Acetaminophen, which causes acute liver min in humans and animals, has made useful inducer of hepatoxicity for studying hepatopreventive drugs. Injinhotang is known as one of the hepatopreventive drugs. However, its mechanism of recovery of hepatoxicity treated with acetaminophen is poorly understood. this study was performed to observe the antioxidative effect of injinhotang extract and its several combination groups. The results were obtained as follows:1. In the study on free radical scavenging effect in vitro(the suppressing effect on peroxidation of linoleic acid on concentration, the scavenging effect of DPPH radical, inhibitory effect of superoxide in xanthine-xanthine oxidase system and the inhibitory effect on lipid peroxidation reaction by hydroxy radical in H2O2-Fe2+system, injinhotang have more effect than its components groups relatively. 2. In the study on antioxidants system in vivo(the level of serum LPO, the level of hepatic LPO, catalase, GSH, GST), only injnhotang has a significant effect. 3. In the study on hepatotoxicity(GOT, GPT, $\gamma$-GTP, ALP, LDH, b ilirubin), only injinhotang has a significant effect. These results suggest that injinhotang has the protective effect on acetaminophen-induced hepatoxicity. The mechanisms of these are supposed to be involved in antioxidant and three drugs' cooperative synergy effect.

정유 공장에서 발생된 폐수 슬러지의 최적 감량화 방안 연구

In this study, anaerobic digestion, electro-oxidation and electro-fenton oxidation processes were investigated to reduce oily refinery sludge. Anaerobic digestion process was not suitable for oily activated sludge reduction because of characteristics itself and, as experimental results revealed, reduction efficiency was low for electro-oxidation process. However, 40% total suspended solid reduction of oily activated sludge was obtained by electro-fenton oxidation process, operating at pH=1, 0.5 A and Fe2+: H2O2 ratio = 1:30. In addition, higher reduction efficiency was obtained as reaction time was increased (30, 60, 90, 120 min) despite of low H2O2 concentration. From the results, it has been investigated that electro-fenton oxidation is efficient process for oily activated sludge reduction.

임베디드 웹서버를 이용한 원격 감시 및 제어 시스템 구현

임베디드 웹서버를 설계하고 리녹스 OS 를 포팅하여 원격지 하드웨어의 제어와 감시 시스템을 구현하였다. 리녹스는 2.4.1 버전을 ARM720T 보드에 포팅했으며 웹서버는 GPL(General Public License)규약인 Boa web server를 사용했다. 원격치 감시와 제어를 위해 Cirrus Logic사의 ARM720T 칩인 EP7312의 GPIO(General Purpose Inpout Output) 포트에 출력 디바이스 연결시켜 실험하였다. GPIO 장치 드라이버를 작성하였고, 이를 구동시키는 응용프로그램은 리녹스용 C언어를 CGI프로그램화시켜 클라이언트 PC의 웹브라우저에서 제어와 감시가 가능하게 했다. 이는 기존의 PC기반의 웹서버를 사 용하는 것 보다 하드웨어 설계 비용을 절감할 수 있고 운영체제없이 구현되는 웹서버보다는 응용범위의 다양성과 개발기간 단축이라는 장점을 가지고 있다. We have designed embedded web server system and ported Linux operating system version 2.4.1 at our system. And then We implemented to control and monitor widely separated hardware. Web server is the Boa web server with General Public License. We designed for this system using of Cirrus logic’s EP7312 ARM core base processor and connecting input and output device at GPIO port of EP7312. Device driver of General purpose I/O for Linux OS is designed. And then the application program controlling driver is implemented to use of common gate interface C language. User is available to control and monitor at client Pc. This method have benefit to reduce the Expenditure of hardware design and development time against PC base system and have various and capacious application against firmware base system.

Adsorption of zinc and toluene by alginate complex impregnated with zeolite and activated carbon

In this study, a novel alginate complex was developed for removal of mixed contaminants containing both organic and inorganic compounds. The alginate complex was generated by impregnating synthetic zeolite and powdered activated carbon (PAC) into alginate gel bead. The adsorption of zinc and toluene as target contaminants onto the alginate complex was investigated by performing both equilibrium and kinetic batch tests. Equilibrium tests showed that adsorption of two contaminants followed Langmuir isotherm and that the alginate complex was capable of removing zinc (maximum binding energy β = 4.3 g/kg) and toluene (β = 13.0 g/kg) best compared to other adsorbents such as granular activated carbon (GAC), zeolite, and alginate impregnated with PAC (AG–AC bead). These values were higher than those of any other adsorbents for each contaminant. It was further revealed from kinetic tests that removal efficiency of zinc and toluene was 54% and 86% for the initial solution concentrations of 250 mg/L, respectively. This indicates that the alginate complex developed in this study can be used as promising adsorbents for simultaneous removal of organic and inorganic compounds from industrial wastewater or groundwater containing mixed contaminants.

