흰가루병과 도복에 강한 맥주보리 ‘백록’

A new malting barley variety, ‘Baegrok’, was developed in 2016 at the National Institute of Crop Science, RDA: Rural development administration by crossing the high-yield ‘Milyang130’ variety with ‘Myoginijo’, which has lodging tolerance and resistance to barley yellow mosaic virus (BaYMV). ‘Baegrok’ is suitable for use in brewing, similar to ‘Hopum’, and has resistance to powdery mildew and tolerance to lodging. From 2014 to 2016, regional yield trials were conducted in four different regions, with ‘Baegrok’ as a breeding line of ‘Iksan176’. The heading dates of ‘Baegrok’ in paddy and upland fields were April 6 and April 11, respectively, 2 days earlier than those of ‘Hopum’. Maturing dates of ‘Baegrok’ in paddy and upland fields were May 16 and May 21, respectively, similar to those of ‘Hopum’. The yield potential of ‘Baegrok’ was approximately 14% and 6% higher than that of ‘Hopum’ in upland and paddy fields. ‘Baegrok’ had a shorter culm length than ‘Hopum’ showing tolerance to lodging. Screening for powdery mildew resistance in the greenhouse showed that ‘Baegrok’ had resistance to powdery mildew, unlike ‘Hopum’ which was susceptible. It also is suitable for use in brewing, similar to Hopum. ‘Baegrok’ showed good grain quality in terms of β-glucan content (3.4%), starch (61.0%), and husk rate (12.7%). Regarding malt quality, ‘Baegrok’ exhibited 75.1% acrospire length, 70.8% friability, 4.4% soluble protein, and 345.8 WK (Windisch-Kolbach) diastatic power, superior to the malt quality of ‘Hopum’. Thus, ‘Baegrok’ is resistant to powdery mildew, tolerant to lodging, and more suitable for brewing. (Registration No. 8399)

절도범의 범죄 억제력에 관한 연구: 처벌의 확실성과 엄격성을 중심으로

Unlike other countries which tested the empirical researches on deterrence effect, it is hard to find the empirical research of deterrence effect of punishment in Korea. The classical deterrence theory states that three main factors such as severity, certainty and celerity of punishment play an important role to decease future crime. According to the empirical researches of the deterrence theory conducted in other countries, many scholars empathized on the significant role of certainty of the punishment. The purpose of present study is to test a significant factor which deters the criminal behavior of thieves. We collected the survey data from 115 thieves who were detained in four prisons in Korea. Mainly, we tried to measure the classical deterrence theory and informal social control. The survey was included the questions of the severity, certainty, and celerity of punishment, and the informal social control(societal reaction and shame). The result shows that the certainty and the severity of punishment are significant factors to deter future crime of thieves. The power of the explanation of certainty is bigger than severity on the deterrence among thieves. However, we failed to report the impact of celerity of punishment and informal social control. Detailed results and policy implications are discussed in the context.

유압 Spool Valve의 Groove 형상에 따른 윤활특성 해석

In this paper, a commercial computational fluid dynamics(CFD) code, FLUENT is used to investigate the flow and lubrication characteristics of grooved hydraulic spool valve. The stream lines and pressure distributions are obtained for various groove shapes and film thicknesses. The stream lines are highly affected by groove shape but pressure distributions mainly depend on the film shape and its magnitude. Therefore the numerical method adopted in this paper and results can be use in designing of various grooved spool valve.

