      • Hypoxia induced activation of CXCR4 by aberrant promoter demethylation in lung cancer

        As a cancer stem cell marker, CXCR4 has been known to be closely associated with tumor progression, angiogenesis, metastasis and poor prognosis. Increased expression of CXCR4 by hypoxic condition has been implicated in several types of cancers. We investigated whether hypoxic stress could induce CXCR4 expression by its promoter demethylation in lung cancer. Normal lung cell (BEAS-2B) and lung cancer cell lines (A549, H292, H226 and H460) were incubated under hypoxic condition. To analyze CXCR4 expression, RT-PCR and western blot were performed. To determine whether CXCR4 was reactivated, cell lines were treated with a DNA methyltransferase inhibitor (AZA). Hypoxia-induced DNA demethylation was identified by methylation-specific PCR (MSP). The role of CXCR4 was examined using siRNA transfection. Stem cell characteristics were assessed by sphere formation assay, wound healing assay, Matrigel invasion assay and in vivo mice tumor model. CXCR4 was increased more in hypoxic condition than in normoxic condition. CXCR4 was reactivated by treatment with AZA. MSP showed decreased CXCR4 promoter methylation in hypoxic condition compared with normoxic condition. Functional stem cell assay indicated that hypoxic stress and CXCR4 increased sphere formation, Matrigel invasion and in vivo mice tumor formation. These results suggest that hypoxia induces stem cell characteristics which are related with CXCR4 reactivation by promoter demethylation.         12주간의 복합운동형태가 중년여성의 신체조성변화와 혈중지질에 미치는 영향

        This study intended to investigate the effects of two training programs, Multiple aerobics and Multiple Yoga stretches, on the changes in body composition and the Blood lipid. The experiment was carried out on two obese female adult groups trained 3 times per week for 12 weeks. In order to analyze the differences of respective group members' achievements of respective training programs, the study introduced paired sample t-test. The study also intended to test the proposed hypothesis by setting the significance level of one-way ANOVA at α=.05, for the purpose of figuring out the difference of the two groups' achievements. From the experiment, the study generated the following results: First, the effect of respective training programs on respective group members' body composition changes including those of body weights, body fat percentages and the sizes of body parts, produced a significant result of p<.05. Second, as for the difference between the two groups in the effectiveness of respective training programs, the Yoga stretches group showed more effectiveness in basal metabolism rates and the sizes of body parts than aerobics. Third, the test showed no significant result as to the effect of respective training programs on respective group members' sub-variables of the Blood lipid including TC, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C; Nor did it as to the difference between the two groups in sub-variables of the Blood lipid including TC, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C from the aspect of the effectiveness of the programs. From these results, the study concluded that the 12-week training programs, Multiple aerobics and Multiple Yoga stretches, achieved a significant result of a positive effect on obese females' changes in body compositions; but they made no significant effect on their Blood lipid.

      • 창원지역 남자 중학생의 학교생활적응과 행복도 실태조사

        The purpose of this study is to research and understand school life adaptation and happiness of ’A’ male middle school students in Changwon. In summary, firstly, the higher their grade was, the better they adapted to school. Especially among the subfactors of school life adaptation, good feelings and affinity for school teachers were higher among students in the 3rd grade than in the 1st grade. Secondly, 3rd graders' happiness was higher than 1st graders' happiness. Thirdly, the better students adapted to school life, the happier they were. Lastly, the result of this study could explain happiness of students in order of school life, school friends and school teachers among the subfactors of school life adaptation, while an academic factor couldn't explain happiness of students.

