        Musculoskeletal diseases of heavy industrial workers

        Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the musculoskeletal diseases (MSDs) that occur in heavy industrial workers according to the occupational category, prevalence, environment, and number of physical therapy visits. Design: Retrospective cohort study. Methods: For this study, data was collected of workers who were engaged in heavy industry in Korea and who visited the company physicians and received physical therapy in 2016. Data was collected from 855 subjects and was analyzed. With the data collected, analysis of the type and prevalence of MSDs and the number of physical therapy visits that have occurred according to the occupational category and environment was performed. Results: The most common MSDs were lumbar sprains and spasms (31.1%), and shoulder sprain and spasm (19.4%). In addition, the most common type of MSDs according to the occupational category and environment (occupational type) were lumbar sprain and spasms in 11 occupations, including white collar workers, and in milling, inspection, crane operation, and finishing jobs, shoulder muscle sprain and strain were the most common disorders. Also, the prevalence of MSDs according to occupational category and environment (occupational type) was the highest in workers involved with welding, which was 29.7%. Conclusions: Through this study, the type and prevalence of MSDs according to the occupational category and environment of heavy industrial workers have been confirmed. Further studies are necessary to study the future types of the work patterns of industrial workers and to develop a system for preventing and managing MSDs that may occur.

        항공안전 데이터를 이용한 항공기 공중충돌위험식별 모형 검증 및 고도화

        In case of South Korea, the airspace which airlines can operate is extremely limited due to the military operational area located within the Incheon flight information region. As a result, safety problems such as mid-air collision between aircraft or Traffic alert and Collision Avoidance System Resolution Advisory (TCAS RA) may occur with higher probability than in wider airspace. In order to prevent such safety problems, an mid-air collision risk detection model based on Detect-And-Avoid (DAA) well clear metrics is investigated. The model calculates the risk of mid-air collision between aircraft using aircraft trajectory data. In this paper, the practical use of DAA well clear metrics based model has been validated. Aviation safety data such as aviation safety mandatory report and Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast is used to measure the performance of the model. The attributes of individual aircraft track data is analyzed to correct the threshold of each parameter of the model.

        항공안전데이터를 사용한 위해요인 위험도 정량적 평가기법

        To manage State Safety Program (SSP) in a more integrative and proactive manner, an aviation safety authority of the state shall detect and assess the risk of emerging or hidden safety hazards before they provoke accidents or incidents(ICAO, 2018). In case of South Korea, safety risk assessment is conducted by calculating the likelihood and severity of the hazard following ICAO’s safety management manual. It is reasonable to extract the safety risk likelihood by calculating the number of occurrence caused by the hazard. However, it is ambiguous to assess the safety risk severity defined as the extent of harm that might be expected to occur as a consequence of the identified hazard. In this paper, a safety risk assessment method which quantitatively calculates the risk of hazard using aviation safety data(i.e. aviation safety mandatory report, etc.) is proposed. By utilizing the proposed method, the existing process that safety risk is being subjectively assessed by safety inspectors can be supplemented. So that essential aviation safety policy decision making can be accomplished by the accurate result of safety risk assessment.

        생성 모형을 사용한 순항 항공기 향후 속도 예측 및 추론

        An accurate trajectory prediction is a key to the safe and efficient operations of aircraft. One way to improve trajectory prediction accuracy is to develop a model for aircraft groundspeed prediction. This paper proposes a generative model for posterior aircraft ground speedprediction. The proposed method fits the Gaussian Mixture Model(GMM) to historical dataof aircraft speed, and then the model is used to generates probabilistic speed profile of theaircraft. The performances of the proposed method are demonstrated with real traffic data inIncheon Flight Information Region(FIR).

