      • 高分子量 Amine에 依한 鐵鑛石中 Titanium의 分離에 關한 硏究

        A liquid anion exchanger, Amberlite LA-1 diluted with xylene has been successfully used for the rapid separation of Ti(Ⅳ) from Fe(Ⅲ) in the Iron ore. Since in 10N HCI the extractability of Amberlite LA-1-xylene solution for Ti(Ⅳ) is found to be nil, but that of Fe(Ⅲ) is very high, it is easy to separate the coexisting Ti(Ⅳ) by extraction from Fe(Ⅲ). After extraction, the remaining Ti(Ⅳ) in the aqueous phase is determined colorimetrically using H₂O₂. It has been found that the presence of such cations as Cr(Ⅵ), Ni(Ⅱ), Co(Ⅲ), Cu(Ⅱ), V(Ⅴ), Mo(Ⅵ), and Fe(Ⅲ) give no interference in the above procedure, and the same is true in the ease of such anions as nitrate, sulfate, phosate and perchlorate.

      • 란탄족원소-ALC 착물의 전기화학적 연구

        란탄족이온($Gd^{3+},$ $Tb^{3+},$ $Dy^{3+},$ $Ho^{3+},$ $Er^{3+},$ $Yb^{3+}$ 및 $Lu^{3+}$)과 alizarin complexone(ALC) 사이에 생성한 착물의 전기화학적 거동을 직류폴라로그래피, 펄스차이폴라로그래피 및 순환전압전류법으로 연구하였다. 0.1M $HOA_C-NaOA_C$ 지지전해질 용액에서, 착화제인 ALC는 2전자 1단계의 1:1의 착물을 형성하였으며 이 착물의 환원파는 펄스차이폴라로그래피 및 순환전압전류법으로 흡착성 착물파임을 확인하였다. 착물파의 환원전위는 ALC의 환원파보다 음전위에서 나타났으며 란탄족이온의 농도의 증가에 따른 ALC의 봉우리전류(PI)의 감소와 착물의 봉우리전류($P_2$)의 증가는 란탄족이온의 농도 $2.5X10^5$~$1.0X10^4M$ 범위에서 직선적으로 변화하였다. Electrochemical behavior of $Ln^{3+},$-ALC complexes($Gd^{3+},$ $Tb^{3+},$ $Dy^{3+},$ $Ho^{3+},$ $Er^{3+},$ $Yb^{3+}$ and $Lu^{3+}$-alizarin complex-one) has been investgated by d.c polarography, differential pulse polarography and cyclic voltammetry. The reduction mechanism of ALC comes to the conclusion that the two electron make one step of reversible processes, and that there is few adsorption in the electrode reaction. The new complex is made from one lanthanide ion and one ALC. This complex is proven to make an adsorptive complex wave, by the experiments of differential pulse polarography and cyclic voltammetry. The reduction potential of complex wave($P_2$)turns up more negatively than ligand wave($P_1$) does. Linear calibration curves of the decreasing P1 and increasing $P_2$ is obtained when the lanthanide concentration varys from $2.5X10^5$M to $1X10^4M$.

        충주산(忠州産) 저품위(低品位) 철광석(鐵鑛石)의 품위향상(品位向上)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究)

        Iron ore waste discarded around Choong-ju iron district, Choongchong-Bukdo is as low as 25 per cent of iron, mainly consisting of hematite and magnetite. In this mineral dressing test procedure 93 per cent of magnetite was separated and concentrated into the magnetite concentrate as high as 62 per cent. The remaining sample, mostly, hematite averages about 19.8 per cent of iron which can be concentrated with very good results with the optimum flotation conditioning-pH 3.0 and 3 cc per litre of aero-promoter #845 (0.5% sol.) and 1.5cc per litre of hydro-fluoric acid (40% sol.) and four times of cleaning flotation. Hematite concentrate averages 64.2 per cent of iron. The overall iron concentrate averages 63 per cent of iron with recovery 86 per cent of iron contained.

      • $Sm^3+$-ARS착물의 전기화학적 연구

        $Sm^3+$과 Alizarin red S(ARS)가 반응하여 생성한 착물의 전기화학적 성질을 직류폴라로그래피, 펄스차이폴라로그래피 및 순환전압전류법으로 연구하였다. $Sm^3+$과 ARS는 1 : 3 착물을 형성하였다. 0.1M LiCl 지지전해질 용액에서 착물의 환원파는 확산지배적이며 흡착성 착물파임을 확인하였다. 착물파의 환원전위는 ARS의 환원전위보다 음전위에서 나타났으며 $Sm^3+$의 농도를 증가시키면 ARS의 봉우리전류($P_1$)는 감소하고 착물의 봉우리 전류($P_2$)는 증가하였다. ARS의 농도 $2{\times}$$10^-4$ M에서 $Sm^3+$의 농도 $2{\times}$$10^-6$ M~$3.2{\times}$$10^{-5}$ M 범위에서 직선적으로 변하였다. Electrochemical behaviors of $Sm^3+$-ARS complexes has been investigated by d.c.polarography, differential pulse polarography and cyclic voltammetry. $Sm^3+$forms 1 : 3 adsorptive complexes with ARS.The reduction potential of complex wave $(P_2)$ shifted more negatively than the ligand wave $(P_1)$. The linear calibration curves of decreasing $P_1$ and increasing $P_2$ is obtained when $Sm^3+$ concentration varies from $2{\times}10^{-6}$ M to $3.2{\times}10^{-5}$ M.

      • Chloranil과 Aniline 誘導體 사이의 電荷移動 錯物의 전자 스펙트라에 關한 硏究(Ⅰ)

        The maxlmum Wavelength Value (λmax) of the Charge-Transfer Complexes of chloranil with aniline derivatives were measured in Cyclohexane. Compare to the aniline, the first and the second bands of aniline derivatives were found to be red shift. But the first bands were hardly affected by substituents, and the second bands were affected differently by the substituents on the donor molecule. They were assigned to the transition of an electron from, respectively, the highest occupied and the second highest occupied orbitals of the donor to the lowest unoccupied orbital of the acceptor. The locations of the first CT band were found to be extremely sensitive to variation in media, Therefore, the explation was arrived at by the use of a model where an acceptor was assumed to associate independently with several different sites of a donor molecule. Between the Value of the εmax and K of the aniline derivatives are not related each other, but εmax values are almost same in case of the derivatives of the donors are same site and substituent.

        Comparision studies onthe extraction of Tungsten thiocyanate complex have been carried out using several pure organic solvents and 0.1% Amberlite LA₁solvents diluted with each solvent. The latter solvents show more advantages not only on extractability but also on linearity for the spectrophotometric determination of the complex than the former cases.

        A study is made on the separation and the concentration of metal ions by use of a liquid anion exchanger such as Amberlite LA-1 and LA-2 diluted with organic solvent. The liquid anion exchanger is superior to solid anion exchanger for the extraction of the complex.

        A liquid anion exchanger, Amberlite LA-1 diluted with xylene was successfully used for the seperation of AI(Ⅲ) from Fe(Ⅲ) in Iron ores or steals In 11.2 N-HCl the extractability of Amberlite LA-1-xylene solution for Al(Ⅲ) was found to be nil, but that of Fe(Ⅲ) was very high Al, remaining in the aqueous phase could be determined by EDTA titration.
