        Anthocyanin formation in callus cultures using Populus alba ${\times}$ Populus glandulosa was evaluated on basal MS medium supplemented with various levels of growth regulators, sucrose and nitrate concentrations. The highest yield of anthocyanin from cultured cells was produced under 5% sucrose, 1/8 strength of nitrate(12.5% of basic concentration) and combination of 1.0 mg/l IAA with 2 mg/l BAP, respectively. The high anthocyanin producing cell line no. 11 was selected among 15 cell lines, showing over 80% cells contained anthocyanin producing cells. From these cells, the highly productive red protoplast was isolated and the highest protoplast yield, $6.7{\times}10^6$ was obtained in enzyme combination IV which is composed of 2.0% cellulase, 0.5% macerozyme and 0.1% pectolyase. 현사시나무의 조직 배양 세포에서의 anthocyanin 생산성이 높은 세포계를 얻기 위한 목적으로 실험을 수행한 바 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. Anthocyanin 생산력이 높은 세포계의 선발은 sucrose 3%, 2, 4-D 0.5 mg/l, BAP 0.1 mg/l가 첨가된 MS 기본배치에서 실시하여 15 개 cell line중에 생성력이 80%에 달한 ACL 11 세포계를 선발하였다. Anthocyanin 생성에는 배지 환경요소가 중요한 인자로 작용함을 밝혀 냈다.

        답 다년생 잡초방제에 관한 연구 I. 추경이 다년생잡초의 방제에 미치는 영향

        다년생 잡초의 지하번식기관의 토양중 분포조사와 추경심도 및 AVIROSAN에 의한 다년생 잡초 가래 방제에 미치는 영향에 대하여 얻어진 예비결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 너도방동산이와 올미의 괴경은 주로 0∼5cm의 깊이에 얕게 분포하여 있으나 가래의 인경과 올방개의 괴경은 각각 87%, 65%가 주로 10cm 이상의 깊이에 분포하였다. 2. 추경 20cm는 무경운, 무제초에 비하여 약 63%나 가래의 발생을 적게 하였다. 3. AVIROSAN 10a당 3kg 처리는 가래 방제에 특효하였으며 수량도 손제초 2회에 비하여 4% 증수되었다. 4. 보리짚 10a 당 250kg 처리도 가래의 발생억제는 물론 손제초 2회보다 1% 증수한 결과를 보였다. Distribution of underground organs of perennial weeds in soil and ecological control measure were evaluated. Tubers of Cypers serotinus and Sagittaria pygmaea were mostly presented in a shallow depth of 0 to 5cm, however, Potamogeton distinctus's bulbs and Eleocharis kuroguwai's tubers were distributed in the soil at 10 to 20cm. A 20cm autumn plowing was, to some extent, effective to reduce Potamogeton distinctus. The herbicide, avirosan at 3kg/10a alone, was extremely effective in controlling Potamogeton distinctus.

      • 유용식물 유전자원의 수집 보존 및 이용에 관한 연구 -잡초를 대상으로-

        1. 잡초종 54종을 수집 보관중이며 이들을 대상으로 발아력을 검정한 결과 치상후 15일째에 31종이 발아력을 보이고 그 가운데 50% 이상의 발아력을 보인것은 14종에 불과하여 대부분의 잡초종은 휴면의 정도에는 차이가 있지만 어떤 형태로든지 휴면성을 갖고 있는 것으로 구명되었다. 2. 우리나라에 발생하는 피속 잡초종은 외형적으로 여러종이 발생하는것 같았으나 2종만이 존재하는데 한 종은 강피이고 다른 종은 돌피와 변종으로 물피가 존재하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 3. 종자의 단백질 패턴 검정으로 종자 형태학적으로 분류한 종들을 재점검해 본 결과 강피는 돌피와 물피와는 달리 B zone에 주요 band가 있어서 쉽게 구분되었으나 돌피와 물피의 단백질 패턴이 유사하여 구분이 쉽지 않았다. Germinating ability of 54 weed species collected throughout Korea in 1987 and 1988 was determined in incubator at $25^{\circ}C$ for 15 days. The seeds of Echinochloa sp, collected from 70 different places throughout Korea, were classified by Yabuno's seed morphology method. Plant characters of two identified Echinochloa species, one having two subspecies were evaluated. SDS-PAGE(sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis) of seed protein assay was used to identify locally collected Echinochloa species classified by Yabuno's seed morphology method. 1. Out of 54 weed species collected, 31 species showed germination at 15 days after incubation, and 14 species showed over 50% and no germination was observed in 24 species, indicating that approximately 40 species had varied degree of germinating ability. 2. It was confirmed that two annual species of Echinochloa such as E. oryzicola and E. crus-galli occurred in Korea and one of which particularly E. crus-galli has two subspecies such as E. c. var. praticola and E. c. var. crus-galli. 3. E. oryzicola was distinguished from E. c. var crus-galli and E. c. var praticola by presence or absence of one major protein band in B zone. However, it was rather difficult to distinguish E. crus-galli species because they showed similar protein pattern.