        Effects of Fragrance Components of Abies holophylla Max. on Stress Relief and Improvement of Vascular Function

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the fragrance of Abies holophylla Max., which is known to contain α-pinene, β-pinene, and limonene, etc., on stress relief, vascular function and autonomic nervous system. In this crossover design study, 15 healthy workers without otolaryngologic disease (37.6 ± 6.8 years old) were randomized to either (1) plant fragrance inhalation or (2) odorless air inhalation by an experiment coordinator. Compared with odorless air inhalation, plant fragrance inhalation decreased brachial SBP (117.64±4.89 to 108.36± 3.92 mmHg, p=.001), brachial DBP (75.00±3.21 to 71.71±2.30 mmHg, p=.004), central SBP (104.86±4.22 to 97.21±3.28 mmHg, p=.001), central DBP (75.00±3.14 to 71.93±2.43 mmHg, p=.015), and heart rate (66.57±1.84 to 63.00±1.72 bpm, p<.001). Arterial Stiffness Indexes such as AIx (13.00±3.75 to 5.71±4.19%, p=.000) and AIx@75 (7.71±3.51 to -0.29±3.93%, p=.001) were also decreased significantly when fragrance was inhaled. In addition, all of the interventions had significant interventions except brachial and central DBP. Heart rate variability (HRV) and flow-mediated dilation (FMD) were significantly improved in plant fragrance inhalation vs. odorless air inhalation (p=.006, p=.039). In conclusion, this study demonstrates that fragrance components of A. holophylla Max. have positive effects on the autonomic nervous system and improve vascular function. Therefore, it will be helpful for the selective use of plants to increase the treatment effect in horticultural therapy.

        셀프 뷰티족 여성의 가치의식이 개인용 뷰티디바이스의 구매행동 및 재구매의도에 미치는 영향

        This study attempted to investigate the value consciousness of purchasing behavior and purchasing intentions of personal beauty devices for women undergoing self-behavioral therapy. To this end, a survey was conducted, and a total of 342 copies of data were analyzed. As a result, In terms of the value consciousness, purchase behavior, and repurchase intention of the individual's personal beauty device, the value consciousness was the most materialistic, and the purchase behavior was the most economical. The overall repurchase intention was M=3.73 and SD=0.80. In correlations among value consciousness, purchase behavior and repurchase intention, positive correlations were confirmed (p<0.01). In terms of the influence of value consciousness on purchase behavior (aesthetics, conformity, effectiveness), ‘aesthetic-pursuit factor’ was the largest. In the effects of value consciousness on the economic aspect of purchase behavior, ‘materialistic factor’ was the highest. Lastly, in the influence of value consciousness on reliability, ‘self-esteem factor’ revealed the greatest effect. Furthermore, self-esteem factors had the biggest influence on repurchase intention. The above results confirmed that value consciousness of women in self-beauty care have a positive influence on their purchase behavior and repurchase intention for personal beauty devices. It is anticipated that they would be available as important marketing data in beauty device market. 본 연구에서는 셀프 뷰티족 여성의 가치의식에 따른 개인용 뷰티디바이스 구매행동 및 재구매 의도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 설문조사를 실시하고 총 342명의 설문지를 분석했다. 그 결과, 대상자의 개인용 뷰티디바이스의 가치의식, 구매행동, 재구매의도 정도에서 가치의식은 물질주의 적이, 구매행동은 경제성이 가장 높게 나타났다. 재구매의도는 전체 M=3.73, SD=0.80로 나타났다. 가치의 식, 구매행동, 재구매의도의 상관관계 분석에서는 변수들마다의 정(+)의 상관관계가 확인되었다(p<0.01). 셀프 뷰티족 여성의 가치의식이 개인용 뷰티디바이스의 구매행동(심미성, 동조성, 효과성)에는 심미추구적 이, 구매행동의 경제성에는 물질주의적이, 구매행동의 신뢰성에는 자아존중적 요인이 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 변수로 확인되었다. 또한 셀프 뷰티족 여성의 가치의식의 자아존중적 요인이 개인용 뷰티디바이스의 재구매의도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 변수로 확인되었다. 본 연구를 통하여 셀프 뷰티족 여성의 가치의식은 소비자의 개인용 뷰티디바이스의 구매행동 및 재구매의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었으 며, 뷰티디바이스 시장에 중요한 마케팅 기초 자료로써 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다.
