Postoperative vertigo after tympanomastoidectomy can be attributed to several causes such as inner ear damage due to excessive ossicle handling, labyrinthitis, BPPV resulting from vibration of drilling, iatrogenic lateral semicircular canal damage, and perilymphtic fistula. Differential diagnosis is critical for the proper management and prognosis of accompanied sensorineural hearing loss, but it may be difficult in some cases. Especially it is quite difficult to distinguish between the serous and suppurative labyrinthitis. In this article we present a case with simultaneous serous labyrinthitis and BPPV. The patient developed whirling vertigo and hearing loss on the 5th day after tympanomastoidectomy. After conservative treatment with steroid and antibiotics, his hearing recovered to preoperative level. We retrospectively reviewed the pitfalls to make a correct diagnosis in this patient and the serial change in nystagmus during the treatment period. The usefullness of the rotation chair test to predict the prognosis of sensorineural hearing loss in labyrinthitis was also discussed. In today's international society, growth and prosperity of a company can be achieved by enhancing international competitiveness. Evaluation technique for international competitiveness between companies is an important part of the methodology for enhancing international competitiveness within a company. Since it is not reasonable to evaluate the entire entity of competitiveness by considering only few aspects of the company, techniques must be developed for competitiveness evaluation by simultaneously considering many aspects of the company. In this article, two such techniques are presented. One select representative competitiveness indices, and the other evaluates competitiveness by utilizing the ranking method.

Neurofibroma arises in the Schwann cells or in the peripheral tissue of nerve sheaths. It usually occurs as a part of neurofibromatosis and occasionally as a solitary lesion, but rarely occurs in the nasal cavity or in the paranasal sinuses. Organized hematoma is a rare solitary benign lesion with locally destructive behavior. It can be formed by the organizing process of hematoma in the unaerated environment. Organized hematoma by intratumoral bleeding has not yet been reported in the sinonasal tract. We recently experienced a case of neurofibroma accompanied by an organized hematoma extending into the maxillary sinus. It was treated successfully by a combination of endoscopic and Caldwell-Luc approach. It was finally confirmed as a neurofibroma containing an organized hematoma by histological and immunohistochemical examinations. Therefore, we present this rare case with a review of the literature.

본 논문에서는 변환영역 기반과 인간의 시각특성을 적용하여 압축에 강한 칼라 영상의 디지털 워터마킹 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 원영상을 RGB 채널로 분리한 후, HVS 특성을 고려하여 명암대비와 텍스처 특징을 분석한 후, 최적의 주파수영역을 선택하여 워터마크를 삽입하였다 전처리 과정은 2D DCT를 사용하였고, 워터마크는 시각적으로 인지가 가능한 특정 로고 형태의 이진 영상을 사용하였다. 외부공격 유형으로 JPEG 압축을 수행하여 실험한 결과, JPEG 압축 $60\%$까지 워터마크의 추출이 가능하였고 $90\%$ 이상의 상관도를 보였다. In this paper. digital watermarking algorithm based on human visual system and transform domain is presented. Firstly, original image is separated into RGB thannels, watermark is embedded into the coefficients of DCT so as to consider a contrast sensitivity and texture degrees. In preprocessing, DCT domain based transform is involved and binary image of visually recognizable patterns is utilized as a watermark. Consequently, experimental results showed that proposed algorithm is robust and imperceptibility such destruction attack as JPEG compression.

본 논문에서는 Java/SWING을 이용한 인터넷 기반의 원격 시험 시스템의 설계와 구현을 제시한다. 본 시스템은 문제를 출제하는 문제 출제부와 문제를 풀이하는 문제 풀이부와 문제 풀이한 결과를 참조할 수 있는 문제 평가부로 구성된다 문제 풀이부는 2-tier 구조를 갖는 자바 애플리케이션으로 문제 풀이부와 평가부는 3-tier 구조를 갖는 자바 애플릿으로 구현한다. 데이터베이스의 처리는 Java의JDBC API를 이용하여 프로그래밍함으로써 특정 데이터베이스 시스템에 의존하지 않고 범용의 데이터베이스 처리가 되도록 한다. 본 논문에서의 원격 시험 시스템은 각종 성적 평가를 위하여 이용할 수 있으며, 기존의 필기 시험의 대치 또는 인터넷에 기반한 설문조사를 시행하는 시스템으로의 전환도 가능하여 다양한 분야에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. This paper presents an implementation of an Remote Examination System on Internet using Java and SWING GUI API. The system is consisted of three parts: generating examination part that is Java application, answering questions part that is Java Applet, reviewing results part that is Java Applet. The first part is implemented with the 2-tier client/server architecture and the last two parts is implemented the 3-tier client/server architecture. Database programming is done using Java JDBC API for database independence and portability. This system can be used the evaluation of lectures, and substituted for pen-and-pencil examinations or adopted to survey applications based on Internet.
