Dae Gon The study was conducted to investigate the effect of breed, sex on fatty acid compostition. Hanwoo and Holstein used, in the study were classified by sex. The results are summarized as follows ; Oleic acid and unsaturated fatty acids(UFA) percentages of total fatty acids in Hanwoo were higher than in Holstein, but palmitic acid and saturated fatty acids(SFA) were lower in Hanwoo. Oleic acid in steers of Hanwoo and Holstein tended to increase compared with bulls. Oleic acid in rib loin and top round were considerably higher in Hanwoo steers than in Holstein steers. In Hanwoosteers, oleic acid and UFA tended to increased while stearic acid and SFA decreased as marbling degree increased.

구조물의 내진 성능 향상을 위해 현재 종종 사용되어지고 있는 기초분리장치인 적층고베어링과 납-고무 베어링의 내진성능을 실험적으로 파악하였다 베어링의 전단 변형률 또는 가해진 수직 하중이 클수록 베어링의 전단 강성은 감소하며 가력 속도에 대한 영향을 무시할 만하다. 베어링은 순수압축력에는 강하며 인장력에는 그 반대이다. Experimental studies for the laminated elastomeric bearing and the lead-rubber bearing, those are often used to improve the seismic capacity of the structures recently, are conducted to evaluate the seismic capacity of the bearings. The shear stiffness of the bearings decreases as the shear strain amplitude or the constant axial load level increases, but not sensitive to the strain rates effect. Bearings are strong for the axial compression but weak for the axial tension.

고무제품에 근간을 둔 면진장치는 상당한 저온효과와 약간의 변형도 속도효과를 보여준다. 면진장치의 비탄성거동에 영향을 미치는 이들의 속성은 면진장치의 거동을 정확히 모델링하기 위해 반드시 고려되어져야 하기 때문에, 고무와 납 모두에 영향을 미치는 저온효과와 변형도 속도효과를 고려할 수 있는 해석모델을 제시하였다. 얼린 면진장치를 일정 수직하중에서 수평방향 반복하중을 가한 실험결과들로부터 시스템 식별(SI : system identification)을 적용하여 해석모델에 필요한 고무와 납의 매개변수들을 구하였다. 제안된 해석모델은 면진장치의 거동을 유사하게 표현할 수 있음을 보여준다. Rubber bearings may exhibit a significant cold temperature effect and some velocity dependency(strain rate effect). Both of these attributes which affect non-linear behavior must be accounted for when accurately modeling the bearings behavior, therefore, an analytical models is proposed to consider the effects of the cold temperature and strain rate on both rubber and lead. From the results of an experimental investigation where the frozen bearings were tested under lateral cyclic loading with constant axial load, a non-linear system identification with least squares procedure was applied to determine the material properties of rubber and lead. It is demonstrated that the proposed analytical model is able to simulate the reversed cyclic loading behavior of elastometric and lead-rubber bearings.
전기자극 처리가 한우육의 육색 및 지방산화에 미치는 영향

The effects of electrical stimulation on lipid peroxidation and meat color were determined in Korean beef stored at 5℃. Electrically stimulated(ES) meat and Non electrically stimulated(NES) meat were homogenized with distilled water. The degree of lipid peroxidation in ES meat was not significantly different from that in NES meat until 10 days of storage(P$gt;0.05), but TBARS(thiobarbituric acid reactive substances) value and Fe^(2+) ion in ES meat were higher than those in NES meat at 15 days of storage, indicating that ES resulted in more free iron(Fe^(2+)) from binding iron. However, there was little difference in the amount of total iron between ES and NES meat during the 5℃ storage(P$lt;0.05). Carnosine contents also tended to be decreased with time, and it showed little degadation of camosine as antioxidant. Heme pigment gradually tended to be increased during the storage at 5℃, but L value(Lightness) of ES meat was higher than that of NES for one day. However, L value tended to be decreased with time after 5 days of storage. The a value(Redness) of ES meat also had the same tendancy as L value of ES meat. Overall, ES meat color was kept more bright red than NES meat color, but they were not significantly different(P$gt;0.05).

Objective: A new blind intubation device (BID) has been developed for endotracheal intubation. This study aimed to test the usability of the BID in comparison to direct laryngoscopy (DL) and video laryngoscopy (VL) with inexperienced healthcare providers for endotracheal intubation. Methods: This was a randomized crossover simulation study. Participants who had conducted fewer than five live intubation sessions were included in the study. The manikin simulation was conducted using a Laerdal trainer airway manikin. Participants performed intubation using all three devices, DL, VL, and BID. The primary outcome was intubation success rate in the first pass the secondary outcome was intubation time to first ventilation, and the tertiary outcome was dental injury. Results: A total of 45 healthcare workers who were novices in intubation participated in this study, including 13 physicians (interns), 14 emergency medical technicians, and 18 nurses. The intubation success rates in the first pass with BID, DL, and VL were 93.3%, 91.1%, and 97.8%, respectively (P=0.53). The intubation times to first ventilation with BID, DL, and VL were 13.15±6.16, 19.07±7.71, and 17.31±6.57 seconds, respectively (P<0.01). The proportions of dental injuries associated with BID, DL, and VL were 0% for physicians; 28.6%, 14.3%, and 0%, respectively for emergency medical technicians; and 27.8%, 11.1%, and 16.7%, respectively for nurses. Conclusion: We performed a pilot study to test the usability of the new BID. There was no significant difference in intubation success rate in the first pass among BID, DL, and VL. The intubation time to first ventilation was shorter with the BID compared to DL and VL.
