한국수어 사용자를 위한 수어 해설 애플리케이션의 효과: 공공 박물관 전시 사례 연구

본 연구는 농인들의 박물관 관람을 촉진하기 위해 제작된 수어 해설 애플리케이션의 사용성을 평가하고, 애플리케이션의 사용이 사용자의 박물관 관람 만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 애플리케이션을 사용하여 공공 박물관의 전시 유물을 관람한 농인들을 대상으로 한 설문조사 결과, 참가자들은 애플리케이션의 사용성을 매우 높게 평가하였으며, 애플리케이션의 도움 없이 동일한 전시를 관람한 농인들에 비해 박물관 관람 경험에 더 높은 만족도를 보였다. 또한 애플리케이션의 사용성을 더 높게 평가한 참가자일수록 박물관 관람에 더 만족한 것으로 나타났다. 수어 해설 애플리케이션이 농인들의 박물관 관람에 긍정적인 영향을 주었음을 보여주는 결과이며, 이 애플리케이션의 현재 부족한 점을 개선한다면 앞으로 농인들의 문화 향유권 증진에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

한국수어 사용 농인의 문화재 설명문 이해도에 관한 탐색적 연구

This study examined the comprehension of museum guide in Korean Sign Language (KSL) for cultural heritage exhibitions by Korean signers and explored language-related factors that influence their comprehension. To this end, a database of cultural heritage descriptions from national museums were created and translated into KSL, and sign guide videos were recorded. Forty-four adult deaf signers participated in a comprehensibility rating task, in which they were asked to rate the comprehensiblity of each sentence on a 7-point scale and respond to True/False comprehension questions about the guides. Results indicate that the participants' comprehensibility ratings were 5.3 on average, which is higher than the midpoint of the scale. However, there was a large variation both in individual participants' mean comprehensibility ratings and in their mean response accuracy to the True/False questions. In addition, individual participants' mean comprehensibility ratings were significantly correlated with their age of KSL acquisition, age of initial KSL use, and receptive proficiency in KSL. These findings indicate that a number of signers would have difficulty visiting and appreciating museum exhibitions and suggest that a psycholinguistic approach must be taken to improve museum guide in KSL for better comprehensibility. 본 연구는 농인들이 수어로 표현된 박물관 전시물에 대한 해설문을 얼마나 잘 이해하는지를 알아보고, 이러한 이해도가 농인들이 언어 배경 특성에 따라 어떻게 달라지는지를 탐색적으로 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 실제 국립박물관에서 사용되는 설명문과 새로이 제작된 설명문을 수어로 번역하여 영상을 제작하였다. 농인 참가자들은 수어 영상을 보고 각 문장이 얼마나 이해하기 쉬운지를 7점 척도상에 평정하고, 그 문장이 설명하는 문화재에 대한 참/거짓 문제에 응답하였다. 실험 결과 참가자들의 평균 문장 이해도는 보통 이상이었지만, 각 참가자들의 문장 이해도와 참/거짓 문제에 대한 응답 정확도는 낮은 점수에서 높은 점수까지 넓게 분포되어 있었다. 또한 참가자 개개인의 문장 이해도는 그들의 수어 습득 나이, 수어 사용 나이, 수어의 수용적 유창성과 유의한 상관이 있었다. 이러한 결과는 많은 농인들이 박물관을 관람하며 전시 내용을 이해하는 데에 어려움을 겪고 있음을 의미하며, 언어심리학적 접근을 통해 청각장애인과 농인들이 보고 이해하기 쉬운 수어 해설문을 제작할 필요성을 시사한다.

Perception of English Focus in Yes-No Questions by Korean EFL Learners

This paper aims to investigate Korean EFL learners’ understanding of English sentence-level focus. The experiment provided students with yes-no questions with either sentence-initial, medial, or final focus, and they were asked to choose the most appropriate answer to each question. The results showed that the Korean students’ scores from the test were considerably low compared to those of native speakers. Among the three positions, the students found sentence-medial and final focus relatively easy to perceive than sentence-initial focus. Also, when the scores were compared to their scores from the Nationwide English Listening Comprehension Test, it was revealed that there is no correlation between their ability to perceive focus and their overall listening ability.

