사회적 지지와 지역사회 사회자본이 미취학 아동의 자기효능감에 미치는 영향에 관한 탐색적 연구

자기효능감은 삶을 성공적으로 이끌기 위해 필요한 정서이므로 아동에게 특히 중요한 데, 아동의 자기효능감에 영향을 주는 요인의 하나가 사회적 지지이다. 그러나 선행연구 에서는 가족?또래?교사 지지에는 주목한 반면, 지역사회 수준의 사회적 지지에는 주 목하지 않는 경향이 있었다. 지역사회 수준의 사회적 지지를 정확히 측정하는 도구가 없 는 상황에서, 지역사회 지지와 관련이 있는 개념이 지역사회 사회자본이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 가족?또래?교사 지지와 지역사회 사회자본이 아동의 자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 결과, 지역사회 사회자본은 아동의 자기효능감에 가장 크 게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 이에 따른 실천적?정책적 제언을 제 시하였다. Self-efficacy is an essential element for a successful living and thus exercises considerable influence on health. It is especially important to children. Social support has been one of the determinants for self-efficacy. Hence so far, various types of social support from the family, peers, and teachers have received a great deal of attention. Yet, little attention has been paid to the community-level social support. Community social capital has been frequently used as a proxy for community-level social support. In such a context, this study examines the influence of family-, peer-, teacher-level social support and community social capital on preschool children`s self-efficacy. The results indicate that all types of social support and community social capital have influence on the self-efficacy. Particularly, community social capital determines self-efficacy to a large extent. Some implications are suggested.

비정규직 근로자의 사회적 배제가 정신건강에 미치는 영향

현대에 들어 노동시장이 더 유연화 되고 있기 때문에 고용의 형태가 다양해지고 있고, 이에 따라 비정규직 일자리가 두드러지게 증가하고 있다. 비정규직 근로자는 고용 불안정과 열악한 근무 여건 때문에, 사회적 배제를 겪을 가능성이 크다. 그리고 비정규직 근로자가 사회적 배제를 겪을 경우에는 정신건강 문제를 경험할 가능성이 커진다. 이중에서 우울은 음주, 자살, 장애 등을 유발하는 증상이므로 관심을 가져야 할 정신건강 문제이다. 그러나 우리나라에서 비정규직 근로자의 사회적 배제와 정신건강 문제를 다룬 연구는 없다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 대표적인 비정규직 근로자인 건설직 일용근로자를 대상으로 사회적 배제와 우울 사이의 관계를 실증적으로 살펴보았다. 조사 결과, 일용근로자의 사회적 배제는 우울에 유의미하게 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. As intense economic competition has led to more flexibility in the labor market, marginal or atypical employment has rapidly grown. Although marginal work represents an important proportion of whole employment, it is still characterized by insecure and unfavorable working conditions. Therefore employees in marginal jobs are highly likely to be subject to social exclusion. In turn, social exclusion puts marginal workers in a high risk of mental health problems. One of major mental health symptoms has been depression. So far, however, little attention has been paid to the effect of social exclusion of marginal employees on mental health problems including depression. Hence this study examines empirically the effect of social exclusion of casual workers in the construction industry, a protype of marginal employees, on depression. Its results indicate that social exclusion has influence upon depression of marginal workers. This study is the first one to delve into the relationships between temporary employment, social exclusion, and depression of marginal employees. Yet much more empirical researches are needed in order to shed brighter light on these relationships.

