This paper aims to i) introduce the characteristics of HF ocean radar and the major results and information produced by the radar networks in the Korean coasts to the readers, ii) make an up-to-date inventory of the existing radar systems, and iii) share the information related to the radar operating skill and the ocean current data application. The number of ocean radars has been showing a significant growth over the past 20 years, currently deploying more than 44 radars in the Korean coasts. Most of radars are in operation at the present time for the purposes related to the marine safety, tidal current forecast and understanding of ocean current dynamics, mainly depending on the mission of each organization operating radar network. We hope this overview paper may help expand the applicability of the ocean radar to fisheries, leisure activity on the sea, ocean resource management, oil spill response, coastal environment restoration, search and rescue, and vessel detection etc., beyond the level of understanding of tidal and ocean current dynamics. Additionally we hope this paper contributes further to the surveillance activity on our ocean territory by founding a national ocean radar network frame and to the domestic development of ocean radar system including signal processing technology. 본 논문은 고주파 해양레이더의 특징과 한국 연안해역에서 해양레이더망으로 생산된 주요 결과와 정보를 독자들에게 소개하고, 현존하는 레이더의 운영현황 목록을 만들며, 레이더 운영기술과 해류자료 활용에 관한 정보를 공유하고자 한다. 지난 20여년 동안 국내의 해양레이더 수는 현저히 증가하여 현재 44기 이상이 연안에 배치되어 있다. 대부분의 레이더는 주로 레이더 운영기관의 임무에 따라 해양안전, 조류예보 그리고 해류역학 이해를 목적으로 운영하고 있다. 논문 저자들은 본 논문이 해양레이더의 활용성을 조류와 해류역학 이해의 수준을 넘어서 어업, 해양레저활동, 해양자원 관리, 유류유출 대응, 연안환경 복원, 조난자 수색구조, 선박탐지 등으로 확장하는데 도움이 되기를 바란다. 이와 더불어 본 논문이 국가 해양레이더망 체계를 설립하여 해양영토 감시활동에 기여하고, 신호처리 기술을 포함한 국내 해양레이더 시스템을 개발하는데도 기여하기를 바란다.
중소 멤브레인 제조업체의 웹 기반 아이템관리시스템 개발

This paper deals with production processes of materials (membranes) in a Korean marine equipment company. The membranes composed of about 300 kinds of items are core resources of LNG (liquefied natural gas) carrier tank, and bring high value-added profits. As the production processes require advanced technical skills and high level of quality, it is very important to minimize loss of the raw materials and maximize yields of final products. In this research, we analyze the production procedures of membranes and develop a web-based item management system for the effective constructing of materials information and their process control. This system can provide a real-time control and tracing each production process from the incoming of raw materials to the shipping of the finished goods. The results can be used as a basic data of ERP (enterprise resource planning).
경영시스템 통합을 위한 조선기자재 업체의 경영시스템 운용분석

Organizations worldwide make efforts to develop their management systems for business functions. The representatives of management systems include quality management system (QMS), environmental management system (EMS) and occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS). Implementing EMS and/or OHSMS in addition to QMS requires the integration of separate management systems in alignment with the organization’s strategies and goals. Through the questionnaire survey on Korean marine equipment enterprises, this paper deals with the operational practices of management systems and analyzes perceptions about integrated management system (IMS). We found out the degree of perception is not sufficient enough to prepare background for IMS in Korean marine equipment enterprises. The results contribute to solid understanding and successful implementation of IMS.

폐 내 모래 흡인은 익사나 익사직전, 혹은 땅에 묻히는 사고를 당하면 일어날 수 있으며 방사선학적 소견은 매우 드물게 보고되었다. 공사현장에서 사고로 땅속에 매몰되었던 32세 남자 환자로 단순흉부촬영과 고해상 전산화단층촬영(CT)에서 양 폐에 산재된 경화성 병변과 전형적인‘모래기관지조영상(sand bronchogram)’을 보였고 기계적 환기와 체위배출 등의 보존적 치료로 완전히 회복된 심한 모래 흡인의 증례를 임상경과 및 영상소견의 고찰과 함께 보고한다. We report here on a case of sand aspiration in a 32-year-old man who had been accidentally buried in the deep pile of sand for four hours. Chest radiograph showed bilateral fluffy consolidations and nodular lesions with a typical 'sand bronchogram' in both lower lung zones, and these findings were more clearly visualized on the HRCT. The patient recovered completely with conservative treatment that included mechanical ventilation and postural drainage.

In general, domestic rubber parts manufacturers of automobile industry are small/ medium and produce diverse products in small lots. Customers requirements to change their models for new products can be easily adapted through the new molds of press machines. However, because of the gradual rise on material prices and labor costs, they need a production control system to efficiently manage interconnected press machines and hold their production information in common. In this study, we develop a real time process control system for an automobile rubber parts manufacturing company.
