        저온하에서 LNG저장탱크용 멤브레인재(STS 304강)의 피로균열진전거동

        The fatigue crack growth behavior of the cold-rolled STS 304 steel developed for membrane material of LNG storage tank was examined experimentally at 293K, 153K and 111K. The fatigue crack growth rate(da/dN) tends to increase as the stress ratio(R) increases over the testing temperature, when compared at the same stress intensity factor range(ΔK). The effect of R on da/dN is more explicit at low temperatures than at room temperature. The resistance of fatigue crack growth at low temperatures is higher compared with that at room temperature, which is attributed to the extent of strain-induced martensitic transformation at the crack lip. The temperature dependence of fatigue crack growth resistance is gradually vanished with an increase in ΔK, which correlates with a decreasing fracture toughness with decreasing temperature. Fractographic examinations reveal that the differences of the fatigue crack growth characteristics between room and low temperatures are mainly explained by the crack closure and the strengthening due to the martensitic transformation.

        For human beings exist with nature and as part of nature, it is most important for them to have nature-familiar and ecological thoughts and sensebility, have a lesson from nature and spiritual communion with nature. A skylark siging in flight up in the sky at the early morning in springtime has supplied many poets and arrists with sense of wonder, inspiration, association and imagination. its vigorous ascent,clear, silvery song, and trailing note spreading wide in the air withe the pastoreal lanscape have attracted many poets and artists. The impression of a skylark and satisfaction and joy with its image not only excites their romantic sensibility and imagination but lets the introspection and interior monologue possible. A skylark as a metaphor is often compared to an excellent poet, wonderful singer, or passionate lover singing love songs. Especially in love songs and folk songs, it is a symbol of romance and youth. The image of ``a skylark singing at heaven``s gate`, ``the song of a skylark awakening the early morning`` and the skylark as the messenger of spring makes powerful impression. The image of the skylark singing in flight also sumbolizes ecstasy in mind, joy of spring, rejuvenation, and represents very satisfactory and heightened state of mind. Both the speaker and the reader of the poem and the lyrics feel wild excitement and elevation. Askylark represented in Romantic nature poems is transcendental beauty and romantic symbol. The skylark in both Wordsworth`s and Shelley`s poems becomes various metaphors such as ``Ethereal minstrel! pilgrim of the sky``, ``Type of the wise``, ``blithe Spirit, ``Scorner of the ground``, And its song is expressed as oxymorons such as a ``flood of harmony``, ``a flood of rapture so divine``, ``unbodied joy``, ``harmonicusmadness``. However, for Robert Browning and George Meredith, the skylark`s song is the love of earth. Modernist poet, Ted Hughes` sensibility and view point to a skylark is different from that of Romantic poets. His is naturalistic and biological, as a skylark`s climbing up to the sky represents its wild life and containing the urge of wildness for survival Mary Oliver`s is both ecological and didactic. However, most of poets get a spiritual communion with nature and a lesson from nature, even though they have different sensibility and perspective to a skylark. The image of a skylark singing in flight excites not only sensibility but various associations such as the arrival of new spring, the early morning in springtime, the peaceful rural scene, the joyful play and singing, longing for a fiance, and so on Especially in Korean poems and lyrics, it is asspciated with barley fields, azaleas, a rural home town, and childhood in a country. Also it represents the peaceful and stable state of mind which the speaker in the poem wishes.

        노치부를 가진 Glass/Epoxy 복합재료의 노치강도 평가와 불안정 파괴조건

        The fracture behavior of plain woven glass/epoxy composite plates with a crack is investigated under static tensile loading. It is shown in this paper that the characteristic length associated with the point stress criterion depends on the crack length. To predict the notched tensile strength, the point stress criterion proposed by Whitney and Nuismer are modified. An excellent agreement is found between the experimental results and the analytical prediction of the modified point stress criterion.<br/> The condition of unstable crack growth in the presence of a pre-existing flaw(machined notch) is examined by means of the maximum stress intensity factor Kmax using maximum load Pmax. The values of Kmax evaluated from energy release rate Gmax(the compliance method) and the standard expression normally used for isotropic materials(the isotropic method) indicate a wide difference. Therefore in regard to anisotropy and heterogeneity of the composite materials studied, the modified shape correction factor f*(a/W) is obtained. Kmax evaluated by the compliance method a little or insignificantly depends on the initial crack length a, the specimen thickness B, the crack angle θ and the specimen geometry.

