흰쥐의 골 결손 치유 반응에서 MMP-13의 발현에 대한 Hyaluronic Acid의 영향

목적: Matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-13은 연골의 주성분인 Type Ⅱ collagen에 대한 분해 작용을 가지는 효소로서 골모세포나 비후 연골세포에서 발현되는 것으로 알려져 있으나 상세한 작용은 아직 불명확한 점이 많다. 본 연구의 목적은 외인성 하이알유론산이 골결손 치유과정에서 MMP-13의 발현에 영향을 주는가를 알아보는 데에 있었다. 대상및 방법 : 성숙 흰쥐의 대퇴골 과간부에 골결손을 만들고 실험군에는 하이알유론산를 주입하였으며 대조군에서는 약물의 주입 없이 시술 후 2주에 골결손부의 가골을 채취하여 조직학적 검사 및 실시간 reverse transcription polymeric chain reaction (RT-PCR)을 이용하여 MMR-13의 발현을 알아보았다. 결과: 조직학적으로 실험군은 대조군에 비하여 활발한 유골조직의 형성과 골모세포의 증식을 보여주었다. 실시간 RT-PCR의 결과는 실험군에서 대조군에 비해 MMR-13의 발현이 유의하게 적었다. 결론: 외인성 하이알유론산은 골결손의 초기 치유반응에서 MMP-13의 발현을 억제하는 것으로 보인다. Purpose : Matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-13 has a degradation effect on type II collagen and is expressed in osteoblastic cells and hypertrophic chondrocytes. However, the role of MMP-13 is not completely understood. This study investigated the effect of exogenous Hyaluronic acid (HA) on the expression of MMP-13 in the healing process of bone defects. Materials and Methods: After making a bone defect in the metaphysis of the distal femur in rats, HA was instilled into the defect in the experimental group. In the control group, a bone defect was made but HA was not instilled. Two weeks after the experiment, the rats were sacrificed and the callus that filled the bone defects was obtained. A histological examination and real time reverse transcription polymeric chain reaction (RT-PCR) were performed to investigate the healing response and expression of MMP-13. Results : Histologically, the proliferation of osteoblasts and the formation of osteoid were more active in the experimental group. Nevertheless, the level of MMP-13 expression was significantly lower in the experimental group than in the control group. Conclusion : From the results of this study, it appears that exogenous HA inhibits the expression of MMP-13 at the early stage of bone healing.
Cox의 비례위험모형을 이용한 중소건설기업의 생존요인분석

Liquidity crisis expedites the change in the environment of construction industry and puts small size construction enterprises in danger of mass bankruptcy. This study analyzed that the relationship between the financial characteristics of the small size enterprises and their survival period as well as survival factors using Cox proportional hazards model. The result shows that Return On Equity(ROE), gross profit on sales, debt dependence and total property showing enterprise scale, turned out to be important survival factors. Small and medium size construction enterprises should strive to enhance their capacity to deal with the abrupt change in the outside situation in order to sustain the business. In addition, improvement in the financial structure of the company, support from financial institutions as well as from the government, and incessant analysis of the factors affecting the survival of the construction enterprises are needed.

Although the housing tenure choice has been one of the main research topics in housing studies for a long time, there have been little empirical researches that focused on regional area in Korea. However, as a substantial decentralization of population in the capital region is expected under government policy which includes relocation of public agencies and development of regional innovation cities, it is more needed to understand migration behavior and housing choice in regional areas. This paper studied the effects of household characteristics on housing choice based on the logistic regression analysis using Chungcheong regional data of Housing Condition Survey, and gave various implications for further research from the empirical results of analysis.
HPLC용 Schiff Base 컬럼과 Glow Discharge 검출기의 개발에 관한 기초연구 I

본 연구는 중금속 이온의 신속한 현장분석을 위하여 HPLC용 Schiff Base 컬럼과 Glow Discharge 검출기의 개발에 관한 연구결과를 정리한 것이다. 현재 사용한 컬럼의 소재로는 hydrazide Schiff base 리간드인 N, N'-oxalybis(salicylaldehydrazone) (OBSH), N, N'-malonylbis (salicylaldehydrazone) (MBSH), 그리고 N, N'-succinylbis(salicylaldehydrazone) (SBSH)들과 HPLC 컬럼용 고분자 수지인 poly(styrene divinylbenzene)를 혼합하여 그 특성을 관찰하고 앞으로의 HPLC용 컬럼으로서의 응용성을 살펴보았다. 다음으로 중금속 이온들의 효과적인 검출을 수행할 수 있는 검출기의 필요성에 따라 현재 본 연구실에서 새로 개발한 Hollow Cathode Glow Discharge-Atomic Emission Spectrometry(HCGD-AES)를 사용하여 금속이온의 검출을 수행하였다. 이때 리간드-수지 혼합 컬럼을 통하여 용리된 용리액 중의 구리, 루비듐, 납, 수은 등의 금속이온 검출을 시도하였고, 실험결과를 토대로 Schiff Base를 사용한 컬럼이 금속이온에 따라 선택성을 보여 주고 있음을 살필 수 있었다. 또한 금속이온의 검출을 위한 HPLC용 검출기의 개발을 글로우 방전을 이용하여 추진하고 있으며 이에 대한 기초실험 결과를 정리하였다. Schiff base ligand columns and glow discharge detector have been developed for the trace analysis of metal ions desolved in water. Various types of hydrazide Schiff base ligands have been used and, additionally, they were examined as a filling material of a HPLC column. The hydrazide Schiff base ligands used were N, N'-oxalybis(salicylaldehydrazone) (OBSH), N, N'-malonylbis(salicylaldehydrazone) (MBSH), and N, N'-succinylbis(salicylaldehydrazone) (SBSH). A mixture of Schiff base ligand and poly(styrene divinylbenzene) was examined and it showed a smooth flow of solution. The OBSH-polymer column demonstrated different effluent factors for different metal ions. Metal ions in eluates were detected by Hollow Cathode Glow Discharge-Atomic Emission Spectrometry(HCGD-AES). HCGD-AES showed good sensitivity and selectivity. This is only the preliminary results of new OBSH-polymer column and glow discharge detector.
