A fan is the most common air flow machinery and is being used in various different industries such as for heavy machinery, home appliances and automobile. An axial fan has blades that force air to move parallel to the shaft about which the blades rotate. This type of fan is used in a wide variety of applications, ranging from small cooling fans for electronics to the giant fans used in wind tunnels. An axial fan generating large air volume used to cool equipments, but is less efficient. A sirocco fan is a efficient device for moving air by centrifugal force and can generate high pressure. Fans that affect the performance and noise of a product are important components. It is also a time and budget consuming equipment to develop a fan through physical experiments. In order to overcome this problem, we have designed and developed a fan simulator for axial and sirocco fan’s fluid analysis using supercomputer. Performance and noise prediction based on datamining without numerical analyses is also developed for the conceptual design of a fan.
Ti-8Ta-3Nb 합금의 표면처리에 의한 백서 두개관 세포의 반응

Purpose: Ti-6Al-4V alloy is widely used as an implant material because of its good biocompatibility and good mechanical property compared with commercial pure titanium. Otherwise, toxicity of aluminum and vanadium in vivo has been reported. Ti-8Ta-3Nb alloy is recently developed in the R&D Center for Ti and Special Alloys and it was reported that this alloy has high mechanical strength, no cytotoxicity and similar biocompatibility to commercial pure titanium, but many studies are needed for its clinical use. In these experiment, we carried out different surface treatment on each Ti-8Ta-3Nb alloy disks, then cultured cell on it and assessed biological response. Materials and Methods: cpTi, Ti-6Al-4V, Ti-8Ta-3Nb alloy disks were prepared and carried out sandblasting and acid etching (SLA) or alkali-heat treatment (AH) on the Ti-8Ta-3Nb alloy disks. We cultured primary rat calvarial cells on each surface and assessed early cell attachment and proliferation by scanning electron microscopy, cell proliferation, alkaline phosphatase activity. Result: The rates of cell proliferation on the cpTi, Ti-8Ta-3Nb AH disks were higher than others (p<0.05) and alkaline phosphatase activity was significantly enhanced on the Ti-STa-8Nb AH disks(p<0.05). Conclusion: Most favorable cell response was shown on the Ti-8Ta-3Nb AH surfaces. It is supposed that alkali-heat treatment of the Ti-8Ta-3Nb alloy could be induced earlier bone healing and osseointegration than smooth surface.

최근, FPD TV Maker들로부터 Slim을 강조한 모델이 다수 양산되거나, 에너지 절약을 고려한 모델, 넷 접속 기능, Blue-ray와의 일체화 등과 같은 다양한 형태의 TV가 개발/실용화되고 있다. 이러한 TV에 탑재되는 스위칭 전원에 요구되는 성능은, 2007년까지는 TV의 시장가격 하락에 대응하기 위해 저비용화가 중요한 개발 과제이었지만, 최근에는 고효율화나 박형화/소형화의 실현이 강하게 요구되고 있으므로 LCD-TV用 전원 및 PDP-TV用 전원 회로 등에 적합한 파워시스템의 성능 향상이, 매력적인 상품을 성립시키기 위한 매우 중요한 과제로 되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 FPD用 TV의 시장 동향과 초박형 FPD用 TV 전원 회로 기술 및 부품 기술에 대한 기술 동향에 대해 소개 한다.
고온 (750 ~ 850℃) SOFC용 밀봉재의 특성에 미치는 고열팽창계수를 갖는 필러의 영향

In this study, we report that effects of a filler with a high coefficient of thermal expansion on a sealant for high-temperature ($750{\sim}850^{\circ}C$) SOFC. We designed a $SiO_2-BaO-ZnO-B_2O_3-Al_2O_3$ glass system with a softening temperature higher than $750^{\circ}C$. The properties of the glass system show not only low volumetric shrinking but also low swelling. The glass system did not create a crystal phase during along-term heat treatment. We fabricated a seal gasket with 0, 10, 15, and 20 wt% cristobalite added as filler materials with glass powder. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the seal gasket increased according to cristobalite content. During along-term heat treatment, the leak rate decreased by about 5% after a heat treatment in an oxidizing atmosphere at $750^{\circ}C$ for 2000 h, also decreasing by about 6% after a heat treatment in a reducing atmosphere at $750^{\circ}C$ for 1000 h.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to develop a standard case record form (CRF) and to identify the specific biopsychosocial factors influencing a clinical course of patients with alcohol use disorder in Korea. Methods : The CRF was developed with reference to the six-domain assessment of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, taking account of the need for a multifaceted evaluation of alcohol use disorders. We divided Korea into six regions, and the subjects who registered in the first year will be on surveillance for the next three years. Results : We present epidemiological and clinical data from the CRF completed from March to June 2016. In the CRF registration survey, the total number of eligible patients was 247 in the Medical centers, and 193 in community centers for mental health and addiction. Conclusion : The CRF developed for this surveillance can assess a six-domain model, with information taken from patient’s drinking history to social support and quality of life. To my knowledge, this is the first nationwide survey of AUD patients in Korea as conducted by a naturalistic and prospective framework. 누에와 육계 복합 추출물의 in vivo 면역증진 기능성 연구

Objectives : The aim of this study was to investigate the immunopotentiating activity of combine extract that Silkworm and Cinnamomum cassia . Recently, acute epidemic diseases such as cold and viral respiratory diseases have been emerging. So, interested in immunity enhancement has been increasing, and research on natural products to promote immunity activity has been actively conducted. Methods : To confirm the immunopotentiating activity effect, Silkworm (SW), Cinnamomum cassia (CC), and SWCC combined extracts were treated 14 days at 300 ㎎/kg/day. The changes of glutamic oxalacetic transaminase (GOT), glutamic pyruvate transaminase (GPT) in serum were analyzed after experiment. The changes in the total spleen cell number were measured. Immune cells in spleen were analyzed using fluorescence activated cell sorter (FACS). also, analyzed the expression of cytokines in spleen. Results : Total number of cells in the spleen and FACS analysis of T lymphocytes activated in the spleen showed that the SWCC combined treated group had much higher frequency of active cells than both single groups. The ratio of CD4+CD8+, CD4+CD69+ and CD4+CD25+ T cells in spleen, SWCC is higher than other groups except Nor in CD4+, CD4+CD69+, CD4+CD25+ T cells. The results of this study suggest that SWCC can help immune function via IL-2, IL-10, IL-12, IFN-γ cytokine production, increased T lymphocytes and splenocyte proliferation. Conclusion : Therefore, these results suggested that the SWCC combined extracts administration increase stronger immunity enhancement than when SW and CC adminstration.
고속 밀링 가공기에서의 원통형 주축 변위 센서 응용 기술

In this paper, a cylindrical spindle displacement sensor is introduced as a reliable and multi-functional monitoring device in high speed machining application where the conventional tool dynamometer performs poorly unless carefully compensated. With proper identification of force-displacement relation and spindle characteristics, it can monitor cutting force, chatter vibration and provide useful information for roughness prediction or form error compensation.