      • 유기발광소자를 위한 가교형 정공 수송 재료

        차세대 디스플레이 소자로서 상용화된 유기발광소자(OLED)는 현재 진공기반의 증착공정을 통해서 제작되므로 제조공정 비용이 높다. 진공 증착공정을 용액공정으로 교체하면 공정 비용을 크게 절감할 수 있지만, 용액공정으로 다층 박막 구조를 형성하기 어렵다는 문제점이 있다. 다층 구조를 제작할 때 이미 형성된 하부 박막 위에 새로 형성되는 박막이 하부 박막에 영향을 주기 때문이다. 이를 해결하기 위한 방법으로서 용액 공정용 잉크 용매의 내용제성을 증가시켜 상부 박막을 코팅할 때 하부 박막이 용해되거나 손상을 입지 않도록 하는 가교형 소재를 이용한 방법이 있다. 본 원고에서는 OLED 소자를 용액공정으로 제작하기 위한 가교형 정공 수송 재료의 특징과 개발 현황에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

        Role of Media in Bridging Fragmented Community

        스포츠는 지역사회 응집력의 중요한 원천이 될 수 있다. 하지만 동시에 경쟁관계에 있는 스포츠 팀에 대한 상이한 소속감들은 같은 지역사회 구성원들 사이의 분열을 야기하기도 한다. 이러한 맥락에서 지역 저널리즘은 분기된 지역사회를 통합하는 역할을 할 수 있으며, 대승적 차원의 의제설정을 제안할 수 있고, 나아가 지역 구성원들을 하나로 묶는 상호교류를 도울 수 있는 역할을 수행할 수 있다. 본 연구는 지역 신문사들이 대학 스포츠에 대한 보도 속 담론들을 이용하여 구체적으로 어떠한 지역 저널리즘을 추구하고 있는가를 수집하는 데에 목적이 있다. 대학스포츠연맹에 소속된 대학교를 최소 하나 이상 보유하고 있는 미국 내 지역들 중, 무작위로 100개 지역을 선정하고 내용분석을 실시하였다. 수집 및 분석결과, 지역 신문사들이 지역사회를 하나로 묶으려는 노력은 명확하게 도출되었으나, 다수의 대학 팀을 보유한 지역사회에서는 지역 저널리즘으로서의 통합기능 역할이 효과적이라고 평가하기는 부족함이 나타났다. 보다 자세한 이론적 논의와 결과의 함의는 본문 중에서 제시한다. Sports can be a source of social cohesion within a sports community; at the same time, it can obstruct the social bridging process in communities with diverse sports identities. Community journalism can play an integral role in bridging diverse community groups by listening widely to the community, helping to set an agenda, and by facilitating community interaction. This study examines how college sports as community institutions, shape local news media’s efforts to build community. Content analysis was conducted on online and print newspapers in 100 randomly selected communities?each with at least one NCAA affiliated college. Results suggest that the media work to solidify already united sports communities, but in communities with fragmented identities (multiple college teams), media show lack of bridging gaps.         In view of space saving, the design of more compact heat exchangers is important. Also, to meet the demands for saving energy and resources today, manufacturers have tried to enhance efficiency and reduce the size and weight of heat exchangers. Over the past decades, there have been tremendous advancements in the manufacturing technology of high efficiency heat exchangers. This has allowed the use of high performance(high heat transfer coefficient and low pressure drop) heat exchangers. Consequently, the use of high performance heat exchanger becomes popular in the design of heat exchangers. When compared with the well-established shell and tube heat exchangers, the plate heat exchanger shows a lot of advantages like high NTU values, compactness, low cost, multi duties and reduced fouling etc. For the higher performance in plate heat exchanger, the snake pattern in the heat transfer plate has been developed instead of the conventional herringbone pattern. The performance of the plate heat exchanger with snake pattern was evaluated by test, and provided in this paper.
