      • 관절경을 이용한 반월상연골 낭종의 치료

        Recent studies suggest that most meniscal cysts can be treated surgically by arthroscopic management of the meniscal tear and arthroscopic cyst evacuation. But arthroscopic cyst decompression may sacrifice a substantial amount of meniscal tissue that is not torn in order to expose the "stalk" of the cyst. Nowadays, the trend is changing as preserving the involved meniscus to prevent from inevitable degenerative changes after meniscectomy. The purpose of this report is to describe a new surgical technique that minimizes loss of meniscal tissue in hopes of maximizing residual meniscal function. We experienced 10 patients with meniscal cysts that were consisted of four lateral cysts and six medial cysts. Menisci were torn in all cases. Arthroscopic partial meniscectomy and decompression of cysts were performed in 9 cases, and arthroscopic partial meniscectomy and open cystectomy in 1 case. The procedures were consisted of injection of the methylene blue into the cyst, partial meniscectomy of the meniscal tear until the dye was seen in orifice of the cyst, and decompression of cyst through cystic opening. This article serves to confirm the relationship between torn menisci and cysts, to re-evaluate the occurrence ratio of the meniscal cyst on the medial to lateral meniscus, and to assess the efficacy of arthroscopic partial meniscectomy and decompression of cyst as a potentially meniscal sparing procedure.

      • 자율적 테스트를 위한 VLSI의 테스터블 설계

        In this pater, new design method for VLSI fault test are proposed by using built-in self test technique. The ordering algorithm for effective test pattern generation and the design method multi-input signature analysis for improving the fault detection capability are suggested. Also, a new multi-function BILBO(Built In Logic Block Observer) is sugested to reduce the hardware. By involbing the latch of sequential circuit into the BILBO, Built In Self Test can be executed effectively. The above proposed multifunctional BILBO was designed to operate both at a test pattern generator and a signature analyzer for reduction of the additional circuit and test time. Moreover, by using input and output line of multifunctional BILBO as a common, the external terminal are saved and the internal chip wiring can be done easily, and also the propagation delay of data signal is not ocurred. Through the implementation of test pattern generation and reordering and algorithm and multifunctional BILBO with C-language on the VAX 11/750(UNIX) computer, the efficienty of algorithm and the availability of designed method are verified.

        줄기 세포를 이용한 연골의 재생

        Articular cartilage defect rarely heals spontaneously due to its avascularity and low cellularity. Even small articular cartilage defects can develop into osteoarthritis, and subsequently, its management has been a major clinical concern. Although there are several treatment options for cartilage defect, no treatment has been established as a gold standard procedure. Bone marrow stimulation techniques which is equivalent to microfracture these days has been adapted as first line treatment, attributed to their technical easiness and minimal invasiveness to patients. However, this procedure has limitation in reproducing hyaline cartilage, so recent cell-based therapies using autologous chondrocytes or mesenchymal stem cells have drawn particular attention. MSCs regardless of its origin have shown significant potential for chondrogenesis. Novel approaches using MSCs as an alternative cell source for patient derived chondrocytes are currently on trial. In this review, stem cells from various origins considered as cell sources and potential application of mesenchymal stem cells to promote cartilage repair will be discussed. While differentiation of stem cell can be well controlled in vitro, it is not easy to predict the course of differentiation when the stem cell is transplanted. Some novel methods using physical stimulation and material based techniques for differentiation control are introduced in this context. Such differentiation control will be beneficial when it is adapted before ransplantation. We call it preconditioning.

      • 신경회로망을 이용한 사출공정 모델링

        Neural network, useful for describing the relationship between multiple-inputs and multiple-outputs, was applied to model injection molding process. In this paper, neural network has the three layered feed-forward perceptron composed of input, hidden, and output layers. Input layer was assigned by the processing parameters such as filling time, melted-resin temperature, holding pressure, holding time, and coolant temperature. Output layer predicted the following characteristics of molded parts: the variance of linear shrinkage(VLS), the difference of warpage(DWP), and the deviation of sink index(DSI). At the simulation experiment using C-MOLD package, the tables of orthogonal arrays were used, in which the three-level experiment reduced markedly the modeling error due to the consideration of nonlinearity of the injection molding process. The results of neural network were compared to those of regression equation for the evaluation of the modeling by neural network on the injection molding process.

        An In-depth Study of Cultural Content Development Focused on (Imwongyeongjeji) of Seo Yugu

        Cultural contents refer to all kinds of intangible assets enjoyed by people intellectually and emotionally that represent culture. They are “products of creation” and the “process” that completes the understanding of creation, practice, and cultural differences. Therefore, quality contents are those that converge various fields of knowledge, are popular, and satisfy sensibility and intelligence. Confucius, the creator of East Asian humanism, greatly influenced the philosophy of uisikju (food, clothing, and shelter, the most basic human needs) and the diet of the late Joseon period. His influence is evident in various aspects of the time, for example, from the seonbi (virtuous scholars in the Joseon dynasty) and Confucianism to the perception of food during the Joseon dynasty. Jeongjoji, one of the books of the great encyclopedia “Imwongyeongjeji” written by Seo Yugu, consists of seven books comprising four chapters, and discusses food and cooking. It introduces wide-ranging knowledge on ingredients for numerous dishes, cooking methods and techniques, the effects of food ingredients, and related taboos. The book introduces approximately 1,000 cooking recipes in detail from meat and vegetable dishes to beverages including cooling drinks and tea, confectionery such as snacks made with honey or sugar, and liquor brewing techniques. In “Imwongyeongjeji,” Seo Yugu shared a large volume of general knowledge on life based on the 72 years of his life, offering lessons on what to be cautious of and how to do things well. The eating culture recorded over the life of Confucius was passed down to the Joseon dynasty, and this Confucian food culture influenced Seo Yugu, author of “Imwongyeongjeji.” This study approached the great work of Seo Yugu in terms of cultural contents, and from this perspective, examined the exciting accounts of the East Asian eating culture.

        Study on Growth Strategies of the Magazine Industry in the Digital Platform

        This study aims to come up with a revenue model for the magazine industry in the digital environment and find the best practices in Korea and overseas. To find the best practices, this study diagnosed the reality of magazines, analyzed the current state and condition of the digital platform, conducted focus-group interviews with leading magazines, collected best practices of Korean and global magazines, developed and standardized a revenue model, generated a future vision, and analyzed support measures for policy implementation. The results of this study showed that, in order for magazines to survive and perform a desirable role in the rapidly changing media environment, they need specialized knowledge about the rapid changes of media, as well as the will and effort to aggressively fulfill the innovation. Furthermore, they must also actively implement systems to nurture managers or staff in the digital media era, to discover and develop best practices of digital and internet services, and to expand the awareness of success.