        Physiological Evaluation of Transgenic Rice Developed for Drought Tolerance

        Evaluation of physiological performance of trehalose- producing transgenic rice line was conducted to investigate drought tolerance at early growth stage. Under artificially induced drought condition of 8% polyethylene glycol 6000, this transgenic rice line had leaf photosynthetic rate of 11.08 μmol CO2 m-2s-1, leaf transpiration rate of 8.38 mmol H2O m-2s-1 and leaf water potential of -1.12 MPa after 96 hours of treatment. Nakdongbyeo, the parent of this transgenic rice line, had photosynthetic rate of 15.42 μmol CO2 m-2s-1, leaf transpiration rate of 8.04 m㏖ H2O m-2s-1 and leaf water potential of -0.88 MPa. The other variety used in this experiment for comparison, IR 72, showed higher values than both transgenic rice line and variety Nakdonbyeo on all three parameters; leaf photosynthetic rate of 20.61 μmol CO2 m-2s-1, leaf transpiration rate of 12.88 mmol H2O m-2s-1, and leaf water potential of -0.82 MPa. So this transgenic rice line did not show superior performance in leaf transpiration rate, leaf photosynthetic rate and leaf water potential compared to variety Nakdongbyeo. This result along with visual observation on leaf rolling and drying during the experimental period indicated poor physiological performance of this transgenic rice line. Further studies on metabolic status of stress-induced trehalose, along with study on physiological response of this transgenic rice line during drought stress would shed more light on overall physiological performance of this transgenic rice line.

        은백양나무와 까마귀 - 브레히트의 시 「소리」를 중심으로

        Bertolt Brechts spate Lyrik, besonders die Lyrik in den Buckower Elegien, stellt auf der einen Seite die Natur um Buckow realistisch dar und zugleich zeigt sie seine politische Einstellung auf. Diese Doppelseitigkeit seiner Gedichte lasst uns auf die Beziehung von Signifikant und Signifikat aufmerksam werden. Nach der Behauptung J. Links, dass Brechts Alterslyrik ohne eine Analyse ihres Symbolstils nicht richtig diskutiert werden kann, wird die Beziehung von Signifikant und Signifikat als Schlussel fur das Verstandnis seiner Lyrik angesehen.. K.-B. Vollmar verwendete z. B. den Begriff ´Sklavensprache´ und behauptete, dass dieser Dichter das verschlusselt ausgedruckt hat, was er in der DDR offen nicht darstellen durfte. N. Rastegar richtete seine Aufmerksamkeit darauf, dass in der Lyrik Brechts ein Zeichen immer die gleiche Bedeutung besitzt und verwendete den Begriff ´Modell´. In diesem Aufsatz wird versucht, die politische Ansicht Brechts anhand der zwei lyrischen Bilder wie Silberpappel und Krahe in der Laute zu analysieren. Die Silberpappel ist ein Zeichen fur den sozialistischen Kunstler oder Intellektuellen, wie er selbst, die Krahe stellt demgegenuber die Arbeiterklasse dar. In diesem Gedicht erwartet Brecht eine Zeit, in der er mit der Arbeiterklasse einen Idealstaat grunden kann, was durch die Überwindung der politischen Krise von 1953 verwirklicht werden kann.
