Optical Characterization of Luminescent Silicon Nanowires

Visible photoluminescence (PL) at room temperature from silicon nanowires (Si NWs) prepared by using the metal-assisted chemical-etching (MACE) technique is reported. The morphology and the luminescence properties of Si NWs are characterized by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), and luminescence spectroscopy. TEM images of the luminescent Si NWs reveal that the surfaces of the Si NWs are very rough, with a few nano-sized silicon particles being attached to the Si NWs. Luminescent Si NWs are optically characterized by PL and Raman measurements. Temperature-dependent PL measurements are measured at temperatures from 5 K to room temperature to determine the origin of the PL. The PL intensity decreases and the wavelength of the PL is blue-shifted as the temperature is increased. The Raman spectra of luminescent Si NWs reveal quantum connement of the Si NWs.
Fabrication and Characterization of Porous Silicon Nanowires

We report the synthesis of porous silicon nanowires through the metalassistedchemical etching of porous silicon in a solution of hydrofluoricacid and hydrogen peroxide. The morphology of porous siliconnanowires was characterized by scanning electron microscopy andtransmission electron microscopy. The etch rate of the porous siliconnanowires was faster than that of silicon nanowires, but slower than thatof porous silicon. The porous silicon nanowires distributed uniformly onthe entire porous silicon layer and the tips of the porous siliconnanowires congregated together. The single crystalline and sponge-likeporous structure with the pore diameters of less than 5 nm wasconfirmed for the porous silicon nanowires.
항공기 외장형 정찰 장비용 냉각 시스템의 성능 특성에 관한 실험적 연구

In this paper, we have proposed a vapor cycle refrigeration system as a cooling system to provide cooling air to the aircraft external reconnaissance stores. In the proposed vapor cycle system, receiver which prevents refrigerant from subcooling was eliminated and thermal expansion valve was replaced with electronic expansion valve. The vapor cycle refrigeration system is aimed to provide cooling air to the reconnaissance stores which is added to the aircraft in the form of external store. The wide temperature range of ambient air from the flight conditions can decrease the cooling performance and can make the refrigeration system unstable in low ambient temperature. Performance characteristics of the vapor cycle refrigeration system has been experimented under air conditions which is derived from the flight envelope. From the experiments, the vapor cycle refrigeration system has been proved to provide enough cooling air to the reconnaissance equipment and to be stable under all the flight conditions.
각속도 차이에 따른 발목관절 등속성 훈련이 성인의 균형능력과 고유수용성 감각에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 건강한 성인 16명을 대상으로 8주간 등속성 근력 강화군(60IEG)과 근지구력 강화군(180IEG)으로 구분하여 등속성 근력, 균형능력과 고유수용성감각 능력에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위해 실시하였다. 각속도 60°/sec의 검사에서 두 집단 모두 배측, 저측 굴곡력이 유의하게 증가하였으며(p<.01), 상호작용 효과에서도 유의한 차이가 나타났다(p=.001). 특히, 각속도 60°/sec의 훈련을 실시한 60IEG에서 180IEG보다 높은 근력 증가를 나타냈다. 각속도 180°/sec 검사에서 두 집단 모두 배측, 저측 굴곡력이 유의하게 증가하였으며(p<.01), 상호작용 효과에서도 유의한 차이가 나타났다(p=.001). 특히, 180IEG에서 60IEG보다 상대적으로 높은 지구력 증가를 나타냈으며, 안정성 지수는 60IEG과 180IEG 두 집단 모두 유의하게 감소하였다(p<.05, p<.01). 상호작용 효과에서 180IEG가 60IEG 보다 더 감소하는 것으로 나타났다(p=.001). 체중분포지수는 60IEG과 180IEG 두 집단 모두 시기 간 감소하였으며(p<.01, p<.05), 고유수용성감각 검사에서는 능동적 관절위치감각(AJPS)에서 180IEG의 관절위치감각 오차 각도가 유의하게 감소하는 것으로 나타났다(p<.05). 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 발목 관절 운동 프로그램을 개발하여 적용시켜 준다면 신체 안정화와 균형능력 향상에 효과가 있을 것이라고 사료된다. The purpose of this study was performed to testify the effect of ankle joint isokinetic exercise according to angular velocity on balance and proprioception. 16 healthy adults were divided into 2 groups- 60°/sec isokinetic training group (60IEG, n=8), 180°/sec isokinetic training group (180IEG n=8)- and they were trained for 8 weeks. In both two groups, interaction effect was shown(p<.001). As a result of post hoc test, muscle strength was increased more in 60°/sec isokinetic training group than 180°/sec isokinetic training group and endurance was more increased in 180°/sec isokinetic training group than 60°/sec isokinetic training group. Stability index decreased more decreased in 180°/sec isokinetic training group than 60°/sec isokinetic training group significantly(p=.001) and showed interaction effect between groups. weight distribution index values decreased in both groups(p<.01, p<.05). In proprioceptive sense pre/post exercise test between the groups, active joint position sense test(AJPS) showed significantly reduced angle position error in 180IEG(p<.05). In conclusion, ankle joint exercise program development and application which based on these results may have effect on body stabilization and balance improvement.
노인 건강식 한방 삼계탕의 제조 및 품질 특성 : Manufacturing and Quality Characteristics of Herb

The physiochemical characteristics and sensory properties of herb Samgyetang added with different dried medicinal herbs were investigated to find the best formulation for elderly healthful dietary. For the herb Samgyetang product, a fixed ratio of Achyranthis radix, Rehmanniae radix, Schizandra chinensis, Atractylodes lancea, Glycyrrhiza glaba L, and Zizyphus jujube were mixed with different concentrations of Paeonia lactiflora (PL) or Platycodon grandiflorum (PG), respectively for the development of new formulation. The pH of herb Samgyetang decreased as PL amount increased and the soluble solid content increased as PG amount increased. S6 showed the highest a* value and b* value, which had the highest addition level of PL. In contrast, S5 was the lowest a* value and b* value. In sensory evaluation, the highest score in flavor, taste and overall acceptability was found in the sample with the highest amounts of PG (S7). In conclusion, the following is suggested as the best formulation of herb Samgyetang : 10% PL, 40% PG, 5% Achyranthis Radix, 5% Rehmanniae Radix, 15% Schizandra chinensis, 10% Atractylodes lancea, 5% Glycyrrhiza glaba L, and 10% Zizyphus jujube.
