      • 축분뇨 액비 저장조의 운영실태 및 악취 물질 발생량 조사

        본 연구는 국내에 설치되어 있는 액비저장조의 운영실태를 조사하고, 액비저장조에서 발생되는 악취물질을 구명하고자 수행하였다. 1. 국내에 200톤 규모의 액비저장조를 설치한 60 농가를 대상으로 한 본 조사에서 약 $93\%$가 액비저장조를 제대로 가동을 하고 있었으며 이중 $57\%$가 액비제조시 폭기 처리하고 있었다. 2. 조사 농가 중 년간 액비의 활용 횟수는 2회가 $50\%$로 나타났고 액비의 부숙 효과를 높이고 악취를 저감시키기 위한 목적으로 $64\%$가 미생물제제를 첨가하고 있었다. 반면에 액비 이용시 인력 장비의 비용 및 악취물질 발생 저감을 위한 첨가제 비용이 $43\%$로 조사되어 액비이용 시 문제점으로 지적되었다. 3. 액비 제조 형태별 악취물질 발현양상으로 호기 제조시 액비저장조내에서는 iso-valeric acid가 0.012에서 0.07ppm, Propionic acid가 $0.17\~2.85ppm$의 범위로 검지되었으며 혐기 제조시에는 n-Butyric acid가 1.5에서 2.3ppm, n-valeric acid가 $1.3\~1.8ppm$, acetaldehyde가 0.8에서 2.1ppm로 검지되어 호기 제조방법과 혐기 제조방법 모두 휘발성 지방산의 농도는 악취방지법의 규제농도 이상이었다. 부지경계선에서의 악취물질을 보면 호기시에는 미검출로 나타났고 혐기 제조시에는 Acetaldehyde가 $0.4\~0.9ppm$ 수준으로 검지되어 악취방지법의 규제농도를 초과였다. This study was carried out to determine the acceptability of liquid manure bin among livestock farmers and agricultural farmers, and quantify its malodorous compounds. The results were as follows; 1. The size of the manure bins owned by $93\%$ of 60 farmers surveyed was 200 M/T and were all in normal operation. Around $57\%$ of the normally operated bins were processed under aerobic condition. 2. Filly percent of the respondents utilized their liquid manure bin twice a year while $64\%$ used commercial microbial products to enhance maturity of their liquid manure and abatement of malodorous emissions. On the other hand, $43\%$ mentioned problems on the labor requirement, mechanical maintenance and lending cost of liquid manure processing and utilization, and the price of the commercial microbial products. 3. Malodorants emitted from livestock liquid manure bins and their boundary bin depended upon the livestock liquid manure processing condition. Within bin under the aerobic processing condition, Iso-valeric and propionic acid were ranged 0.012 to 0.07ppm and 0.17 to 2.85ppm, respectively. Within bin under the anoxic processing condition, n-butyric, n-valeric acid, and acetaldehyde were ranged 1.5 to 2.3ppm, 1.3 to 1.8ppm, and 0.8 to 2.1ppm, respectively. Malodorants emitted from the boundary of livestock liquid manure bins under the anoxic processing condition were detected the range of 0.4 to 0.9 ppm, more than the concentration of law regulation, as an acetaldehyde, but under the aerobic processing condition, they did not any detection.

        녹차추출물/L-Theanine 혼합물의 Secretase 활성 억제 및 세포사 억제를 통한 기억력 회복능

        We examined the effect of green tea extract (GTE) and L-theanine combination on the $A{\beta}_{1-42}$-induced memory dysfunction. GTE and combination were administrated into mice for 3 weeks followed by injection of $A{\beta}_{1-42}$ to induce memory impairment. GTE and L-theanine administration significantly improved cognitive ability and reduced $A{\beta}_{1-42}$ level accompanied with the inhibition of neuronal cell death and activities of secretase. These results suggest that GTE and L-theanine combination may be a useful for preventing for the development or progression of Alzheimer's disease.

      • 옥수수(Zea Mays L.) 불검화 추출물과 후박(Magnoliae cortex) 추출물의 혼합물이 백서의 두개골 재생에 미치는 영향

        I. Purpose of Study Zea Mays L. has been known to be effective for improving periodontal health and Magnoliae cortex to have effective antibacterial and antimicrobial activity against periodontal pathogens. The purpose of this study was to examine the biologic effects of Zea Mays L. and Magnoliae cortex extract mixtures on healing of rat calvarial bone defects. II. Materials & Methods 8mm circular defects were prepared on rat calvaria during surgical procedures of 180 Sprague-Dawley rats. The ethanolic extracts of Magnoliae cortex and Zea Mays L. and these two natural extract 1:1 and 2:1 (Magnoliae: Zea Mays L.) ratio mixtures were oral administrated by oral zondes once a day at two different dose of 94.5mg/kg, 189mg/kg body weight. There are nine groups of rats in this study: control group (no sample loading), Magnoliae cortex extract loading groups (I,II)(94.5mg/kg,189mg/kg respectively), Zea Mays L. extract loading groups (I,II), M:Z(1:1) loading groups (I,II), M:Z(2:1) loading groups(I,II). Rats were sacrificed at 4 weeks and 6 weeks after surgery. New bone formations around calvarial defects were radiographically and histologically measured by computerassisted histomorphometry. Each data was statistically analyzed by One-way ANOVA test. III. Results There were statistical significances between negative control group and the other test groups on radiographical and histological quantitative assessments. Among test groups, mixture groups showed statistical significances, especially, M:Z (2:1) groups (I and II) were highly significant.(p<0.05) These results implicated that the mixture of Magnoliae and Zea Mays L. (2:1 mixing ratio) with 94.5mg/kg concentration might be highly effective on the wound healing of bony defected site and have potential possibilities as a useful drug to promote bone tissue regeneration.

