        Among the pros and cons for non-objective art, the analogy of the pure music is very important. But what is possible to the music is not always possible to the painting. There is a serious difference between spacial art and music-time-expression. One of the critics suggests that the thinness of non-objective painting is due to the relative shallowness of the space within which the painting is composed of. This may not be true. The shallowness is not of the space but of time. As the time is the essence of life, a tendency of retreat of humanty results in that sort of art. We can not underetand it without the knawlege of the back-round; the artist himself, his opinion, ism etc., separhtely from of art.

        Most successive styles in the arts, frequantly react to the one that precedes them. In this way, the new style expresses the changing character of the times. Pop Art was in pact a reaction against the highly personal, often non-objective nature of Abstract Expressionism. Although Pop Art is generally thought of as an American phenomenon, it was actually born in England in the Mid-1950s. At first, British Pop Art growth in London at the Institute of Contemporary Art Called the Independent Group. Hamilton who was one of the best member of IG Group, is a disciple of Marcel Duchamp, and it should be noted that Duchamp'xs, philosophy of art or anti-art has been perhaps the major influence on pop artists. The important point about Hamilton's, and subsequent that their purpose is not satirical or in any way antagonistic. As in Britain, Pop Art in all its manifestations was given its greatest impetus in America during the 1960's. This was an art which had a natural appeal to American artists, living in the midst of the most blatant industrial and commercial environment. For the American Pop Artists, once they realized the tremendous possibilities of their every day environment in thecreation of new subject matter, the result was more bold, overpowering than in the case of their European counterparts. There were many indications that American painting would return to a new Kind of Figuration, a new humanism. There were a great many precedents: Some fifty years had passed since the seeds of Pop were sown by Cubist collage: in retrospect it is amazing that commercial subject matter had not been 'discovered' as the total basis for fine art long before this. The Surrealist objects and found objects of the 1930's, like Jean Dubuffet's work of the early 1950's, were selected for their resemblance to something else a dream, a figure, or a subconscionsimage: ediate comprehension would have detracted from them. Pop Art is instantly to the point, extroverted rather than introverted. Since mid-century there has been an increasing number of works by contemporary American artists that take as their subject other art. The "Art-About-Art" theme first appeared prominently in the 1950's and has gained importance since the 1960's with the advent of the Pop Art movement. The works paraphrase, reinterpret, or feature the art of both Old and Modern Masters, as well as early and recent. American art, and they often display impudent humor, satire, and parody.

      • 미국선녀벌레의 발육단계별 형태 및 기주선호성

        미국선녀벌레(Metcalfa pruinosa)의 발육단계별 형태를 조사한 결과 알의 길이는 0.86mm 그리고 폭은 0.40mm의 장타원형으로 유백색이었다. 1령, 2령, 3령, 4령, 그리고 5령 약충에 대한 두폭의 크기는 각각 0.26, 0.35, 0.49, 0.69, 그리고 0.97mm였다. 암수 성충의 두폭, 체폭, 체장, 앞날개, 그리고 뒷날개 길이를 측정한 결과 두폭은 각각 1.57와 1.49mm, 체폭 2.80와 2.61mm, 체장 7.63와 7.15mm, 앞날개 7.44과 6.67mm, 뒷날개 6.20와 5.56mm로 암컷이 수컷보다 큰 것으로 조사되었다. 목본 49종과 초본 29종 등 총 78종의 식물에 대한 약충과 성충의 기주선호성을 조사한 결과 약충기에는 무궁화, 아까시아, 단풍나무, 대추나무, 다래덩굴, 대국 및 꽃범의 꼬리 등에서 밀도가 높았으나, 성충기에는 목본류만 선호하였다.

