The mechanical properties of deinked mixed office waste paper in relation to sorts and dosage of enzymes were investigated for successful enzymatic deinking of mixed office waste paper. The increasing of $\Delta$. freeness was most predominant in pulp of Denimax treated pulp. The tensile and burst properties are decreased with enzyme dosage while $\Delta$. freeness were increased. The fine content in disintegrated pulp was decreased with enzyme dosage of $0.4\%$ on the dried weight of paper. The water absorption of handsheets of enzyme deinked pulp was like as that of market roll tissue papers and the mechanical properties of handsheets of enzyme deinked pulp were improved with enzyme treatment comparing of market roll tissue papers.

Enzymatic pulping properties of mixed office waste paper in standard disintegrator were investigated for successful enzymatic deinking of mixed office waste paper. Enzymatic pulping need more revolution in standard disintegrator than alkaline pulping and Cellusoft need more revolution than Denimax. The freeness of disintegrated pulp with enzyme was higher than those of disintegrated pulps with alkaline and heat killed enzyme. The freeness of disintegrated pulp with Denimax was higher than that of disintegrated pulp with Cellusoft. The freeness of disintegrated pulps were increased with a dosage of enzymes. The mechanical properties of disintegrated pulp were improved with enzyme addition comparing with heat killed enzyme. The tensile and burst index of hand sheet of disintegrated pulps with acidic Cellusoft were higher than that of others.

It is very difficult to compare directly the research results of enzymatic process in pulp and paper industry because commercial enzymes have diversity in its property. The chemical and biological properties of commercial enzymes were Investigated to help comparison of various commercial enzymes each other. In most case, the solid content of liquid enzymes was about 20%. The higher protein content in enzyme product does not mean the higher enzyme activity. Enzymes for paper process should selected by basis of enzyme activity, not by price of enzyme products. The chemical composition of fiber was not so much change with enzyme treatment. The enzymatic hydrolysis of fiber might negligible in paper process.
Cation基의 분포가 다른 Cationic Polyacrylamides(C-PAM)의 펄프에의 흡착성 : 흡착시간의 영향에 대하여

The adsorption of two cationic polyacrylamides (C-PAM), with similar molecular weights (MW) 5.3·10^5 and 5.1·10^5 and charge density (CD) 1.19 and 1.25 meq/g but with different distribution of cationic groups respectively has been studied. There are two kinds of substrates ; one is cellulose fiber without fine fraction, and the other is cellulose fibers with fine fraction. At the stirring speed used, the adsorption of these C-PAMs onto cellulose fibers was rapid regadless of cationic distribution, and the adsorption amount of C-PAM with homogeneous cationic distribution was a little greater than that with heterogeneous cationic distribution. This small difference is probably due to the existence of irregularities on the surface of cellulose fibers and the greater diffusion of the C-PAM with homogeneous cationic distribution. That only a small difference is observed is due primarily to the strong attraction between opposite charges. The adsorbed amounts of C-PAM gradually increased both for cellulose fibers, most rapidly for Cellulose fibers with fine fraction and most slowly for Cellulose fibers without fine fraction. These results can be attributed to the porous nature of the cellulose fibers and the adsorption area of the fine fraction.

The embossing treatment of raw paper was very effective for seed attachment and retention of chemical. And also, It did not show ant trouble in the penetration o young root through embossing paper.The newly developed seed paper on this project can the problem of Korea crop cultivation like as un-regulation of seeding which obstruct the automatization and mass-production of young plant.

The Flavonoids of the bark Ectractives from Pinus koraiensis grown in Mt. Jiri were analysed. in this study. Dihydroquercetin(DHQ) was isolated from analysed diethyl ether soluble fraction in the EtOH(95%) extractives from the bark of Pinus koraiensis. 1) Diethyl ether soluble fraction content in the EtOH(95) extractive from the bark of Pinus koraiensis was 14.0%. 2) Development Standard of dihydroquercetin, H and I group among fraction of liquid chromatography were separated a section Rf value 0.4 by TLC. 3) The dried sample was tested by UV spectroscopy. Maximum peak of DHQ in methanol removed 289 nm to 292 nm in methanol mixed with 1N NaOH solution. It was identified to be phenolic compound having aromatic ring. Typical peak of monomer appeared at 1600 and 1800 cm. 4) R values in phenolic compound and hydroxyl appeared 3436 to 3200 cm and aromatic R value was at 1476 cm. It was identified to be phenolic compound having aromatic ring. Typical peak of monomer appeared at 1600 and 1800 cm. 5) The typical hydrogen bonding signal of DHQ by Proton NMR showed at 11.70 ppm between the OH-5 and 4-C=O. The H-6 and the H-8 on the A ring showed at 6.01 and 5.94 ppm, to be double doublet. Each signal due to the three aromatic protons of the B ring appeared at 7.54 and 7.42 ppm to doublet H-5' : at 7.25 and 7.12 ppm to be doublet H-6' : at 6.96 and 6.86 ppm to be double doublet H-2' on the NMR Spectrum. Downfield removed to meta position between the H-2' and H-6'.

Cellulolytic enzymes were prepared from alkaline resistant microorganisms which were newly screened from calcic soil. Characteristics of enzymes and enzymatic deinking efficiency of wastepaper were investigated. The results were summarized as fellows: 1. The recovery rate of crude enzyme was 93.7% in Bio-B and 57.4% in Bio-F. 2. The protein content in crude enzymes was lowest and the thermal stability of crude enzymes was highest in Bio-F. 3. The brightness gain of Bio-F deinked pulp was best in ONP and Bio-B deinked pulp was best in MOW. 4. The reject yield was increased with enzymatic deinking flotation process. 5. The residual ink area of paper was increased with enzymatic deinking and large size of ink particles were remained in paper.

느릅나무 근피의 메탄올 추출물을 분획하여 항균성을 측정한 결과 항균성을 측정한 결과 항균력이 가장 우수한 수용성 분획을 silicagel column chromatograpy 및 TLC에 의해 분리·정제한 다음 정제 화합물을 UV, IR, ^H-NMR, ^13C-NMR를 사용하여 구조를 동정하고 그 화합물의 항균력을 검정하였다. 수용성 분획물로부터 두 종류의 정제 화합물을 단리하였다. 기기분석 결과, 화합물 B는 Catechin rhamnoside로 확인되었다. 단리된 정제화합물은 Staphylococcus aureus 및 Salmonella typhimurium에 대하여 항균활성을 나타내었다. The methanol extractives from root bark of Ulmus davidiana var japonica nakai were fractionated with n-hexane, ethyl ether, ethyl acetate and waster, the water soluble fraction was also fractionated with silicagel column chromatograhy. The chemical structure of purifided compounds were indentified with UV, IR, ^1H-NMR and ^13C-NMR spectra and the antibacterial activities also were investigated. Two different antibacterial compounds(compound A and B) were fractionated with silcagel chromatography and TLC. Compounds B was identified as a catechin rehmnoside. The both of compounds had antibacterial activity on Stapbylococcus aureus and Salmonella typbimurium.
