles through landscapes and images of natural objects contains‘onyudonhu’among‘poetic ideas’provided by Confucius. The poetic expressions of contents and dance styles in < Choonengjeon > makes one accompany human nature and emotion, which suggests that they contain Confucius’poetic personality education spirits. Third, < Choonengjeon > is the dance with formality and courtesy following the court order and custom according to the established rules and forms of votive offering. The dance music of behaving with decency and exercising due courtesy suggested that the spirits of etiquette music were embedded in it. The abstained composition and movement based on the provision and order of nature suggested the aspects of ethical personalty education that could form the basis for social ethical standards and moral conduct practices.
$I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$-SR 유전자이입이 Cisplatin, Paclitaxel에 대한 폐암세포주의 감수성에 미치는 영향

연구배경 : 종양 세포들이 항암제에 대하여 저항을 나타내는 기전인 'apoptosis에 대한 저항'에 NF-${\kappa}B$의 활성이 중요한 역할을 하리라 생각되고 있다. 즉, NF-${\kappa}B$가 종양세포의 apoptosis를 억제하는 작용을 일으킴으로써 종양 세포의 생존에 유리하게 작용하고 있음이 제시되 고 있다. 방 법 : 본 연구에서는 비소세포폐암에 대한 항암 치료의 내성에 대하여 외부 자극으로 분해되지 않는 $I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$-SR의 삽입으로 NF-${\kappa}B$의 활성을 억제시키고 이로 인해 항암제에 대한 폐암세포주의 감수성이 증가하는지 여부를 밝혀 보고자 하였다. 결 과 : 비소세포폐암 세포주로 NCI H157, NCI H460 세포주를 이용하였고, Ad-$I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$-SR를 transduction 한 후 cisplatin을 처치한 군에서 NF-${\kappa}B$의 핵 내로의 이동이 억제되었으며 대조군과 비교시 $IC_{50}$이 2-3배 정도 유의하게 낮아짐을 관찰하였다. 또한 paclitaxel의 경우에도 Ad-$I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$-SR로 감염된 폐암세포주는 대조군과 비교시 IC50이 2배 정도 유의하게 낮아짐을 관찰하였다. 이러한 항암제에 대한 감수성의 증가의 기전으로 cisplatin의 경우는 $I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$-SR의 이입이 NF-${\kappa}B$의 활성을 억제 함으로 인한 apoptosis의 증대 때문인 것으로보인다. 결 론 : 폐암세포주에서 Ad-$I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$-SR transduction은 Clsplatin, paclitaxel에 대한 폐암세포주의 감수성을 증가시킴으로 앞으로 폐암을 치료하는데 있어 새로운 치료 방법이 될 수 있을 것으로 보인다. Background : Some chemotherapeutic drugs induce NF-${\kappa}B$ activation by degrading the $I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$ protein in cancer cells which contributes to anticancer drug resistance. We hypothesized that inhibiting $I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$ degradation would block NF-${\kappa}B$ activation and result in increased tumor cell mortality in response to chemotherapy. Methods : The "superrepressor" form of the NF-${\kappa}B$ inhibitor was transferred by an adenoviral vector (Ad-$I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$-SR) to the human lung cancer cell lines (NCI H157 and NCI H460). With a MIT assay, the level of sensitization to cisplatin and paclitaxel were measured. To confirm the mechanism, an EMSA and Annexin V assay were performed. Results : EMSA showed that $I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$-SR effectively blocked the NF-${\kappa}B$ activation induced by cisplatin. Transduction with Ad-$I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$-SR resulted in an increased sensitivity of the lung cancer cell lines to cisplatin and paclitaxel by a factor of 2~3 in terms of $IC_{50}$. Annexin-V analysis suggests that this increment in chemosensitivity to cisplatin probably occurs through the induction of apoptosis. Conclusion : The blockade of chemotherapeutics induced NF-${\kappa}B$ activation by inducing Ad-$I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$-SR, increased apoptosis and increasing the chemosensitivity of the lung cancer cell lines tested, subsequently. Gene transfer of $I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$-SR appears to be a new therapeutic strategy of chemosensitization in lung cancer.