      • 잣나무솔잎벌(Diprion hani)의 생태적 특성과 잣나무에 미치는 영향

        잣나무솔잎벌은 2007년 경기, 강원, 충북의 잣나무조림지에 잎을 가해하는 돌발해충으로 생태, 형태적으로 특성이 밝혀지지 않아 충북 제천지역에서 월동에 들어간 고치를 수집하여 충북 청원군에 소재한 충청북도 산림환경연구소로 옮겨와 실내 곤충사육실(온도 25°C, 습도 50%,16L/8D)과 야외에 철망(16 mesh)을 씌운 우화상 (55(가로) × 55(세로) × 60cm(높이))에서 개체 사육하여 생활사 등 생태적 특성을 조사하였으며, 잣나무 피해목과 건전목의 신초, 정아, 잎의 생장량을 조사하였다. 잣나무솔잎벌은 4월, 7월과 9월에 1년에 3회 발생하고 암컷성충은 평균 145.7개의 알을 산란하고 산란기간은 평균 5.3일이며, 부화기간은 평균 7.1일이었다. 성충의 생식방법은 양성생식과 단성생식을 같이 하였는데, 양성생식 했을 때의 암컷비율은 평균 0.48이었고, 단성생식 했을 때는 100% 수컷으로만 부화하였다. 유충은 5번 혹은 6번 탈피하고, 유충기간은 6령까지 평균 20.9일, 7령은 평균 23.5일 이었다. 유충 한 마리가 섭식하는 잣나무잎은 평균 227.84㎝이었으며 영기가 증가 할수록 섭식량도 증가하였다. 전용기간은 평균 16.4일, 번데기기간은 평균 6.8일이었다. 암컷성충의 난소발육은 번데기 단계에서 시작하고 고치 속에서 우화 할 때 난포의 성숙이 끝난 상태로 우화탈출하여 산란하는 특성을 보였다. 건전목의 신초길이는 평균 26.6±7.2cm이고, 피해목은 평균 3.2±0.5cm였다. 정아 길이는 건전목이 2.1±1.4cm이고, 피해목은 0.9±0.2cm였고, 잎의 길이는 건전목이 59.8±4.0cm이었고, 피해목이 평균 93.7±12.6cm로 건전목에 비해 피해목의 성장이 아주 미미하였다.

        Musculoskeletal diseases of heavy industrial workers

        Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the musculoskeletal diseases (MSDs) that occur in heavy industrial workers according to the occupational category, prevalence, environment, and number of physical therapy visits. Design: Retrospective cohort study. Methods: For this study, data was collected of workers who were engaged in heavy industry in Korea and who visited the company physicians and received physical therapy in 2016. Data was collected from 855 subjects and was analyzed. With the data collected, analysis of the type and prevalence of MSDs and the number of physical therapy visits that have occurred according to the occupational category and environment was performed. Results: The most common MSDs were lumbar sprains and spasms (31.1%), and shoulder sprain and spasm (19.4%). In addition, the most common type of MSDs according to the occupational category and environment (occupational type) were lumbar sprain and spasms in 11 occupations, including white collar workers, and in milling, inspection, crane operation, and finishing jobs, shoulder muscle sprain and strain were the most common disorders. Also, the prevalence of MSDs according to occupational category and environment (occupational type) was the highest in workers involved with welding, which was 29.7%. Conclusions: Through this study, the type and prevalence of MSDs according to the occupational category and environment of heavy industrial workers have been confirmed. Further studies are necessary to study the future types of the work patterns of industrial workers and to develop a system for preventing and managing MSDs that may occur.

        A novel hinge ankle foot orthosis for gait performance in chronic hemiplegic stroke survivors: a feasibility study

        Stroke survivors with gait disturbances may use ankle foot orthoses (AFOs). However, most AFOs come in one-piecestyles, which make it difficult for spasticity-affected stroke survivors to don. AFOs are also limited since they do notproperly prevent ankle joint for foot drop by itself. Therefore, the present study developed a novel hinged AFO by adding alocking device to a hinged joint. We then tested its feasibility in 9 hemiplegic stroke survivors by investigating temporal–spatial gait parameters using the GAITRite in the following 3 conditions: no AFO, traditional AFO, and novel hinged AFO. There was no significant difference in spatiotemporal gait parameters among the different conditions. There were greaterdecreases in gait velocity, cadence, step length, and stride length in the novel hinged AFO group than in the no AFO andtraditional AFO groups. This novel hinged AFO was developed to prevent foot drop. However, the AFO did not showsignificant differences in gait parameters because it consists of metal with extra weight and volume. Functionally, itprevented foot drop. It also improved convenience by its releasable design. Thus, further studies are needed to develop anAFO that improves gait and is convenient to use for hemiplegic stroke survivors.
