Coffee was always there at the inflection points of the modern Western civilization, including the Enlightenment and the French Revolution in the 17th and 18th centuries. When the Enlightenment was spread worldwide in the 17th century claiming liberal communication of ideologies and opinions is one of the most important human rights, coffee was patronized by intellectuals as a beverage to enhance the thinking ability. Like other parts of Europe, Russia turned into a powerful nation by accepting coffee in the same period. From the reformation driven by Peter the Great to disseminating playacting and ballet by Empress Anna Ioannovna and the modernization by Catherine II, the enlightened ruler, all reforms carried out by famous Russian emperors were accompanied by coffee. The purpose of this study is to describe the origin of coffee in Russia, propagation, political and social influence of coffee on the modern history of Russia, and the ‘image’ of coffee while focusing on the modern history between the 16th and 19th centuries, the time in contemporary Russian history that had been less highlighted.

사람들은 상품에 대한 선호 결정과 가치 평가를 위해 제품을 직접 만져보기를 원한다. 일반적으로 사람들은 경험되는 햅틱 경험이 제품의 속성에 의해이루어지고 있음을 가정하고, 계획적으로 선호와 판단의 근거로 사용한다. 하지만 경험되는 햅틱 경험이 제품의 속성에 의해 이루어지지 않았음에도, 즉 비계획적인 햅틱 경험이 제품의 선호와 가치 평가에 영향을 줄 수 있음을 시사하는 연구가 제안되고 있다 (Ackerman, Nocera, & Bargh, 2010). 본 연구는 이러한 비계획적/우연적 햅틱 경험이 (1) 사용자의 인지적 경향성을 변화시키는지 (2) 햅틱 경험의 원인에 대한 오귀인을 일으키는지, 두가설을 제안하고 경험적으로 검증하였다. 실험 참여자는 태블릿 컴퓨터 화면에 제시되는 상품을 보고 부드러운 소재의 제품군과 딱딱한 소재의 제품군의 최대 지불 용이 가격을 책정하였다. 실험 결과 비계획적 햅틱 경험은 사용자의 인지적 경향성을 변화시킴으로서 상품의 가치 평가에 영향을 주었다. 모바일 디바이스의 커버, 오프라인 커머스 환경에서 제품의 포장재, 판 촉물, 메뉴판 등 사용자들과 직접적으로 접촉하는 다양한 상황에서 발생하는 비계획적 햅틱 경험의 활용가능성을 논의하였다. People often use haptic experience as a basis for their preference decisions and value judgments, assuming that haptic experience with a product results from the properties of the products. However, research has suggested that unplanned haptic experience, which does not arise from the properties of the product itself, can also influence people’s preference and value evaluation (Ackerman, Nocera, & Bargh, 2010). In this study, in order to verify (1) if such unplanned or accidental haptic experience changes user’s cognitive tendency and (2) if accidental haptic experience leads to misattribution of the cause of haptic experience, two hypotheses were suggested and empirically investigated. Participants of the experiment were exposed to certain products on a display of a tablet PC and asked to decide on the maximum price they were willing to pay for each product. The products displayed on the screen were made up of either soft material or hard material. Results of the experiment revealed that accidental haptic experience had an effect on participants’ value evaluation of products via altering their cognitive inclinations. Possible applicability of accidental haptic experiences that occur in various situations were discussed.

In this lengthy review, we would like to introduce John Berger(1926∼2017) and his various intellectual-critical works as an independent writer and a public intellectual. He was one of the most influential critics and respected writers of our time. Expecially his much creative, compassionate, and willed writings come to epitomize the very best of committed storytelling that would put enormous efforts and impassioned energy as well as keen observations on the various types of social sufferings and crucial political matters. In doing so, Berger has solidified his unique role and international status as a towering and inspiring storyteller whose collective works have tremendously influenced a number of social subjects. By focusing on and exploring his well-known works, especially Ways of Seeing and A Seventh Man, this paper will illuminate his much significant, insightful, and valiant efforts that have formed far-reaching intellectual legacies and resonances across many different generations of people.

간호대학생의 임상실습만족도, 진로탐색효능감, 전공만족도가 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 간호대학생의 임상실습만족도, 진로탐색효능감, 전공만족도가 진로준 비행동에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 시도되었다. 부산 소재 D대학교 간호학과 졸업 학년 학생 115명을 대상으로 2017년 7월 30일부터 8월 3일까지 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 자료분석방법은 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson s 상관관계 분석, 위계적 다중회귀분석을 이용하였다. 연구결과 임상실 습만족도, 진로탐색효능감, 전공만족도, 진로준비행동 간에 유의한 양의 상관관계가 나타났다. 임상실습만족도는 진로준비행동을 19.0% 설명하였으며, 진로탐색효능감은 진로준비행동을 3.0% 설명하였다. 전공만족도는 진로준비행동에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 간호대학생의 진로준비행동의 향상을 위해 임상실습 만족도와 진로탐색효능감을 높이기 위한 다양한 프로그램을 교육과정 내 개설하고 운영하는 것이 필요하다. The aim of this study is to determine impact of clinical practice satisfaction, career search efficacy, and major satisfaction on career preparation behavior in nursing students. Data were collected from structured questionnaires from July 30 to August 3, 2017 for 115 graduate students in the Department of Nursing at D University in Busan. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson s correlation analysis, and hierarchical multiple regression, conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics 24. According to the results of the study, clinical practice satisfaction, career search efficacy, major satisfaction, and career preparation behavior showed a significant positive correlation. Clinical practice satisfaction independently accounted for 19.0% of career preparation behavior, and career search efficacy independently accounted for 3.0% of career preparation behavior. Major satisfaction didn’t affect career preparation behavior. Therefore, it is necessary to establish and operate programs in the curriculum to improve the clinical practice satisfaction and career search efficacy in order to improve career preparation behavior of nursing students.

‘헬조선 현상’의 특징과 함의를 분석하기

이 연구는 지난 몇 년간 한국사회에서 상당한 관심과 조명을 받고 있는 ‘헬조선’ 현상을 진단한다. 특히 이 작업은 정파성을 달리하는 주요 언론들 속에 제시된 헬조선 관련 기사와 기고문, 그리고 특집을 텍스트 분석으로 진단하면서, 이 매우 복합적인 현상의 재현적인 측면의 함의와 명암을 다면적으로 탐구하고자 한다. 헬조선으로 지칭되는 특정한 문제의식과 감정의 생산이 현재 청년층이 대면하는 매우 심각하고 불안한 사회경제적인 현실 속에서 부상했다는 맥락성을 고려할 때, 이러한 문제의식과 방향성을 탐구하는 연구가 일정한 지적·비판적인 기여를 할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. This work critically explores the so-called “Hell-Chosun” phenomenon which has gained much attention and responses in contemporary South Korea. The younger generation came to coin and utilize this new linguistic expression as well as poignant parody as a way of releasing their anger, cynicism, and frustration in the context of the omnipresent fierce competitions, deepening social instability, and job-related shrinking possibilities. The ‘Hell-Chosun’ phenomenon can be considered as a much complicated manifestation of the structures of feeling for the part of many younger generation South Koreans. This paper especially examines the varying representation of this phenomenon by established dailies through an in-depth textual analysis of newspaper articles, opinion pieces and reviews, as well as special issues. In doing so, this work examines the multiple implications of this particular socio-cultural phenomenon in a detailed and critical fashion.