다문화가족아동의 학교생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인

최근 신규결혼 10건중 1건 비율로 국제결혼이 증가하고 있으며, 다문화가족은 한국사회의 일상적 현상으로 자리잡고 있다. 이에 따라 다문화가족아동도 증가 추이에 있으며, 이들은 다른 아동에 비해 심리적·사회적 차원에서 적응에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 학교는 다문화가족아동의 적응과 성장에 핵심적인 공간이기 때문에 중요하다. 선행연구에 따르면, 여러 요인이 다문화가족아동의 학교생활만족도에 영향을 미치는데, 이런 요인에는 자아존중감, 부모의 교육관여, 친구관계, 따돌림, 방과후활동이 포함된다. 본 연구의 결과, 학교생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 자아존중감, 부모의 교육참여, 친구관계, 따돌림인 것으로 나타났 다. 즉 자아존중감이 높을수록, 부모의 교육참여의 정도가 높을수록, 친구관계가 좋을수록, 따돌림의 정도가 낮을수록 학교생활만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 이에 근거해 몇 가지 정책적·실천적 제언을 제시하였다. International marriages are increasing recently at the rate of 1 out of 10 cases, and multicultural families became an ordinary part of Korean society. Children from multicultural families are also increasing, and they are struggling with psychological and social-wide difficulties compared with other ordinary children. School plays a key role in the adaptation and growth of children from multicultural families. So far self-esteem, parents’ participation in education, peer relations, bullying and after-school activities have been known to influence their satisfaction with school life. The results of this study indicate that such factors as self-esteem, parents’ participation in education, peer relations and bullying of children from multicultural families exert an influence on their school life satisfaction, respectively. Some implications are suggested in this study.

오늘날 우리나라에서 국제결혼을 하는 사례가 증가함에 따라 결혼이민여성이 많아지고 있다. 그러나 결혼이민여성은 여러 가지 심리적ㆍ사회적 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이에 따라 결혼이민여성에게는 높은 자아존중감이 필요한데, 자아존중감을 증진시키는 주요한 요인들 가운데 하나가 사회적 지지이다. 그런데 결혼이민여성이 겪는 어려움 중의 하나는 아동양육이다. 따라서 아동양육 영역에서의 사회적 지지는 결혼이민여성의 자아존중감을 향상하는데 긍정적인 역할을 할 수 있다. 결혼이민여성과 관련해 그간 자주 거론된 사회적 지지는 가족 지지이었다. 하지만 지역사회 수준의 사회적 지지도 결혼이민여성의 자아존중감을 증진하는데 큰 역할을 한다. 이런 맥락에서 본 연구에서는 결혼이민여성이 아동양육과 관련해 얻는 지역사회 지지가 자아존중감에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 결과, 지역사회 지지는 결혼이민여성의 자아존중감을 가장 잘 예측하는 변수로 나타났다. 이런 연구 결과에 근거하여, 본 연구에서는 케어 영역에서의 실천적ㆍ정책적ㆍ학문적 제언을 몇 가지 제시하였다. The number of married immigrant women in Korea has steadily increased, but they are frequently faced with a variety of problems. To surmount these problems, married immigrant women need a high level of self-esteem. In this respect, social support plays a prominent role in enhancing their self-esteem. On the other hand, married immigrant women are highly likely to have difficulties in the childrearing area. Thus social support in relation with childrearing of married immigrant women is expected to enhance their self-esteem. So far, however, little attention has been paid to the community-level social support, though it belongs to an important type of social support. Therefore this study aims at exploring to what extent the community-level social support in relation with childrearing has influence upon the self-esteem of married immigrant women. The results of this study indicate that community-level social support is the strongest determinant of self-esteem of married immigrant women. Some implications are suggested in this study.

현대 사회가 고령화 현상을 겪음에 따라 크게 관심을 가져야 하는 것이 노인의 노동시장 참여이다. 하지만 현재의 노동 현실은 노인 근로자에게 불리하게 나가고 있다. 그러나 현재의 나이 차별에 대한 뿌리는 현실적인 경제적 고려에 있기보다는 경영진이 노인 근로자에 대해 밑바탕에서 인식하는 부정적 편견에 있는 경우도 많다. 이런 맥락에서 본 글에서는 노인에 대한 고용 여건과 노인 근로자의 고용에 대한 인식을 살펴보고, 노인 근로자가 퇴직 전과 퇴직 후에 경제활동에 참여하는데 도움이 되는 산업복지 관련 프로그램을 살펴본다. With the coming of ageing society in advanced countries and Korea, broad attention has been increasingly paid to participation of older workers in the labor market. Yet thus far the prospect for employability has not been good for older people. To a large extent, it seems that the root of current age discrimination lies not in the practical economic consideration but in the employers' negative streotypes on older workers. Therefore this study discusses the employment status of older workers and the employers' perception on them. Then some programs and schemes which can be useful in industrial welfare for the promotion of employment of older workers before and after retirement are suggested.
