        Radiotherapy combined with immunotherapy could improve the immune infiltration of melanoma in mice and enhance the abscopal effect

        Purpose: To analyze the gene mutation, immune infiltration and tumor growth of primary tumor and distant tumor under different treatment modes. Materials and Methods: Twenty B16 murine melanoma cells were injected subcutaneously into the of both sides of the thigh, simulating a primary tumor and a secondary tumor impacted by the abscopal effect, respectively. They were divided into blank control group, immunotherapy group, radiotherapy group, and radiotherapy combined immunotherapy group. During this period, tumor volume was measured, and RNA sequencing was performed on tumor samples after the test. R software was used to analyze differentially expressed genes, functional enrichment, and immune infiltration. Results: We found that any treatment mode could cause changes in differentially expressed genes, especially the combination treatment. The different therapeutic effects might be caused by gene expression. In addition, the proportions of infiltrating immune cells in the irradiated and abscopal tumors were different. In the combination treatment group, T-cell infiltration in the irradiated site was the most obvious. In the immunotherapy group, CD8+ T-cell infiltration in the abscopal tumor site was obvious, but immunotherapy alone might have a poor prognosis. Whether the irradiated or abscopal tumor was evaluated, radiotherapy combined with anti-programmed cell death protein 1 (anti-PD-1) therapy produced the most obvious tumor control and might have a positive impact on prognosis. Conclusion: Combination therapy not only improves the immune microenvironment but may also have a positive impact on prognosis.

        Nonlinear sloshing in rectangular tanks under forced excitation

        A numerical code is developed based on potential flow theory to investigate nonlinear sloshing in rectangular Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) tanks under forced excitation. Using this code, internal free-surface elevation and sloshing loads on liquid tanks can be obtained both in time domain and frequency domain. In the mathematical model, acceleration potential is solved in the calculation of pressure on tanks and the artificial damping model is adopted to account for energy dissipation during sloshing. The Boundary Element Method (BEM) is used to solve boundary value problems of both velocity potential and acceleration potential. Numerical calculation results are compared with published results to determine the efficiency and accuracy of the numerical code. Sloshing properties in partially filled rectangular and membrane tank under translational and rotational excitations are investigated. It is found that sloshing under horizontal and rotational excitations share similar properties. The first resonant mode and excitation frequency are the dominant response frequencies. Resonant sloshing will be excited when vertical excitation lies in the instability region. For liquid tank under rotational excitation, sloshing responses including amplitude and phase are sensitive to the location of the center of rotation. Moreover, experimental tests were conducted to analyze viscous effects on sloshing and to validate the feasibility of artificial damping models. The results show that the artificial damping model with modifying wall boundary conditions has better applicability in simulating sloshing under different fill levels and excitations.

        Using SiNx double-layer deposition to reduce electrode incidence of short circuits due to impurity particles in thin film transistor preparation

        Aviation safety relies on accurate scope presentation of air navigation displays, and lack of display information due to poor dot line may cause the pilot to misjudge the air conditions. Impurity particles occurred during preparing thin film transistor (TFT) circuit may be a leading reason for poor dot line. This work attempts to replace existing SiNx single-layer deposition with double-layer, so that the incidence risk can be lower through reducing number and size of the impurity particles. Double-layer deposition approach has the dot line structures and performances to that of single-layer, and can meet the requirements of display usage. Results of field test demonstrate that double-layer deposition reduces defect rate of display more efficient than single-layer. Proposed mechanism of double-layer deposition illuminates that 2nd-SiNx can cover holes generated by falling impurity particles to avoid short circuits in both indium tin oxide (ITO) and source-drain (SD) contact.

        Gorenstein $FP_{n}$-injective modules with respect to a semidualizing bimodule

        Let $S$ and $R$ be rings and $_{S}C_{R}$ a semidualizing bimodule. We introduce the notion of $G_C$-$FP_n$-injective modules, which generalizes $G_C$-$FP$-injective modules and $G_C$-weak injective modules. The homological properties and the stability of $G_C$-$FP_n$-injective modules are investigated. When $S$ is a left $n$-coherent ring, several nice properties and new Foxby equivalences relative to $G_C$-$FP_n$-injective modules are given.

        Electrochemical DNA detection using Hoechst dyes in microfluidic chips

        We fabricate microfluidic DNA sensors based on the electrochemical method that uses Hoechst 33258[20-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-5-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)-2,50-bi(1H-benzimidazole)] as a DNA intercalator. These chips are fabricated without a probe immobilization process, thereby being more simply regenerated than other typical DNA chips. Linear sweep voltammetric measurements show an anodic-current decrease consistent with the DNA duplex formation which occurs when the target is fully complementary to the probe, enabling sequence-specific DNA detection.       • Research on SQLite Database Query Optimization Based on Improved PSO Algorithm

        In recent years, with the development of the information industry, we ushered in the age of big data, more and more Internet and mobile products are popping up. According to the mobile device is portable, real-time etc, the development of mobile phone system become the focus of scientific and technological development, but the research on its local database is relatively small. This paper introduced a query optimization method based on improved Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm (PSO) for SQLite database on Android platform. This method improves the original PSO, and put the database transaction into the Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm, and should be used to join query. It improves the speed of complex query, and optimizes the query on SQLite database. Experimental results show that this method is an effective way to optimize the SQLite database query, and also can be used in the Android platform.

        POPULATION BALANCE MODEL OF ICE CRYSTALS SIZE DISTRIBUTION DURING ICE SLURRY STORAGE

        Particle size distribution and number of ice crystals have a great influence on the flow and heattransfer performance of ice slurry. A population balance model (PBM) containing populationand mass balances has been built to simulate numerically the development of ice particle sizedistribution during adiabatic ice slurry storage. The model assumes a homogeneously mixed andlong-term storage tank in which the effect of breakage and aggregation between ice crystals wasconsidered. For solving the population balance equations (PBEs) in the PBM, a semi-discretefinite volume scheme was applied. Finally, the effect of breakage and aggregation on developmentof ice particle size distribution was analyzed respectively. The results show that bothbreakage and aggregation are the two important effects on the particle size distribution andevolution of ice particle during storage, but they have opposite effect on the development of icecrystal size. In storage, breakage and aggregation have almost equivalent effect in the initialphase, but aggregation has dominant effect at last. The PBM results are in good agreement withexperimental results by Pronk et al. [Effect of long-term ice slurry storage on crystal size distribution,5th Workshop on Ice Slurries of the IIR (2002), pp. 151–160]. Therefore, the PBMpresented in this paper is able to predict the development of particle size distribution during iceslurry storage.

        MiR-186 Inhibited Migration of NSCLC via Targeting cdc42 and Effecting EMT Process

        In this study, qRT-PCR was employed to identify that miR-186 expression level in NSCLC tissues are highly associated with lymph node metastasis. In addition, through the application of western blotting, luciferase assay and qRT-PCR, it was found that miR-186 targeted 3UTR of cdc42 mRNA and down-regulated cdc42 protein level in a post-transcriptional manner. Transwell assay indicated that cdc42 partially reversed the effect of miR-186 mimics. Besides, miR-186 was proved to regulate EMT by influencing biomarkers of this process and cell adhesion ability. Thus, miR-186 is a potential target for NSCLC therapy. miR-186 is proposed to be one of tumor-suppressors and may serve as a therapeutic target in NSCLC treatment.