근로자의 고용상태가 미충족 의료에 미치는 영향

Objectives: This study was designed to evaluate whether employment status is associated with the experience of unmet care needs. Methods: This study utilized the Korea Health Panel data from 2012 to 2016. A total of 4,083 workers were selected as baseline subjects in 2012 and were followed for four years. This study used the GLIMMIX procedure under the marginal model while adjusting for covariates. Results: A total of 12.4% of 4,083 people said they had failed at least once to have a treatment or checkup despite the needs. Those more likely to experience unmet care needs were women and people of lower income level, with worse health conditions and chronic disease. Precarious workers, the self-employed, and the unemployed were more likely to experience unmet care needs caused by economic burden than permanent workers (Odds Ratio: 2.14, 2.07, 2.74, respectively). Conclusions: This disparity means that precarious workers and the unemployed are more likely to face barriers in obtaining needed health services. Given their insecure employment status, meeting their needs for health care is an important consideration.

보조인물의 성격으로 본 ‘춘향전’ 이본 간의 특성 차이 - <남원고사>와 84장본 <열녀춘향수절가>를 중심으로 -

‘춘향전’은 춘향과 이도령의 사랑을 둘러싸고 벌어지는 우여곡절에 관한 이야기이지만, 이들의 사랑이야기를 둘러싸고 벌어지는 사건 사이사이에서 보조인물들이 다양한 역할을 수행한다. 그중에서 ‘월매’, ‘방자’, ‘농부’는 현재 남아 있는 ‘춘향전’의 가장 초기본인 <만화본춘향가>에서부터 거의 모든 이본에서, 자신들의 역할을 수행해 왔다. 여기에서는 ‘춘향전’ 이본군 중에서 가장 중요한 이본으로 간주되고 있는 세책본 <남원고사>와 완판계 84장본 <열녀춘향수절가>를 대상으로, 이들 보조인물들의 형상화 차이를 살피고, 향유층의 변화라는 관계 속에서 그 의미를 살폈다. 분석 결과, 서울지역에서 향유되던 <남원고사>에 보이는 인물들은 약삭빠르거나 의뭉스러운 성격을 지니면서, 양반인 이도령과의 관계에서 순응적인 모습을 보이는 한편 하층민 상호간에 긴장감을 조성하고 있다는 점을 확인했다. 반면에 전라도 지방에서 향유되던 <84장본>에 보이는 인물들은 마이너스적인 하층민의 모습은 약화되거나 사라지면서 보다 건강한 하층민의 모습으로 그려지게 되고, 인물간의 관계도 하층민 상호간에는 긴장감이 사라지고 양반과의 사이에 긴장감을 조성하는 관계를 형성하고 있다는 점에서 각 이본군의 성격이 다르다는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 인물간에 보이는 이러한 상이한 지점을 관계성에 초점을 두고 수직적 질서 속의 개인으로부터, 여전히 봉건적 수직 질서 속에 놓여 있는 존재이기는 하지만, 주체성이 강화된 하층민으로 변화한 것으로 파악했다. 구체적으로 월매는 양반도령을 맞이하는 퇴기에서 주체적인 어머니상으로, 방자는 주인 도령에게 순종하는 관청의 방자에서 양반과 하층민을 연결하는 중간자적 존재로서의 메신저로, 농부들은 단순한 정보 전달자에서 학정의 고발자로 변화했다고 보았다. Many assistant characters appear in 'Choonhyangjun' besides the heroine Choonhyang(춘향) and hero Yidoryung(이도령). Especially, Wolmae(월매), Bangja(방자) and Farmers(농부) appear in almost all variant texts, and they accomplish various roles being connected through many twists and turns of Choonhyang(춘향) and Yidoryung(이도령)'s love. This paper examined their characteristics by focusing on ‘Namwonkosa(남원고사)’ and ‘Yulnyuchoonhyangsujulga(열녀춘향수절가)’. Namwonkosa(남원고사)’s assistant characters who read to the people of the Jullado(전라도) district are conniving and have black-hearted personalities, but those of ‘Yulnyuchoonhyangsujulga(열녀춘향수절가)’ are described as the healthy lower class. The relationship between them and Yidoryung(이도령) in Namwonkosa (남원고사) is adaptable, but there is tension with them and Yidoryung(이도령) in Yulnyuchoonhyangsujulga(열녀춘향수절가). From these points, it was confirmed that the characteristics of the two works are different. It was observed that there was a change from the individual in the vertical order to the independent lower class's people. Concretely, Wolmae(월매) changed from retired kisang(기생) receiving yidoryung(이도령) to the image of independent mother. Bangja(방자) changed from compliable hasher to yidoryung of the public office to the messenger who connected yangban(양반) to lower class people. Futher more farmers(농부) changed from simple beings who pass on data to the relators who tyrannize to administrators.

