        Expression and Clinicopathological Significance of CD9 in Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor

        This study investigated the expression and clinicopathological significance of CD9 in gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST). Immunohistochemistry staining for CD9 was performed on tumor tissues from 74 GIST patients. The correlation with clinicopathological features, risk classification and prognosis was analyzed. CD9-positive staining comprised 59.5% (44/74) of the GIST patients. The CD9-positive expression rate of the sample was significantly associated with diameter (P=0.028), mitotic counts (P=0.035), risk classification (P=0.018) and three-year recurrence-free survival (RFS) (P<0.001). Cox proportional hazards regression (HR=0.352; P=0.015) showed that CD9 is an independent factor for post-operative RFS. The subgroup analysis showed that CD9 expression in gastric stromal tumor (GST) is significantly associated with diameter (P=0.031), risk classification (P=0.023) and three-year RFS (P=0.001). The Cox proportional hazards regression (HR=0.104; P=0.006) also showed that CD9 is an independent factor for RFS of GST. However, CD9 expression does not have a statistically significant correlation with clinicopathological features, risk classification, and prognosis in non-GST. In conclusion, CD9 expression in GIST appears to be associated with the recurrence and/or metastasis of GIST patients, especially in GST, which may indicate the important role of CD9 in the malignant biological behavior and prognosis of GST.

      • The Preliminary Research on the Relationship between Carbon Emissions and Typical Floor Design of High-Rise Office Buildings in Shanghai

        The greenhouse effect caused by human activities is becoming increasingly serious. The building industry, which is directly related with carbon emissions, has the responsibility and potentiality to reduce carbon emissions. Recently, Chinese and foreign academics have achieved some research results with respect to building carbon emissions. This paper tries to examine these issues in the context of climate conditions in the Shanghai area. Based on the typical floor plans of high-rise office buildings, analysis was performed via software simulation and data analysis; the paper explores the relationship between different design methods of typical floor plans and carbon emissions. The objective is to deliver results beneficial to typical floor-design methods with respect to the reduction of carbon emissions, so as to provide a reference for architects.

        Image Deduplication Based on Hashing and Clustering in Cloud Storage

        With the continuous development of cloud storage, plenty of redundant data exists in cloud storage, especially multimedia data such as images and videos. Data deduplication is a data reduction technology that significantly reduces storage requirements and increases bandwidth efficiency. To ensure data security, users typically encrypt data before uploading it. However, there is a contradiction between data encryption and deduplication. Existing deduplication methods for regular files cannot be applied to image deduplication because images need to be detected based on visual content. In this paper, we propose a secure image deduplication scheme based on hashing and clustering, which combines a novel perceptual hash algorithm based on Local Binary Pattern. In this scheme, the hash value of the image is used as the fingerprint to perform deduplication, and the image is transmitted in an encrypted form. Images are clustered to reduce the time complexity of deduplication. The proposed scheme can ensure the security of images and improve deduplication accuracy. The comparison with other image deduplication schemes demonstrates that our scheme has somewhat better performance.

        Scalable Blockchain Storage Model Based on DHT and IPFS

        Blockchain is a distributed ledger that combines technologies such as cryptography, consensus mechanism, peer-to-peer transmission, and time stamping. The rapid development of blockchain has attracted attention from all walks of life, but storage scalability issues have hindered the application of blockchain. In this paper, a scalable blockchain storage model based on Distributed Hash Table (DHT) and the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) was proposed. This paper introduces the current research status of the scalable blockchain storage model, as well as the basic principles of DHT and the InterPlanetary File System. The model construction and workflow are explained in detail. At the same time, the DHT network construction mechanism, block heat identification mechanism, new node initialization mechanism, and block data read and write mechanism in the model are described in detail. Experimental results show that this model can reduce the storage burden of nodes, and at the same time, the blockchain network can accommodate more local blocks under the same block height.

