The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of stabilization occlusal splint by using a simplified condylar path recorder and a dental sound checker. For this study, 11 subjects (10 men and 1 woman) with TMJ disorder were selected from students at Chosun University, School of Dentistry. And they were treated with the stabilization occlusal splint. The condylar movement and the TMJ sound of each subject were recorded and analyzed by using a simplified condylar path recorder and a dental sound checker. The obtained results were as follows: 1. No statistically significant reduction of reduced PRI scores occurred before and immediately after wearing of stabilization occlusal splint. 2. The reduced PRI scores after wearing of stabilization occlusal splint showed statistically significant reduction with the lapse of time. 3. After stabilization occlusal splint therapy, Fisher angle and Bennett angle had almost no change. 4. TMJ sound disappeared in 4 out of 11 subjects.

Statement of problem: Implant screw loosening has been remained problem in restorative practices. Surface treatment of screw plays a role of preventing screw from loosening in implant screw mechanism. Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate surface characteristics of TiN and ZrN film ion plated screw with titanium and gold alloy screw and to evaluate wear resistance, surface roughness, and film adhesion on screw surface using various instruments. Material and methods : GoldTite screws and titanium screws provided by 3i (Implant Innovation, USA) and TorqTite screws or titanium screws by Steri-Oss (Nobel Biocare, USA) and gold screws and titanium screws by AVANA (Osstem Implant, korea) were selected. Ion plating which is much superior to other surface modification techniques was carried out for gold screws and titanium screws using Ti and Zr coating materials with nitrogen gas. Ion nitrided surface of each abutment screw was observed with field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM, micro-diamond scratch tester, vickers hardness tester, and surface roughness tester. Results : 1) The surface of gold screw and GoldTite is more smooth than ones of other kinds of non coated screw. 2) The ZrN and TiN coated surface is the more smooth than ones of other kinds of screw. 3) The hardness of TiN and ZrN coated surface showed higher than that of non coated surface. 4) The TiN coated titanium screw and ZrN coated gold screw have a good wear resistance and adhesion on the surface. 5) The surface of ZrN coated screw showed low surface roughness compared with the surface of TiN coated screw. Conclusion : It is considered that the TiN and ZrN coated screw which would prevent a screw from loosening can be applicable to implant system and confirmed that TiN and ZrN film act as lubricant on surface of screw due to decrease of friction for recycled tightening and loosening.

This study is how compressive strength of concrete to influence the shear behavior of reinforced concrete beam without web reinforcement. For this study, the compressive strength of concrete and admixture ratio are variable factors and the compressive strength of concrete is classified into three series - 250㎏/㎠(L-Series), 350㎏/㎠(M-Series), 600㎏/㎠(H-Series) - from low-strength to high-strength. In every series, cross section, compressive strength, longitudinal steel ratio and shear span to depth ratio are constant and admixture ratio is divided into two types and displacement control. After precise observing the evolution of crack, failure strength, measuring shear cracking strength, ultimate shear strength and performance of the mixed steel fiber to increase tension stress, their outcomes are analyszed and synthesized.

A recent research, conducted among architectural designers all over the country, indicates that they felt short of design substance for the department of radiation and needed the architectural study of the protection from the radioactive leak. Thus, this study is focused on the problems occurring in the area of the designing of the department of radiation, and asked radioactive experts about the protection against the radio-active leak. We confirmed the safety of diagnostic radiation in Kwangju through measurement of its leakage dose.

The purpose of this study is to develop a model of Earned Value Management System for construction projects. The proposed EVMS to control and manage the construction costs considering drawings and workspace in addition to the typical construction resources(materials, labor, and equipment). Earned Value Method is studied to implement the integration of cost, schedule management. The government-proposed WBS and other breakdown structures are reviewed to define relative contract activities, administration activities based on construction activities. A set of resources such as construction materials, equipment, labours, drawing, and workspace are also defined in order to formulate a implementation process and estimate workload for a construction project. Relationship among the breakdown structures are placed in order. Sets of administration activities and contract activities are proposed along with the implementation process.