        하이메 아욘 공간의 비일상적 특성 연구

        (연구배경 및 목적)현대인들은 현대의 산업화된 환경 속에서 안정과 풍요를 추구하며 살아가고 있지만, 동시에 권태로움을 느껴 비일상을 찾으려는 시도가 계속되고 있다. 이러한 일상과 비일상의 조화를 통해 삶의 긍정적 가치가 극대화되는 효과를 얻을 수 있을 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 하이메 아욘 공간의 비일상적 특성에 대해 분석함으로써 현대의 비일상적 공간에 대한 연구와 계획에 활용할 수 있는 자료로 제시하는 것에 연구의 목적을 둔다. (연구방법)본 연구에서는 앙리 르페브르의 `일상성`에 의거하여 비일상을 정의하고 전용(Appropriation)의 원리를 통해 스토리텔링, 추상표현, 탈상징에 의한 비일상 공간의 유형을 새롭게 도출하였다. 또한 다른 디자이너들의 아홉 가지 실내 공간 사례를 선정해 그 유형을 분석한 후 혼성성, 연속성, 은유성, 탈경계성, 비선형성, 유기성, 탈기능성, 이질성, 유희성의 아홉 가지 키워드를 도출하였다. 마지막으로 도출된 키워드를 하이메 아욘의 다섯 가지 실내 및 전시 공간에 대입하여 결과를 제시하였다. (결과)하이메 아욘 공간의 비일상적 특성은 스토리텔링에 의해 가장 두드러지게 나타났다. 그가 부여한 이야기와 테마는 공간 전체에 걸쳐 서사적으로 전개되었으며, 이야기에 상응한 오브제와 색채를 적극적으로 사용함으로써 테마를 유추할 수 있게 구성하였다. 또한 추상표현에 의한 비일상은 현실과 비현실을 넘나드는 탈경계성과 비선형성에서 주로 나타났으며 가장 적은 비중을 차지하는 것은 유기성의 표현이었다. 탈상징에 의한 비일상에서는 형태적 측면에서의 이질성이 탈기능에 의한 것보다 더 크게 드러났으며, 이질성의 자극에서 오는 시각적 유희성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. (결론)이에 본 연구에서는 하이메 아욘의 비일상적 공간이 스토리텔링 요소의 시각적 표현들을 가장 크게 드러내는 것으로 분석되었으며 특히 이야기와 테마에서 비롯된 시간과 재료적 혼성이 두드러지는 것으로 나타났다. 추상 표현은 공간의 구성요소가 아닌 장식요소에 주로 드러났으며, 탈상징의 특성 중 기능의 부분 역시 장식요소에 편중되어 있는 양상을 보이고 있지만 연속적으로 배치된 비일상적 오브제를 통해 기존의 공간이 갖고 있는 통념에서 벗어나는 작용을 하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 비일상적 공간의 경험과 시도들을 통해 일상지각의 확장을 꾀할 수 있을 것이며 앞으로 계획되어질 현대 실내 공간에 비일상적 특성을 적용시켜 일상적 공간에서의 일탈과 잠재성을 경험하고, 새로운 감성과 가치를 공유할 수 있는 환경이 제공되길 바란다. 또한, 이 분야의 지속적인 연구와 개발을 통해 현대의 일상적 공간에 비일상에 함의된 정신적 가치를 더함으로써 비약적 진화를 가져오리라 기대한다. (Background and Purpose)People live in an industrial environment that compels them to pursue stability and prosperity. The simultaneous weariness that comes from it pushes people to escape their everyday routines. When “everydayness” and “non-everydayness” create harmony, optimism in life will be amplified. Against this background, this study analyzed the everyday and non-everyday characteristics of Jaime Hayon`s interior designs to provide information that can be applied to future studies and projects related to modern non-everyday interior. (Methods)A novel category of space based on storytelling, abstract portrayal, and non-everydayness was drawn based on Henri Lefebvre`s `non-everydayness` and theory of appropriation. The category and characteristics of non-everyday space were applied to present the results. By analyzing the category of nine selected modern interior cases, nine key words were drawn: blendedness, continuity, metaphor, transcendence, non-linearity, organic, non-functionality, heterogeneity, and playfulness. Results were drawn by applying the non-everydayness categories and characteristics to Hayon`s space designs. (Results)The non-everydayness in Hayon`s work was best shown through his storytelling. The story and theme bestowed to space design is descriptively displayed throughout his work, with the active use of objects and colors that help viewers detect the theme. In addition, the abstract portrayal of non-everydayness is often shown through the transcendence of the boundary between reality and non-reality and non-linearity. The least shown is the portrayal of the organic. Non-everydayness from escaping symbols presents significantly more heterogeneity than that from escaping function. The visual pleasure that comes from such stimuli seemed to be high. (Conclusion)This study revealed that Hayon`s non-everyday space showed visual portrayals of storytelling elements most highly. Time and materials stemming from the story and theme stood out in a highly blended manner. Abstract portrayal was mostly shown in the decorative elements rather than the space elements as were the functional elements of the non-symbolic characteristics; these tendencies were found to move cognition away from the common existing notion of space through the consecutive arrangement of everyday objects. The results of the study showed that everyday experiences can be expanded through such non-everyday space experiences and experiments, and can help create future environments where the novel sensation and value of non-everydayness in modern interior can be experienced and shared. I hope to see rapid progress in this field through continuous research and development by adding the spiritual value that is embedded within non-everydayness into the modern everyday living space.

        Air polution is geting serious as the number of users of automobiles increases more than public transportation. Especialy, the ultrafine dust coming from the exhaust gas into the diesel car has a great influence on the human body. In this paper, we have studied a method of cleaning indoor air using titanium dioxide( ), a photocatalyst. Therefore, this experiment makes a fine dust control device using photocatalyst and changes the iluminance of LED light and wind sped. The control efect of ultrafine dust generated in diesel cars is examined by using this.

        Recently, indoor air pollution is increasing. The cause is automobile exhaust gas, factory soot, fine dust and dust, and to develop indoor air people generally uses chemical method and biological method. A chemical method to improve indoor air is used by titanium dioxide (TiO?.), which is a photocatalyst material to purify once with light, and the biological method uses air purifying plants to purify fine dust and the other air pollution material.

        Background: The down-regulation of microRNA subsets could imply a tumor suppressor function, which is often observed in tumor development. MicroRNA-137 has been found to be down-regulated in colorectal cancer, glioblastoma multiforme, oral cancer, and squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck. Some recent studies show that DNA methylation contributes to down-regulation of microRNA-137 during tumorigenesis. The purpose of the study was to investigate the significance of microRNA-137 promoter methylation in lung cancer. Methods: Several lung cancer cell lines were treated with DNA methyltransferase inhibitor (5-Aza) and/or HDAC inhibitor (trichostatin A) whether microRNA-137 could be reactivated. From pared tumor and adjacent non-tumor lung tissues, real-time RT-PCR for the microRNA-137 expression, quantitative methylation specific PCR for the methylation analysis, and bisulfite modified DNA sequencing for the validation were used for the study. Results: MicroRNA-137 was reactivated by treatment with DNA methyltransferase inhibitor (5-Aza) and/or HDAC inhibitor (trichostatin A) in lung cancer cell lines. Quantitative methylation specific PCR showed increased MIR137 promoter methylation in lung cancer tissues compared with adjacent non-tumor tissues, which was further validated with bisulfite sequencing.