        Data Sorting-based Adaptive Spatial Compression in Wireless Sensor Networks

        Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) provide a promising approach to monitor the physical environments, to prolong the network lifetime by exploiting the mutual correlation among sensor readings has become a research focus. In this paper, we design a hierarchical network framework which guarantees layered-compression. Meanwhile, a data sorting-based adaptive spatial compression scheme (DS-ASCS) is proposed to explore the spatial correlation among signals. The proposed scheme reduces the amount of data transmissions and alleviates the network congestion. It also obtains high compression performance by sorting original sensor readings and selectively discarding the small coefficients in transformed matrix. Moreover, the compression ratio of this scheme varies according to the correlation among signals and the value of adaptive threshold, so the proposed scheme is adaptive to various deploying environments. Finally, the simulation results show that the energy of sorted data is more concentrated than the unsorted data, and the proposed scheme achieves higher reconstruction precision and compression ratio as compared with other spatial compression schemes.

        Molecular grafting to improve adhesion of spray-deposited circuits on polymeric surface for flexible electronics

        An efficient molecular grafting approach is presented to improve interfacial adhesion of logic circuits byvirtue of the valuable molecules chemically linked to polymer surfaces. With spray-assisted layer-by-layer deposition, pure metallic Ag coatings with a thickness of 130 gm adhere well to the PET plastics andthe homogeneity of the Ag coatings has been studied. In particular, the peel broken site is estimatedinside polyester resin beneath the interface. The fabricatedflexible circuits maintain high conductivityunder various twisting conditions and bending tests, indicating the possibility of producing robustprinted circuits ontoflexible substrates.

        Effects of regeneration conditions on sulfated CuSSZ-13 catalyst for NH3-SCR

        To understand the role of regeneration conditions on sulfur-poisoned Cu/SSZ-13 catalysts for NH3-SCR, the physicochemical characterizations and NOx conversions were investigated. The sulfur-poisoned Cu/SSZ-13 catalysts were treated at different conditions as a function of temperature and duration. TGA results revealed that regeneration at 500 oC only removed parts of sulfur spices and at 700 oC can completely remove all sulfur spices. The physical structural characterizations results illustrate that regeneration below 700 oC has no significant impact on CHA structure for Cu/SSZ-13 catalysts, while dealumination occurs on poisoned Cu/SSZ-13 when regeneration temperature is higher than 700 oC. EPR and H2-TPR results show that the sulfate decomposition and Cu migration reactions involved during regeneration and, as a result, the content of Cu2+ gradually increased as the extent of regeneration increased. The kinetics tests support that NOx conversion recovery is related to the content of Cu2+ increase during regeneration. Our study reveals that the optimum regeneration temperature is 700 oC, because severe dealumination at 750 oC inhibited Cu2+ amount increase.

        Sweroside plays a role in mitigating high glucose-induced damage in human renal tubular epithelial HK-2 cells by regulating the SIRT1/NF-κB signaling pathway

        Sweroside is a natural monoterpene derived from Swertia pseudochinensis Hara. Recently, studies have shown that sweroside exhibits a variety of biological activities, such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and hypoglycemic effects. However, its role and mechanisms in high glucose (HG)-induced renal injury remain unclear. Herein, we established a renal injury model in vitro by inducing human renal tubular epithelial cell (HK-2 cells) injury by HG. Then, the effects of sweroside on HK-2 cell activity, inflammation, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) were observed. As a result, sweroside treatment ameliorated the viability, inhibited the secretion of inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1β, and VCAM-1), reduced the generation of ROS, and inhibited EMT in HK-2 cells. Moreover, the protein expression of SIRT1 was increased and the acetylation of p65 NFkB was decreased in HK-2 cells with sweroside treatment. More importantly, EX527, an inhibitor of SIRT1, that inactivated SIRT1, abolished the improvement effects of sweroside on HK-2 cells. Our findings suggested that sweroside may mitigate HGcaused injury in HK-2 cells by promoting SIRT1-mediated deacetylation of p65 NF-kB.

        Research on Noise Reduction Algorithm Based on Combination of LMS Filter and Spectral Subtraction

        In order to deal with the filtering delay problem of least mean square adaptive filter noise reduction algorithm and music noise problem of spectral subtraction algorithm during the speech signal processing, we combine these two algorithms and propose one novel noise reduction method, showing a strong performance on par or even better than state of the art methods. We first use the least mean square algorithm to reduce the average intensity of noise, and then add spectral subtraction algorithm to reduce remaining noise again. Experiments prove that using the spectral subtraction again after the least mean square adaptive filter algorithm overcomes shortcomings which come from the former two algorithms. Also the novel method increases the signal-to-noise ratio of original speech data and improves the final noise reduction performance.
