This paper describes on the development of the utility vehicle controller using battery and photovoltaic power for subsiding operation time. In order to keep interchangeability, low cost and high performance, a separately excited DC Motor is controlled by μ-processor without velocity and current measurement. Using DC-DC converter, the solar cell and battery are parallel-operated by the maximum power point tracking(MPPT) and the output current control of solar cell. By the simulation and experiment of trial product, the validity of the proposed system is verified.
Effect of Fluoride-based Plasma Treatment on the Performance of AlGaN/GaN MISHFET

This paper demonstrates the effect of fluoride-based plasma treatment on the performance of Al2O3/AlGaN/ GaN metal-insulator-semiconductor heterostructure field effect transistors (MISHFETs) with a T-shaped gate length of 0.20 μm. For the fabrication of the MISHFET, an Al2O3 layer as a gate dielectric was deposited using atomic layer deposition, which greatly decreases the gate leakage current, followed by the deposition of the silicon nitride layer. The silicon nitride layer on the gate foot region was then selectively removed through a reactive ion etching technique using CF4 plasma. The etching process was continued for a longer period of time even after the complete removal of the silicon nitride layer to expose the Al2O3 gate dielectric layer to the plasma environment. The thickness of the Al2O3 gate dielectric layer was slowly reduced during the plasma exposure. Through this plasma treatment, the device exhibited a threshold voltage shift of 3.1 V in the positive direction, an increase of 50 mS/mm in trans conductance, a degraded off-state performance and a larger gate leakage current compared with that of the reference device without a plasma treatment.

This paper proposes the instantaneous control method, structure and characteristics of inverter system for alternative energy. The variable structure control and adaptive parameter estimation is applied to this system. which realizes following function; ① the synchronization of phase, frequency and amplitude between inverter voltage and utility voltage at stand-alone mode ② the synchronization of phase between inverter current and utility voltage at utility voltage at utility interactive-mode. To reduce chattering problem of variable structure control smooth function is used. The result of simulation and experiment shows the effectiveness of proposed control scheme and equivalent circuit; the good performance, robustness of the proposed control structure. and the reduction of THD in the inverter output.

GaN (Gallium-Nitride) is a promising candidate material in various radio frequency applications due to its inherent properties including wide bandgap, high carrier concentration, and high electron mobility/saturation velocity. Notably, AlGaN/GaN heterostructure field effect transistor exhibits high operating voltage and high power-density/power at high frequency. In next-generation radar systems, GaN power transistors and monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) are significant components of transmitting and receiving modules. In this paper, we introduce technological trends for C-/X-/Ku-band GaN MMICs including power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers and switch MMICs, focusing on the status of GaN MMIC fabrication technology and GaN foundry service. Additionally, we review the research for the localization of C-/X-/Ku-band GaN MMICs using in-house GaN transistor and MMIC fabrication technology. We also discuss the results of C-/X-/Ku-band GaN MMICs developed at Defense Materials and Components Convergence Research Department in ETRI.
Langevin 타입 압전변환기의 수중환경 부하 모델링 및 임피던스 특성 분석에 관한 연구

In this paper, we studied the modeling of underwater loading conditions for piezoelectric transducers installed underwater for algae removal. Based on the finite element method, the impedance change according to the underwater environment was analyzed through multiphysics analysis of structure, piezoelectric effect, and ultrasound. In addition, the mechanical load modeling and impedance characteristics were analyzed and modeled according to each load condition of the Langevin type converter for inductance compensation used in the design of the existing electric driving circuit. Through this study, it is expected that it will be possible to design a power converter that enables efficient output control according to changes in the underwater environment.
영구자석현 동기전동기의 H∞ 강인 제어기 설계에 관한 연구

본 논문에서는 H∞ 강인 제어기가 설계되었다. 이 제어기는 다항식 접근방법과 Youla 매개변수화를 이용하였으며 적응제어 적용이 용이하고 혼합감도 H∞ 평가함수를 최소화시킨다. 하중함수를 변화시키지 않고도 극배치가 가능한 장점도 가지고 있다. A H∞ robust controller is designed. It is appropriate for adaptive control system and minimize the mixed sensitivity H∞ cost function by employing the Youla parameterization and polynomisl approach. And pole placement is possible without changing of weighting functions.
시변스위칭함수를 이용한 슬라이딩 모드 제어기의 도달기간 제거에 관한 연구

This paper presents the design of sliding mode Controller for removing reaching phase using time varying switching functions. For removing reaching phase in VSCS (Variable Structure Control Systems), a time varying switching surface is proposed to achieve the sliding mode during the entire control process. Numerical example is presented to demonstrate the effects of this approach.

The Grimble's polynomial approach in the design of H∞ robust controller is applicable to adaptive control system But it can not minimize the mixed sensitivity cost function. In this paper, In this paper, we use the Youla type of controller and make it possible to minimize the mixed sensitivity cost function by using polynomial approach.
