The Tokebi is a traditional Korean folk creature of fancy. it is usually regarded resemblance of goblin. In Korea, the Tokebi is an very well known word. It is within bounds to say that every Korean knows meaning of the word, and has an arbitrary understanding about the alien substances, from children, who have ability of communication, to their seniors. It is interesting that no one can depict the creature completely, though it is known to all Korean. And also there is no exact definition of it yet. Tokebi is not created by a single person or a group, the character of it has been changed frequently by the people in the passage of time. Therefore, it is hard to grasp the origin of Tokebi for us, who live in 21st century. But still there is need of academic efforts to examine the origin and clear definition of Tokebi, because it is one of very important elements of the traditional Korean culture. Fortunately there are many hypotheses about the origin of Tokebi, but each of them also has a clear limitation. The purpose of this paper is to explain the origin of Tokebi from a new point of view, which is based on folk tales, shaman songs and folkloric beliefs. There are a few folk tales about the Golden Boar, and those could be considered as the original form of all Tokebi tales. There are many points of resemblance between them, especially the core elements of the stories. The ancient boar religion was created, when cultivation culture was established. Then it lost the sanctity as the medieval times came, and it became an alien creature of fear. I will try to explain that process, and present basis of this new hypothesis, which presume that the Tokebi primarily meant Boar man in ancient Korea.

We studied the navigation ability and visual functioning of patients with MCI in Virtual Environments (VEs). Forty nineparticipants consisted of elderly adults with/without MCI. Neuropsychological tests (RCFT, BVRT, TMT, and Digit Span), the Groton Maze Learning Test (12 trials), and the VE navigation learning task (6 trials) were performed. As a result, there were significant group differences for the immediate-recall RCFT, the delayed-recall RCFT, and the BVRT, but not for the GMLT. For the VE task, there was a significant difference between the MCI and normal group, and no interactions between groups and trials were found. The VE task was correlated with the RCFT, the BVRT, and the GMLT. The RCFT and the BVRT combined accounted for 45% of VE performance. Thus, we concluded that patients with MCI are inferior in VE navigation, and that visual retention/memory play a role in navigation abilities.
대학생의 비판적 사고성향과 비판적 사고기능의 관계 및 개인특성에 따른 집단별 일반화 가능성 분석

Purpose: This study was to analyze the relationships of critical thinking skills and disposition to think critically of college students. In addition, this study tried to determine whether there are differences depending on the students characteristics. Method: The sample was 231 students from A universities who were participated in both diagnoses. To solve the research problems, this study employed confirmatory factor analysis and multiple group analysis. Results: The result did not show statistically significant relationship between critical thinking skills and disposition of college students. Additionally, these relationships can be generalized by students characteristics. However, relationships of some of the sub constructs in 4 grade were statistically significant. Conclusion: The relationship of the sub constructs by critical thinking skills and disposition may result in the adjustment effects of the school year. Therefore, school year should be considered when developing a program that can be promoted both the critical thinking skills and disposition of college students. 연구목적: 연구는 대학생의 비판적 사고성향과 비판적 사고기능 간의 관계를 검증하고 이들 간의 관계가 선행연구를 통해 영향요인으로 알려진 개인특성(성별, 학년, 전공계열, 학업성취)에 따라 차이가 있는지를 분석하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 두 가지 연구문제를 설정하여 수도권 대규모 사립대학인 A 대학에 재학 중인 2~4학년 학생들을 대상으로 A 대학에서 자체 개발된 비판적 사고성향 검사를 실시하였고, 사고기능을 측정하기 위해 K-CESA의 종합적 사고력 검사를 실시하였다. 최종 분석 대상은 231명이었다. 연구문제 해결을 위해 사고성향 검사의 양호도 검증, 사고성향과 사고기능 간의 관계 분석을 위해 확인적 요인분석과 측정모델에 대한 다중집단분석(multiple group analysis)을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 비판적 사고성향과 비판적 사고기능 간에는 유의미한 관계가 발견되지 않았고 이러한 관계가 일반화되는 것으로 분석되었다. 다만, 4학년 타당화표본에서만 두 잠재변인의 일부 하위 구성 개념 간의 관계가 유의미한 것으로 도출되었다. 논의 및 결론: 비판적 사고성향과 비판적 사고기능의 구성개념 간 관계는 학년에 따른 조절효과가 나타날 수 있다는 점에서 사고성향과 사고기능을 함께 개발시키기 위한 교육프로그램 구성 과정에서 학년은 반드시 고려되어야 할 것으로 보인다.