        후박 및 은행물 추출물을 함유한 치약의 임상 및 미생물학적 효과에 관한 연구

        Previous studies have shown that Magnoliae cortex and Ginkgo biloba extracts were showed on the antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action, in vitro. The purpose of this study was to evaluate on the effect of antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activity of Magnoliae cortex and Ginkgo biloba extracts containing dentifrice in gingivitis. 70 subjects with gingivitis were divided into an experimental group which performed normal oral hygiene procedure with Magnoliae cortex and Ginkgo biloba extracts containing dentifrice and a control group which also performed normal oral hygiene procedure with the same dentifrice without the natural extracts and completed a doubleblind, cross-over study. At baseline and 3 weeks, subjects were assayed for clinical study by plaque index, gingival index, pocket depth, GCF rate, and microbiological study by subgingival dental plaque bacterial morphotypes by phase contrast microscopy, total anaerobes, total aerobes, Black pigmented bacteroides, A.actionomycetemcomitans, A.viscosus, C.rectus, Ssenguis; P.gingivalis, P.intennedia by bacterial culture and immunofluorescence microscopy. After 3 weeks using their respective dentifrices, reductions in the clinical indices of subjects were similar between the experimental dentifrice group and a control dentifrice group except for statistically significant much reductions in PI, GI, and GCF rate in the experimental dentifrice group as compared to control dentifrice group. Also statistically significant reductions in the motile rods and Spirochetes were found in both experimental group to compare with control group, however statistically much reduction in total anaerobes, Black pigmented bacteroides, and P.gingivalis, P.intennedia were found in the experimental dentifrice group as compared to control dentifrice group. This results indicates that Magnoliae cortex and Ginkgo biloba extracts containing dentifrice might be useful for elimination of gingival inflammation.

        공대공 적외선 미사일의 항력을 고려한 초음속 항공기의 피격성 분석

        An infrared-guided missile has been emerging as a major threat against combat aircraft due to its passive guidance characteristics and with recent advances in stealth technology. Hence, the infrared stealth technology and its effectiveness-evaluation technique become more significant than ever before. In this study, we applied missile aerodynamics to lethal range calculation which allowed more precise prediction. CFD analyses were newly involved in estimating drag force characteristics of an infrared-guided missile. Velocity profiles during flight period of the missile were constructed utilizing these drag characteristics and then incorporated into our in-house code to predict corresponding lethal ranges. The results showed that the present method can predict lethal range more appropriately than the previous one with constant velocity profile. As one of the results, if a fighter gains altitude more which reduces less drag of the attacking missile, then the lethal envelope increases significantly more compared to the lock-on envelope.

        우분으로부터 Bacillus subtilis CH-10의 분리 및 균주가 분비하는 Cellulase의 특성에 관한 연구

        우분으로부터 cellulase를 생산하는 미생물을 congo red 염색과 활성측정을 통해 선발하여 cellulase 활성이 우수한 균을 분리하였다. 분리균은 생화학적, 형태학적, 균체 지방산 조성을 근거로 Bacillus subtilis CH-10으로 동정하였다. 분리균이 분비하는 효소학적 특성 중 효소생산 조건은 초기 pH7.5 및 배양돈도 50${\circ}C$ 그리고 48시간 배양이 가장 적합하였다. 조효소액에서 CMCase 최적 온도는 75${\circ}C$이었고, 온도안정성은 50${\circ}C$까지 70%의 효소활성을 유지하였다. 조효소액에서 CMCase 최적 pH는 7.5이었고, pH 안정성은 pH7.5~9.0 영역에서 70%의 효소활성을 유지하였다. 분리균을 CMC 배지에서 37${\circ}C$, 24시간 배양시 나타난 CMCase와 Fpase 활성은 각각 1.13 U/㎖와 0.16U/㎖ 였으나 avicelase와 ${\beta}$-glucosidase의 활성은 검출되지 않았다. CMC-SDS-PAGE 방법으로 3개의 효소활성 band를 확인하였고, Cel 1 및 2 그리고 Cel 3의 분자량은 각각 약 39 및 41 그리고 57kDa이었다. A bacterium producing the extracellular cellulase was isolated from cattle feces and screened as cellulase activity was excellent upon congo red straining method and activity measurements. Isolate was identified as Bacillus subtilis CH-10 on the basis of morphological and biochemical properties as well as cellular fatty acids composition. The enzyme which the isolate secretes had the optimum initial pH and temperature for its induction was 7.5 and 50${\circ}C$, respectively. The maximum CMCase activity in crude enzyme solution was observed at pH 7.5 and 75${\circ}C$ and was stable for pH 7.5 to 9.0 to maintain 70% activity. When the isolate was cultured in CMC media at 37${\circ}C$ for 24 hrs, CMCase and FPase activity was 1.13 U/㎖and 0.16U/㎖, respectively whereas Avicelase and ${\beta}$-glucosidase activity was not detected. When crude supernatant was used for zymogram, three major bands, cel 1, cel 2 and cel 3, were detected approximately 39, 41 and 57 KDa, respectively on CMC-SDS-PAGE.
