This cases has been misdiagnosed as an idiopathic epilepsy, thus appropriate teatment has not: been not been given, and seizure has not been, succesfully controlled. Since the epileptiform seizure secondary to hypolycemia can easily be misdiagnosed and the、 E. E. G. is not always helpful for differential, diagnosis from idiopathic epilepsy, this case; reminds us that the careful history taking is always essential even in simple epileptic case.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to supply basic data for medical supports of the international games held in Korea and to design adequate plans for medical support systems in the international games. Methods: We analyzed patients who visited the medical facilities during Summer Universiade Daegu 2003. A total of 3,363 individuals used the Athlete’s Village Polyclinic during the Game, but a total of 1,079 cases were treated with traditional oriental medicine and were excluded. Standard charts were available for the 2,248 cases. Data were collected regarding patients’ sex, age, participation role, chief complaint, diagnosis, visits of medical departments, management, and disposition. We classified patients according to acuity scoring criteria (a four-tier triage system), economies, and the data compared. Significant athlete injuries were triaged immediately by physicians stationed at the event scene. Results: In the analysing, we used 2,248 cases, including some repeat visits. There were 987 visits by athletes, 937 visits by officials, 236 visits by staffs, and 88 visits by others. Musculoskeletal diseases were the primary chief complaint. Curiously, the lower income group visited the Polyclinic more often than the high income group. Conclusion: Most Polyclinic staffs were volunteers, providing encouragement and enthusiasm to patients. In this study, patient were contacted with emergency physicianbased medical service. For the future plans of the medical supports for similar events, effective medical plans should be finalized by considering multiple factors.

It is well known that one's nickname represents his characteristics of interpersonal relation, physical make up and his unique character traits. This study was designed to invetigate possible relationship between psychiatric patient's nickname and their psychology. Psychiatric inpatients of 115 were studied and 103 college students were selected as a control group. Some of the significant findings were as follows. 1) In both groups, average number of nickname each patient had was three, ranging from none to 30. 2) Nicknames had been given mostly by peers in both groups. 3) As schizohrenics occupied a large number in patient population, nicknames representing schizoid character was quite common. 4) Though people had reacted their nickname calling with negativistic attitude, as they grew mature, they became more acceptable to it, in both groups. 5) One significant difference in comparing two groups was that patient group reacted to nickname calling with more negativistic attitude than control group, thus patient group tended to avoid such situation where his nickname was to called.

깨끗한 텅스텐 결정면의 일함수와 산소 흡착에 의한 텅스텐 결정면 ((123), (310), (221))의 일함수의 변화를 장전자 방출법으로 측정하였다. 일함수는 Fowler Nordheim equation을 사용하여 계산하였으며 흡착율을 결정할 수 있는 간단한 방법을 제시하였다. Work function for various clean W planes have been measured using a field electron emission method. For the loosely closed packed planes, i.e. (123), (310), (221), we have also measured the changes in the work function due to oxygen adsorption. Fowler Nordheim equation was employed to estimate the change in the work function. An empirical relation between coverage and dose was obtained.
DEVELOPMENT OF THE INNER SPHERICAL CVT FOR A MOTORCYCLE

An Inner Spherical CVT (ISCVT) transfers engine power by utilizing the traction force of the lubricant fluid film on the contact point between concave and convex spherical rolling bodies. Since the concave and the convex contact surfaces of the ISCVT are exactly spherical parts, they have a large circular (not elliptic) contact area, and the ISCVT mechanism has a larger torque capacity, less spin loss, and better stability than other traction drive mechanisms. The IVT (Infinitely Variable Transmission) performances also can easily be embodied in the ISCVT. In this work, we developed a prototype of the ISCVT for a motorcycle with a 125cc single cylinder engine having a maximum torque of 13.73 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The design parameters were determined, and the transmission performances were evaluated by optimal design procedure. The transmission efficiency, the life time, the maximum severe stresses on each part of the ISCVT, and the work needed for varying speed ratio were theoretically investigated, and the efficiency performances were experimentally measured. The manufactured prototype was installed in an actual motorcycle, which was fixed on the test-bench equipped with a dynamometer. The parasitic loss of the prototype and the cross-sectional road load performance were tested. The power efficiency of the simulated prototype was between 87~92%, and the life span was more than 50,000 hours. The tested overall power efficiency was around 70~92% under frequent driving conditions, which is an impressive performance in a motorcycle transmission despite the small difference from the simulation.
The spherical involute bevel gear: its geometry, kinematic behavior and standardization

Bevel gear processing has diversified based on constant technical developments in forging, CNC cutting and hob design. Standardization of bevel gears is in higher demand than ever for different bevel gear systems that have different shapes and forms according to processing methods. With advantages such as excellent compatibility and the ability to absorb assembly errors well, the involute gear is referred to as the spherical involute tooth profile in bevel gear systems. This paper explains the geometrical characteristics and kinematic behavior of spherical involute gears. A spherical involute function is derived to effectively represent tooth profiles, and a common basic rack is developed using the equation of meshing to generate spherical involute gears. This study also analyzes the general characteristics of spherical involute gears and discusses the issue of bevel-gear standardization.
