Lego products, the representative of block toys, have reached beyond children's toys and hobbies of adults to create works of art or practical products, and block products that have the advantage of being able to freely repeat assembly and disassembly have the possibility of infinite creation. In this study, the development of a braille generating machine was carried out by focusing on the morphological similarity between blocks and 6-point braille among various application fields of block products. First, an efficient method of expressing braille was proposed, and after assembling a physical structure using Mindstorms EV3 and a technic bricks, a machine driving device was proposed that generates a designated braille by performing coding work to operate it. In the future, we look forward to the development of products with commodity value through continuous research on original practical products that take advantage of the brick's ability to assemble and disassemble. 블록완구의 대표라 할 수 있는 레고제품은 아동용 장난감이나 성인들의 취미를 넘어서 예술작품이나 실용적인 제품을 만들어내는데 이르렀으며, 조립과 분해를 자유롭게 반복할 수 있다는 장점을 지닌 블록제품은 무한창작의 가능성을 내포하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 블록제품의 활용분야 중에서 블록과 6점 점자의 형태적 유사성에 착안하여 점자생성 머신의 개발을 진행하였다. 우선 점자를 표현하는 효율적인 방법을 제안하고, 마인드스톰 EV3와 테크닉 브릭을 활용하여 물리적 구조를 조립한 후, 이를 작동시키기 위한 코딩작업을 진행하여 지정된 점자를 생성하는 기계구동 장치를 제안하였다. 향후, 조립 분해가 가능하다는 브릭의 장점을 활용한 독창적 실용제품들의 지속적인 연구가 이루어져 상품가치를 지닌 제품의 개발을 기대한다.
Optimization of rapid thermal processing for uniform temperature distribution on wafer surface

An optimization of rapid thermal processing (RTP) was conducted to obtain uniform temperature distribution on a wafer surface by using linear programming and radiative heat transfer modeling. The results show that two heating lamp zones are needed to maintain uniform wafer temperature and the optimal lamp positions are unique for a given geometry and not affected by wafer temperatures. The radii of heating lamps, which were obtained by optimization, are 45 mm and 108 mm. The emissivity and temperature of the chamber wall do not significantly affect the optimal condition. With obtained optimum geometry of the RTP chamber and lamp positions, the wafer surface temperatures were calculated. The uniformity allowance of the wafer surface is less than ±1℃ when the mean temperature of the wafer surface is 1000℃.
Kinetics and Mechanism of Pyridinolysis of Aryl Dithiocyclopentanecarboxylates in Acetonitrile

Kinetic studies on the pyridinolysis of aryl dithiocyclopentanecarboxyaltes 2 were carried out at 60.0 oC in acetonitrile. In the aminolysis of 2, the βX values were 0.5 - 0.8 with anilines, and there was no breakpoint. However, in the pyridinolysis of 2, biphasic Brönsted plots were obtained, with a change in slope from a large value (βX ≅ 0.7) to a small value (βX ≅ 0.4) at pKa 0 = 5.2. This was attributed to a change in the rate-limiting step from breakdown to the formation of a zwitterionic tetrahedral intermediate, T±, in the reaction path, with an increase in the basicity of the pyridine nucleophile. An obvious change in the cross-interaction constant ρXZ from a large positive (ρXZ = +1.02)value to a small negative value (ρXZ = ‒0.17) supports the proposed mechanistic change.

The kinetics and mechanism of the reactions of thiophenyl dimethylacetates (TDA) and trimethylacetates (TTA) with benzylamines in acetonitrile are studied. The reactions are first order in both the amine and the substrate. Relatively large values of ${\beta}X(\betanuc$ = 1.1-1.5; TDA and 1.1-1.5; TTA) and ${\beta}Z({\beta}lg$ = -1.8~-2.0; DTA and -1.3~-1.6; TTA) for benzylamines, significantly large kH/kD values (=1.2-1.5; DTA and 1.2-1.5; TTA) involving deuterated benzylamines, and large ${\rho}XZ$ (=0.82; TDA and 1.05; TTA) values are interpreted to indicate stepwise acyl transfer mechanism, but with the hydrogen bonded four center type transition state for benzylamine. The relatively greater magnitudes of ${\rho}XZ$ and the secondary kinetic isotope effects involving deuterated nucleophiles are in line with the proposed mechanism.
Kinetics and Mechanism of the Aminolysis of Aryl N-Benzyl Thiocarbamates in Acetonitrile

The aminolysis reactions of phenyl N-benzyl thiocarbamate with benzylamines in acetonitrile at 50.0 ^oC are investigated. The reactions are first order in both the amine and the substrate. Under amine excess, pseudo-first coefficient (k_(obs)) are obtained, plot of k_(obs) vs free amine concentration are linear. The signs of ρXZ (< 0) are consistent with concerted mechanism. Moreover, the variations of ρX and ρZ with respect to the sustituent in the substrate and large ρXZ value indicate that the reactions proceed concerted mechanism. The normal kinetic isotope effects (k_H/k_D = 1.3 ~1.5) involving deuterated benzylamine nucleophiles suggest a hydrogen-bonded, four-centered-type transition state. The activation parameters, ΔH^‡ and ΔS^‡, are consistent with this transition state structure.
