In general, PVA has excellent oxygen barrier property. Na<sup>+</sup>-MMT is formation of plate-shaped with an average diameter of approximately one micrometer. It developed through path in the PVA matrix. Therefore, it is difficult to penetrate from the outside oxygen. In this study, Poly(vinyl alcohol)/clay nanocomposites were prepared as a function of clay contents in the PVA matrix. Silicate layers of clay affected PVA crystallization behavior. As dispersion of silicate in the PVA matrix, it disturbed formation of crystalline that decreasing enthalpy of PVA.
Modification of the IT epoxy adhesive for low-temperature curing property by Sol-Gel method

Light emitting diodes (LEDs) have increasingly been studied for application in the fields of displays and lighting to fabricate environmentally friendly illumination devices with low energy consumption. The LED adhesive is essential to stick the light diffusion lens on the substrate for smooth and bright light of the LED. The LED lens adhesive shows different characteristics with general epoxy adhesives such as low-temperature and fast curing. However, it is generally imported from aboard and used. Therefore, a new material which developed by domestic technology is requied. In this study, We synthesized Oligosiloxane resins with the higher degree of condensation indicated low shrinkage and effective curing behavior via non-hydrolytic sol-gel method. It was introduced as a hardner of epoxy adhesive to improve the low-temperature curing property and Pot-life. The curing property was analyzed by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC).

Epoxy adhesive is widely used in electronic apparatus, it is included in the small parts and devices. In particular, the low-heat-resistant material such as polymeric material is needed fast and low-temperature curing behavior because avoided high temperature exposure. In general, it was well known that the curing reaction at low temperature of the epoxy and mercaptan is faster than the reaction of the epoxy and amine. In this study, we are studied the curing behaviors of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) with modification of mercaptan hardener. We adopted the mercaptan with -SH functional group in order to enable low-temperature and fast curing. It was used in the two types according to the number of functional groups. The curing property was analyzed by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Rheometer.

An Epoxy adhesive for attaching the Light emitting diodes (LEDs) and the LED lens is composed of Epoxy resin and hardener. The LED adhesive is essential to stick the light diffusion lens on the substrate for smooth and bright light of the LED. It is required different characteristics with general epoxy adhesives such as low-temperature and fast curing. In this study, Hardener with copolymer-based mercaptan silane and Long chain (octyl) silane synthesized by sol-gel condensation reaction. The thermal properties were investigated by Thermo gravimetric analyzer (TGA). Curing behaviors were evaluated by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) at dynamic and isothermal conditions.

IT epoxy adhesive have been used in numerous applications, such as optical and electric devices. The epoxy adhesive is required Light emitting diodes (LEDs) lens to smooth and bright light of the LED. The purpose is LED lens epoxy adhesive development for attaching the LED lens and the lens substrate. We modified hardener with mercaptan oligosiloxane. Mercaptan oligosiloxane resins were synthesized by sol-gel condensation reaction of (3-Mercaptopropyl)-dimethoxysilane (MPDMS) or (3-Mercaptopropyl)-trimethoxysilane (MPTMS) and diphenylsilanediol (DPSD) for the LED lens adhesive. The mercaptan oligosiloxanes were characterized using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). Curing behaviors were evaluated by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) at dynamic and isothermal conditions.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease that can manifest systemically in many organs. It is most common in women of child-bearing age. Neuropsychiatric SLE is characterized by central nervous system (CNS) symptoms. CNS manifestations of SLE have been discovered in all parts of the brain, although thalamic infarcts associated with SLE are rare, especially in males. Here, we report a thalamic infarction in a 22-year-old male SLE patient.
Discotic-based small molecules for organic photovoltaic devices: synthesis and characterization

Organic photovoltaic cells (OPVs) have drawn significant attention for these applications due to the global technology trends toward economic feasibility and continuous development coupled with efforts to preserve the environment. To improve the charge transport between the interfaces, a number of investigations to study the effects of introducing an interlayer have been reported recently. In particular, most research efforts have focused on the use of alcohol/water-soluble conjugated polymer electrolytes (CPEs) for the interlayer. In this study, we synthesized novel alcohol/water-soluble discotic type small molecules. The discotic derivatives exhibit unique material properties, such as high one-dimensional (1D) charge-carrier mobilities and anisotropic mechanical and optical properties.

Epoxy adhesive is superior mechanical properties after curing. For instance, it is excellent in adhesive strength, heat resistance and electrical insulation properties. Epoxy adhesive is used to utilize from large to small equipment in the IT field. Especially, LEDs lens attached to small devices, make to light bright smooth, is required for devices such as opto-electronic devices. So, the heat sensitive material such as polymeric material is needed low-temperature and fast curing. In this paper, we studied the curing behaviors of Bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (DGEBA) with modification of mercaptan hardener. We used mercaptan polymer according to the number of -SH functional groups for lowtemperature and fast curing. The curing property was analyzed by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Rheometer.