구조화된 감사저널쓰기가 발달장애자녀 어머니들의 감사, 삶의 만족, 정적정서비율, 심리적 소진 및 우울에 미치는 효과

The purpose of the study is to examine the effects of writing a structured gratitude journal writing on the satisfaction in mothers of children with developmental disabilities, positivity ratio, burnout, and depression. In this study, gratitude interventions were implemented as long-term sustainable self-help interventions for mothers who care for their children with lifelong developmental disabilities. Twenty-eight mothers living in the metropolitan area were assigned once a week to experimental group 1, twice a week to experimental group 2, and non-treatment control groups. In both experimental groups 1 and 2, the eight-week gratitude journal writing was found to be effective in promoting gratitude, reducing burnout and depression than in control groups. There were no significant differences in life satisfaction among the three groups, with the positivity ratio increasing the number of participants in the ‘flourishing’, decreasing the number of participants in the ‘pathology’, and reducing burnout and depression. These results are significant in suggesting alternative psychological interventions that could benefit mothers of disabled children who are reluctant to receive psychological services for themselves. 본 연구의 목적은 구조화된 감사저널쓰기가 발달장애자녀를 둔 어머니들의 삶의 만족, 정적정서비율, 소진 및 우울에 미치는 효과를 살펴보는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 장애가 일생동안 지속되는 발달장애를 지닌 자녀를 장기간 돌보는 어머니들을 위해 장기적으로 지속가능한 자조적 시행이 가능한 개입으로, 긍정심리학을 기반으로 한 감사저널쓰기를 시행하였다. 이를 위해 수도권에 거주하는 어머니 28명을 주 1회 실험집단 1, 주 2회 실험집단 2, 무처치 통제집단으로 할당하였다. 8주간의 감사저널쓰기는 실험집단 1과 2 모두 통제집단보다 감사의 증진과 소진 및 우울의 감소에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 삶의 만족 및 정적정서비율에 있어서는 세 집단 간 유의한 차이가 없었으나, 실험집단에서는 정적정서비율에 있어 정신건강을 의미하는 ‘번영’ 상태에 해당하는 참여자 수가 증가하였고, ‘병리’ 상태에 속하는 참여자 수는 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 주 1회 집단이 주 2회 집단보다 더 효과적이었으며, 소진 및 우울의 감소에는 주 1회보다 주 2회 집단이 더 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 이 같은 결과는 자기 자신을 위한 심리지원 서비스 받기를 꺼려하는 장애아 어머니들에게 직접적인 유익을 줄 수 있는 대안적 심리개입을 제안하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this research is to examine the influence relation of mice strategic alliance motives, criteria for partner selection, and alliance satisfaction. A considerable influence relation was detected in these mice alliances, between the motives of alliance and standard for partner selection, and also between standard for partner selection and alliance satisfaction. From the result of the factor analysis with 9 alliance motives items, 9 criteria for partner selection items, 3 alliance motives items, and 3 criteria for partner selection items. The result of this study are as follows: First, all of the alliance motives factors affected the criteria for partner selection. Second, all of the alliance motives factors and criteria of partner selection are influenced the alliance satisfaction.

백령도의 보존가치가 높은 지형과 활용 방안에 관한 연구

Baegryeong Island in Baeryeong topographic sheet is northern-most island in Yellow Sea. Its diverse coastal landforms include sea-cliffs, sea stacks, shingle and sandy beaches, and tidal flats. Dumujin area is the most famous tourist spot thanks to it’s landforms such as sea stack, caves and sea arches orginated from differential erosion between Pre-cambrian slate and quartzite. Sagotdong, which attracts lots of tourists, has well-developed sandy beaches, and shingle beaches in Nampori area is designated as a Korean natural monument # 392. Despite its rich natural resources, its tourism industry is not booming due to the several reasons. Fences and other protective measures installed to prevent military infiltration by North Korean causes major problems to the access to the view points. Geo-tourism utilizing diverse landforms and geological features in the island can promote the tourism industry further than traditional sight-seeing. Landform inventory survey in coastal area has many problems, which is no exceptions for the Baegryeong Island. Data of the basal materials and underwater topographic features in coastal area survey may enhance the quality of survey into the scientific explanation instead of mere description.

Shelly maintains the stance of a social reform in the verse drama, The Cenci, just as his poems represent the reformer’s attitude against inequality, tyranny, and oppression occurring from despots and false institutions. The oppressive patriarch represented by father in The Cenci and the corrupt religious law represented by the pope are the means of restraining and suppressing Beatrice. Therefore, in The Cenci, Shelley reconsiders women’s rights in earnest. In a patriarchal society dominated by men, sexual violence becomes a means of suppressing women. Furthermore, the Catholic Church tolerates sins for property proliferation and does not give any mental comfort to believers. So the society described in The Cenci is a society where the possibility of change is completely blocked, and women’s freedom is impossible by patriarchy and by a corrupted church. But Beatrice’s aggressive behavior against oppression from her patriarchal father and the corrupted church shows that change is possible. Consequently, Beatrice’s act promises new potential for women by breaking and overcoming the oppressive ruling system of a patriarchal and religious order. (Wonkwang University)
