Objective : In this study, we investigated the prevalence of depression and its impact on the healthrelated Quality of life (HRQoL) of the patients with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) on Hemodialysis. Method : The Quality of life (QOL) of patients was evaluated by HRQoL Questionnaire, "Medical Outcome Survey 36-Item Short Form Health Survey Korean Version (SF-36-K)". The patients on Hemodialysis in ESRD, were chosen from the hemodialytic room at Wonkwang University and Jeongeup-Asan Hospital. The number of patients was 95 (64 from Wonkwang University Hospital and 31 from Jeongeup-Asan Hospital) and all of them were above 19 years old. We performed various investigations to find a statistical correlations between HRQoL and physical & psychosocial factors such as the demographic characteristics, clinical characteristics (hemoglobin level and albumin level etc), and the score of Beck's depressive inventory (BDI). Results : The HRQoL value of patients on hemodialysis in ESRD is far poorer than the HRQoL reference value of Koreans and Americans, who are in normal healthly. The prevalence of depressive symptoms by BDI of the ESRD patients on hemodialysis is 68.6%, and age and depression have negative correlations with HRQoL of the patients. However, education level, serum albumin level, and social support have positive correlations with HRQoL. The patient group with depression has significantly poorer HRQoL than the group without depression. Conclusion : The HRQoL of ESRD patients on hemodialysis is not good in both physical and mental aspects. The prevalence of depression is very high and depression has negative impact of HRQoL of patients. Based on our study, it is essential to accompany with therapeutic Strategy to improve the HRQoL of ESRD patients on hemodialysis.

The Gallery of Casa del Agua in Jeju Island was demolished by Jeju local government on March 6 in the last year. In the meanwhile, a lot of people including the architectural field had denied the demolition. Regardless of sustained efforts in order that the building could be preserved as a work, Jeju government ended up with demolishing the gallery. The Gallery of Casa del Agua was a temporary building constructed as a model house of Casa del Agua. As the remaining period of the temporary building had passed, it was on the verge of demolition by Jeju government. Casa del Agua is 'dwelling of water' in Korean, and the building was the last posthumous work of Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta. Knowing from the expression of 'dwelling of water', this house is a dwelling work of him. Through this work, his architecture languages that he had pursued contained in dwelling could be looked into. This study examined the background and course of demolition of the Gallery of Casa del Agua, 'dwelling of water' and arranged problems in the course of demolition. Then, the fact that the Gallery of Casa del Agua as an architecture work of Ricardo Legorreta included his architecture languageswas analyzed. For this, his universalarchitecture languages were examined and how the architecture languages were applied to the Gallery of Casa del Agua was analyzed. As a result, it could be known that languages of composition and languages of emotion consistently shown in his works were represented in the Gallery of Casa del Agua.

The purpose of this study is to consider the relation between the deciding factors of local identity and local image improvement. To achieve this purpose, the deciding factors of local identity have been set as the following four: historical identity, cultural identity, (nature) scenery identity, and industrial identity. The writer has established a model to represent the relation between these factors and the local image improvement, namely 'Visitor Satisfaction' and 'Revisit Intentions', and framed a hypothesis for empirical verification. The study results are as follows: First, the deciding factors of local identity which this study addressed are empirically proven to have a significant effect on the visitor satisfaction and the intention to revisit in which is it likely that the greater the impact of the deciding factors, the higher the visitor satisfaction and revisit intentions would be. Second, the deciding factors of local identity, it appears that the 'historical identity' factor had the largest impact on the visitor satisfaction, and the 'cultural identity' factor had the largest impact on the revisit intentions. Therefore, of the four deciding factors, the 'historical identity' should be considered the highest priority to increase the visitor satisfaction, and the 'cultural identity' should be considered the highest priority to increase the revisit intentions. Third, based on the verification of the relation between the visitor satisfaction and revisit intentions, it can be presumed that the greater the visitor satisfaction, the higher the revisit intentions would be.

본 논문에서는 개방 루프 형태를 지닌 다중 분할 링 공진기를 이용하여 0.13 um CMOS 공정에서 전압 제어 발진기의 설계 및 제작을 통해 위상 잡음 특성을 개선하였다. CMOS LC 공진기를 이용한 기존의 전압 제어 발진기와 비교했을 때, 본 논문에서 제안한 CMOS 전압 제어 발진기의 보다 큰 결합 계수를 통하여 Q-factor의 향상을 얻을 수 있었고, 이로 인해 전압 제어 발진기의 위상 잡음의 특성을 개선할 수 있었다. 개방 루프 다중 분할 링 공진기를 이용하여 제안된 전압 제어 발진기의 위상 잡음은 1 MHz 오프셋에서 -99.67 dBc/Hz의 특성을 나타내었다. 기존의 CMOS LC 전압 제어 발진기에 비해 약 7 dB의 위상 잡음 개선 특성을 얻을 수 있었고, 발진 주파수는 24 GHz이며, 0.13 um CMOS 공정을 통해 $0.7\;mm{\times}0.9\;mm$의 크기를 가지고 있다. In this paper, a novel voltage-controlled oscillator(VCO) using the open loop multiple split ring resonator(OLMSRR) is presented for improving the phase noise, implemented in 130 nm CMOS technology. Compared with the conventional CMOS LC resonator, the proposed CMOS OLMSRR has the larger coupling coefficient value, which makes a higher Q-factor, and has improved the phase noise of the VCO. The proposed CMOS VCO based OLMSRR has the phase noise of -99.67 dBc/Hz @ 1 MHz in the oscillation frequency. Compared with the VCO using the conventional CMOS LC resonator and the proposed VCO using the CMOS OLMSRR structure has been improved in 7 dB. The prototype 24 GHz CMOS VCO is implemented in 130 nm CMOS and occupies a compact die area of $0.7\;mm{\times}0.9\;mm$.

New polyimine derivative containing fluorene group in the main chain was synthesized via Suzuki cross-coupling polymerization, reduction, and imine formation reaction, consecutively. The synthesized polymer was characterized and explored as organic photovoltaic cell device. The imine polymer P3 in diluted chloroform solution emitted red light (582 nm), whereas its precursor polymers P1 and P2 showed green (about 530 nm) and blue fluorescence (477 nm), respectively. Bulk heterojunction photovoltaic cells fabricated by blending P3 with the fullerene derivative PCBM was found to have a power conversion efficiency of upto 0.0005%, while cells from blending P3 with MEH-PPV yielded 0.0008% of power conversion efficiency.
