The purpose of this study was: 1) To provide consumers with an idea about readytowear garments for teenagers by making them understood on the market's real situation. 2) To provide producers with an idea about manufacturing readytowear clothes for teenagers by making them understood on the problems the market has now. The data for this study were collected through market survey of 3 groups according to price and through questionnaire survey of 166 middleschool girls and 204 highschool girls in Seoul. The period for survey was from March to October, 1984. The findings from this research were: 1. Inspite of lackness of design variety at the market, teenage girls showed interests in various designs for their readytowear clothing. 2. Consumers preferred design when purchasing their garments to price, color and activity. 3. Teenage girls were interested not only in fashion but in functionality and neatness of clothing. 4. The problems for teenager's readytowear clothing revealed from market survey involed limited design variety, unproper price and lack of good quality.