마음인문학의 과제와 전자문화지도

마음인문학에서의 공유(共有, sharing)의 의미는 웹2.0 시대에 개인과 개인 사이의 사회적 관계를 뜻하는 것으로, 특정 관계를 가지고 있는 사람들 간에 존재하는 연결선을 말한다. 즉 마음인문학의 지식자원을 사람들 간에 연결할 수 있도록 하는 매체를 연구하고 실현하는 연구이다. 본 연구에서는 마음인문학 공유분과의 과제와 전망을 통해 마음인문학이 인류 정신문명의 새로운 패러다임을 전개하는 학문으로 성장 발전하고 개인뿐만 아니라 세계인들이 마음인문학의 심층적 연구 성과를 공유하고 활용할 수 있도록 하는데 있다. 즉, 새로운 조화의 정신문명을 창출하기 위해 마음인문학의 공유분과에서 10년 동안 어떻게 연구할 것인지를 단계적으로 제시하고자 한다. 첫째로는 마음인문학 콘텐츠 기반 구축이다. 마음인문학 콘텐츠 자료의 기반 구축으로 이론과 실천의 균형 있는 결합을 통해 마음인문학 콘텐츠 개발의 핵심적 가치를 이끌 것이다. 둘째로는 마음인문학 전자문화지도의 제작 및 적용이다. 새로운 공유 패러다임으로서의 마음인문학, 나아가 마음인문학의 그 변화와 인식 속에서 어떻게 자리매김할 수 있을지, 그리고 궁극적으로는 우리의 시도가 위기에 빠진 인문학의 실용적 대안 모델 가운데 하나가 될 수 있는지를 모색하기 위하여 연구를 진행할 것이다. 셋째로는 마음인문학 전자문화지도 확충 및 유통이다. 마음인문학 전자문화지도를 전문분류체계에 따라 구축해 시간과 공간을 뛰어넘어 살아 숨 쉬는 정보이자 생활문화로 만들어 가는 것이다. 이를 위해 공유분과에서는 마음인문학 디지털 지식자원 구축을 활성화하고 더 나아가 상품으로써 생산, 유통 및 소비될 수 있도록 마음인문학 디지털 지식자원이 다른 디지털 지식자원과 차별되는 정체성을 지니도록 하여야 한다. The Mind Humanities ‘sharing’ is defined as a networking line of group members who share specific goals. It also means social relationships among individuals in the era of web 2.0. In other words, it is considered as a study which enables social members to connect or share knowledge resources of the Mind Humanities. This research aims to develop the Mind Humanities to be a human science presenting a new paradigm of spiritual civilization of mankind through studying issues and prospect of the Mind Humanities sharing. First, this study will draw a core value of the Mind Humanities by combining their theory and practice in building contents of the Mind Humanities. Second, it focuses on producing and adapting electronic cultural atlas of the Mind Humanities, which is thought to find out the change and awareness of a new paradigm of the Mind Humanities sharing and explore a practical alternative model of endangered humanities. Third, it centers on the development and distribution of electronic cultural atlas of the Mind Humanities, which can enhance the quality of daily life beyond time and space. The ‘sharing’ department of the Mind Humanities will try to make built digital knowledge resources be unique products which are produced, circulated and consumed, and bear their unique identity different from other digital knowledge resources.

궤도차량 변속오류 원인분석 및 재발방지

군용 궤도차량 일부 장비에서 변속기 제어기 배선장치조립체 커넥터의 누유 발생 후 차체 케이블조립체 커넥터 오염 및 절연 인서트(고무재질) 변형(부풀음) 발생과 일부 장비에서 변속오류가 발생하는 현상이 발생하여 원인분석 및 재발방지 대책을 모색해 보았다. 변속오류가 발생한 장비에 대해서 해당부대에서 기술시험을 실시한 결과, 변속기 배선장치조립체 소켓몸체와 몰딩접f부 이탈, 누유 확인 및 차체-변속기 연결 케이블 점검 시 간헐적 접f불량 발생이 확인되었다. 변속오류 재현을 위해 전기적 신호의 인위적 단선 후 변속기 작동상태 점검 모사시험을 실시하였는데 솔레노이드에 전달되는 전기적 신호가 단자의 접f불량 발생 시 직전의 스풀 위치에 따라 비정상 작동(변속오류) 발생 가능성이 있음을 확인하였다. 아울러, 장비운행 조건에서 누유 발생 시 전기적 신호오류 발생 여부 확인을 위해서 차체-변속기 케이블조립체를 사용유에 침적 후 도통·절연 등 전기특성시험을 실시하였으며, 커넥터 고무부품 및 변속기 오일에 대한 시험분석도 실시하였다. 원인분석 결과를 종합적으로 정리하면, 변속기 배선장치조립체 커넥터 밀봉재(Potting) 손상에 따른 누유 발생 후 차체 케이블조립체 커넥터 절연 인서트 오염 및 팽윤(Swelling)에 의한 돌출 변형을 야기하여 체결 상태의 차체-변속기 케이블조립체 커넥터의 전기적 접f불량 발생과 이에 따른 일부 장비의 변속오류 발생이 가능할 것으로 추정되었다. 원인분석 결과를 바탕으로 향후 재발방지를 위해 변속기 배선장치조립체 커넥터에 백쉘(Backshell) 추가 및 내부에 실리콘 도포를 추가하는 등 커넥터 구조개선을 실시하였으며, 누기시험을 실시하여 변속기 배선장치조립체에 대한 품질관리 강화를 도모하였다. 아울러, 예방정비 시 누유 여부 및 절연 인서트의 비정상적인 부풀음(팽윤) 발생 여부를 확인하는 절차를 기술교범에 추가하여 향후 발생할 수 있는 유사 사례를 예방할 수 있도록 하였다.

구조방정식 모델을 이용한 디지털교과서의 학습동기 및 학업성과 영향요인에 관한 연구

In this study it is aimed to find out the relationship between the effective factors on learning motivation of the digital textbook. To carry on such exploration the learning motivation theory of Keller has been taken as the theoretical background. This is an experimental research with the data collected from 310 students who took the digital textbook class in the computer-mediated environment. It is compared and verified whether the factors causing learning motivation of the ARCS model embedded in the offline class influence on learner's motivation and achievement. With the outcomes, it has been tried to find out some practical suggestions for the achievement of the digital textbook. The results of the data show that the learning motivation of the digital textbook is significantly influence on the learning achievement.
