In the video data processing utilizing wireless communication is a situation with a large amount of data transmission, communication costs excessive, communication distance limit, communication equipment construction and management costs increase disbursed. In this study, the broadcaster developed a server system for the station system for the radio modem, repeater and idle channel frequency connection and data management for the terminal equipment for data collection using the TVWS (Television White Space) frequency band that is not used by the broadcaster. This technology is free of data communication costs, medium and long distance communication is possible, except for maintenance costs compared to conventional wireless communication equipment, and it is possible to send images and texts through the data speed of 20Mbps level.

노후산업단지 출근 통행 모형 분석을 통한 수단 전이 잠재성에 관한 연구

PURPOSES: The purpose of this study is to examine public transport service indexes to deal with traffic congestion problems that occur in old industrial complexes during peak hours in an attempt to shift personal car-oriented transportation to public transit-oriented transportation. METHODS : We developed several models to evaluate the effect of public transport service indexes on worke’s mode choice using two primary parameters: overall bus service frequency in old industrial complexes and accessibility to bus stops. Ten old industrial complexes were selected to conduct the survey of workers’commuting patterns. From the survey, personal and travel time attributes were collected and used to estimate a binary logistic model with public transport service parameters. RESULTS : As a result, the mode choice model including the overall bus service frequency variable, better explains than other models indicating providing more frequent bus services to workers in the old industrial complexes can attract them to shift their travel mode to bus transit from personal car. Results can be applied to corresponding city’s bus transit service policy decisions. CONCLUSIONS: In this study, it was possible to estimate the variation of mode choice ratio according to the change of the public transport index, and the mode choice variation by each individual industrial complex can be expected to examine in the further study.

Background : There have been many studies and efforts about quality management in health services, but these were not focused on the thinking ability of the personnel. In this study. We planned to define the relationship between Quality Management(QM) and thinking skill, and analyzed critical thinking skill and problem solving ability of the nurses for QM in healthcare. Methods : We surveyed 260 nurses in 3 hospitals by using questionnaires about thinking skills and QM from November 18 to 28. 1998. The response rate was /6.9%. We described and analyzed the data by descriptive statistics, t-test. ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and non-parametric Friedman test using SPSS Win 7.5. Results : This study revealed that 1) understanding level of QM concepts was very low and insufficient, 2) willingness to practice QM in healthcare was relatively high and affirmative, but the positive attitude taking part in the program of QM is very low(4.5%). 3) even though the necessity of QM was recognized, actual application of critical thinking skills and problem solving abilities is lacking, 4) the production of idea for QM was the most insufficient, and so the next of the problem solving process(QA cycle) was the same. Conclusion : Based on the above results, we can conclude that understanding the concepts of QM is very important to solve problems about QM in healthcare. For development of thinking skill to promote critical problem solving ability for QM in healthcare, it is necessary to improve curriculum of nursing education and teaching-learning methods of QM strategy and technique.

There are varied individual differences in age, intelligence, ability, motivation, prior knowledge, learning strategy, etc. among college students, it is necessary for educators to design and implement effective teaching-learning strategy increasing problem solving ability of their students. The purpose of this study is to provide a review of literature regarding individualized instruction, develop the program focused on self-directed learning, and examine the effects of it. According to the literature review, the exploratory individualized instruction program focused on self-directed learning conducted to nursing students for the first semester of this year. Eighty four second-year students enrolled in a medical terminology in nursing course, were classified two group according to alphabetical order of their names. Forty four students were controlled group, and forty students were experimental group. The results of this study indicate that there was no significant difference statistically in the means on achievement test scores for the experimental and control groups. But the individualized instruction program focused on self-directed learning is effective to nursing students qualitatively, and so they are able to increase their problem solving ability through teaching-learning processes. Recommendations for the application of this program to the college students are : firstly, it is necessary to improve curriculum, school regulation, credit system and educational affairs, and put into operation them for the students' convenience in teaching and learning process; secondly, instructional materials, educational equipment and facilities are amplified and remodeled for practical use; thirdly, it is desirable to increase supplement of personnel(resource personnel, an assistant instructor) for better actualization of individualized instruction.

Nurses in today's challenging health care settings need to be skilled critical thinkers and clinical experts. The nurse must be able to use a broad knowledge base to mobilize resources, coordinate actions and evaluate outcomes in complex new situations. So the national licensing examination for registered nurses is change to improve the duality of professional competency of nurses in Korea. Prior to this, learning objectives should be developed and improved periodically. The purpose of this study is to describe the nursing competency to provide base line data for developing learning objectives in adult health nursing. This study was conducted by means of a questionnaire which was developed by the researcher after reviewing the literature. The questionnaire was based on learning objectives which were developed by a nation-wide nursing faculty majoring in adult health nursing. The subjects were 45 nurses in a middle level hospital. The collected data were treated using SPSS Win 7.5 Statistical Package so as to obtain such descriptive statistics as mean score, frequency, and to test reliability test, nonpar-Friedman test. To summarize the major findings in this study, it showed the scope of nursing competency and can guide the direction of study and methodological criteria to develop learning objectives. Recommendations for further research are: firstly, it is necessary to state learning objectives with learners' behavioral terminology ; secondly to overcome locality in scope of this study, there is a need to analyze with nation-wide sampling by an in-depth statistical analysis; thirdly, because the subjects of this study are mostly three-year graduate nurses, there is a need to compare this study with other studies of different subjects.