임베디드 시스템을 이용한 가택의 긴급상황 감시 시스템에 대한 연구

32비트 RISC 프로세서인 PXA255기반 보드에 임베디드 리녹스 운영체제와 HTIP(Hypertext Transfer Protocol) 웹 서버를 포팅하여 사용자의 웹 브라우져 상에서 원격지 가택에 대한 실시간 감시가 가능한 시스템을 구현하였다. 웹 서버는 GoAhead 웹 서버2.1 버전을 교차 컴파일하여 사용 하였으며 가택감시를 위한 아날로그 신호에 대한 입력을 프로세서가 받기위해 ADC(Analog to Digital Convertor)칩인 ADC0809를 사용하였다. ADC를 위한 디바이스 드라이버를 작성하였으며 이를 웹 브라우져 상에서 실시간적으로 변하는 데이터를 모니터링하기위해 클라이언트 풀(Client Pull)방식을 사용한 CGI-C 응용프로그램을 개발하였다. 감시가 가능한 요소로는 온도, 조도 그리고 가스 유출여부이며 가스 밸브와 현관문의 개폐상태를 확인할 수 있게 하였고 긴급 상황 발생시 경고음을 발생하도록 하였다. 최근 홈 디지털 서비스 중에 사용자가 가장 필요로 하는 긴급 상황에 대한 감시 요구를 내장형 시스템을 사용하여 보다 적은비용으로 구현 하였다. In this paper, we implemented a real-time remote home monitoring system which we have ported the Linux OS and HTTP(Hypertext Transfer Protocol) web server. The GoAhead web server was ported using by ARM cross compiler. And then we used the analog to digital converter ADC0809 for sensing the variable input signal at widely separated home. We have implemented linux device driver for ADC(Analog to Digital Convertor) and CGI-C(Common Gateway Interface - C language) application program using Client pull method for monitoring real-time changing data. The factor of monitoring is temperature, intensity of illumination and gas’s existence. And this system has ability which check the status of out door and gas valve. We have designed the embedded web server system for home emergency monitoring in low cost.

The Feasibility of NEWS(National Early Warning Score) to Detect Acutely Deteriorating Young Adult Patients in a Korean Tertiary Hospital

Background: Early warning scores( EWS ) are now extensively used to identify deteriorating ward patients.To evaluate the feasibility of ‘NEWS’ for acute ill younger adult patients, we studied the correlation between the trigger of NEWS and hospital mortality for patients of a Korean tertiary hospital. Methods: A retrospective analysis of prospectively collected dataset during 4 months periods.1,795 adult patients triggered the thresholds for the NEWS and 987 patients, over 18 years and under 65 years , were eligible to be examined. We collected their demographic data, initial triggering NEWS score, last NEWS score, the clinical outcomes of the triggering including arrest, hospital mortality. Results: Mean age of the subjects was 49.53 ± 11.82(SD)years old.673(69.1%) of the 974 episodes was observed in medical ward and 536(55.0%) was male. According as the discrimination of three different levels of acute illness severity by the definition of NEWSDIG, a low-level clinical alert, a medium-level clinical alert, and a high-level clinical alert in initial triggering NEW score were 863(88.6%),59(6.1%), and 52(5.3%) respectively. Initial triggering clinical alert level correlate with hospital mortality.(2.8% vs 11.9% vs 23.1% ; p<.001) Also last triggering clinical alert level did. (2.0% vs 11.1% vs 66.7% ; p<.001) Conclusions : This study showed that NEWS by NEWSDIG had good performance as a tool to screen and assess acute ill younger adult patients in our dataset. The higher NEWS score was significantly related to hospital mortality even in younger adult patients.

One-sided fattening of the graph in the real projective plane

The one-sided fattenings (called semi-ribbon graph in this paper) of the graph embedded in the real projective plane $\rrpp^{2}$ are completely classified up to topological equivalence. A planar graph (i.e., embedded in the plane), admitting the one-sided fattening, is known to be a cactus boundary. For the graphs embedded in $\rrpp^{2}$ admitting the one-sided fattening, unlike the planar graphs, a new building block appears: a bracelet along the M\"obius band, which is not a connected summand of the oriented surfaces.
