Reversible Data Hiding in JPEG Images Using Ordered Embedding

( Zhenxing Qian ),( Shu Dai ),( Boyang Chen ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2017 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.11 No.2

This paper proposes a novel method of reversible data hiding in JPEG images. After analyzing the JPEG features, we provide a new algorithm of selecting appropriate blocks and coefficients to carry secret messages. Instead of embedding data into the histogram of all coefficients, we propose a strategy of ordered embedding to hide data by histogram shifts in several rounds. On the recipient end, secret messages can be exactly extracted, and the original JPEG image can be losslessly recovered. Experimental results show that high embedding rate can be achieved with limited distortions. Most importantly, the marked JPEG file generated by the proposed method requires less storage size than state-of-the-art works.

        Constructive Steganography by Tangles

( Zhenxing Qian ),( Lin Pan ),( Nannan Huang ),( Xinpeng Zhang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2018 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.12 No.8

This paper proposes a novel steganography method to hide secret data during the generation of tangle patterns. Different from the traditional steganography based on modifying natural images, we propose to construct stego images according to the secret messages. We first create a model to group a selected image contour, and define some basic operations to generate various pattern cells. During data hiding, we create a cell library to establish the relationships between cells and secret data. By painting the cell inside the image contour, we create a dense tangle pattern to carry secret data. With the proposed method, a recipient can extract the secret data correctly. Experimental results show that the proposed method has a flexible embedding capacity. The constructed stego tangle image has good visual effects, and is secure against adversaries. Meanwhile, the stego tangle pattern is also robust to JPEG compression.

Increased Piezo1 channel activity in interstitial Cajal-like cells induces bladder hyperactivity by functionally interacting with NCX1 in rats with cyclophosphamide-induced cystitis

        Qian Liu,Bishao Sun,Jiang Zhao,Qingqing Wang,Fan An,Xiaoyan Hu,Zhenxing Yang,Jie Xu,Mingjia Tan,Longkun Li 생화학분자생물학회 2018 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.50 No.-

The Piezo1 channel is a mechanotransduction mediator, and Piezo1 abnormalities have been linked to several clinical disorders. However, the role of the Piezo1 channel in cystitis-associated bladder dysfunction has not been documented. The current study aimed to discover the functional role of this channel in regulating bladder activity during cyclophosphamide (CYP)-induced cystitis. One hundred four female rats were randomly assigned to the control, CYP-4h, CYP-48h and CYP-8d groups. CYP successfully induced acute or chronic cystitis in these rats. CYP treatment for 48h or 8d significantly increased Piezo1 channel expression in bladder interstitial Cajal-like cells (ICC-LCs), and the increase in CYP-8d rats was more prominent. In addition, 2.5 μM Grammostola spatulata mechanotoxin 4 (GsMTx4) significantly attenuated bladder hyperactivity in CYP-8d rats by inhibiting the Piezo1 channel in bladder ICCLCs. Furthermore, by using GsMTx4 and siRNA targeting the Piezo1 channel, we demonstrated that hypotonic stressinduced Piezo1 channel activation significantly triggered Ca2+ and Na+ influx into bladder ICC-LCs during CYPinduced chronic cystitis. In addition, the Piezo1 channel functionally interacted with the relatively activated reverse mode of Na+/Ca2+ exchanger 1 (NCX1) in bladder ICC-LCs from CYP-8d rats. In conclusion, we suggest that the functional role of the Piezo1 channel in CYP-induced chronic cystitis is based on its synergistic effects with NCX1, which can significantly enhance [Ca2+]i and result in Ca2+ overload in bladder ICC-LCs, indicating that the Piezo1 channel and NCX1 are potential novel therapeutic targets for chronic cystitis-associated bladder hyperactivity.

Cyclophosphamide-induced HCN1 channel upregulation in interstitial Cajal-like cells leads to bladder hyperactivity in mice

        Qian Liu,Zhou Long,Xingyou Dong,Teng Zhang,Jiang Zhao,Bishao Sun,Jingzhen Zhu,Jia Li,Qingqing Wang,Zhenxing Yang,Xiaoyan Hu,Longkun Li 생화학분자생물학회 2017 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.49 No.-

Hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated (HCN) channels are confirmed to be expressed in bladder interstitial Cajal-like cells (ICC-LCs), but little is known about their possible role in cystitis-associated bladder dysfunction. The present study aimed to determine the functional role of HCN channels in regulating bladder function under inflammatory conditions. Sixty female wild-type C57BL/6J mice and sixty female HCN1-knockout mice were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups, respectively. Cyclophosphamide (CYP)-induced cystitis models were successfully established in these mice. CYP treatment significantly enhanced HCN channel protein expression and Ih density and significantly altered bladder HCN1 channel regulatory proteins. Carbachol (CCH) and forskolin (FSK) exerted significant effects on bladder ICC-LC [Ca2+]i in CYP-treated wild-type (WT) mice, and HCN1 channel ablation significantly decreased the effects of CCH and FSK on bladder ICC-LC [Ca2+]i in both naive and CYP-treated mice. CYP treatment significantly potentiated the spontaneous contractions and CCH (0.001–10 μM)-induced phasic contractions of detrusor strips, and HCN1 channel deletion significantly abated such effects. Finally, we demonstrated that the development of CYP-induced bladder overactivity was reversed in HCN1 / mice. Taken together, our results suggest that CYP-induced enhancements of HCN1 channel expression and function in bladder ICC-LCs are essential for cystitis-associated bladder hyperactivity development, indicating that the HCN1 channel may be a novel therapeutic target for managing bladder hyperactivity.

The status of neutral insects, mosquitoes in the food of natural enemies in tea gardens

        Guangjing Qian,Xueyu Song,Shang Li,Zhenxing Wang,Shoudong Bi,Xiazhi Zhou,Yunding Zou 한국응용곤충학회 2019 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.22 No.4

In order to provide scientific basis for the comprehensive pest management in tea garden, the status of the main natural enemies, Tetragnatha squamata and T. maxillosa in their prey on neutral insects, mosquitoes and mayflies in tea garden from spring to summer was verified. The quantity, temporal and spatial relationships of mosquitoes, mayflies, five main pests and T. squamata, T. maxillosa were analyzed by angle cosine coefficient, temporal niche similarity coefficient and the ranges of spatial dependence of theoretical model of semivariogram in geostatistics. The assay was conducted in Huangshan large-leafed tea gardens in 2013 and 2014, Anji white tea gardens in 2014 and 2015, and, Wuniuzao and Baihaozao tea gardens. The results showed that the top three preys, Monolepta hieroglyhpica, thrips and mosquitoes, had a close relationship with two types of natural enemies. The top three preys had a close relationship with T. squamata, mayflies were the sixth. The top three prey M. hieroglyhpica, thrips and mosquitoes had a close relationship with T. maxillosa. Neutral insects, mosquitoes were the main prey of the potential natural enemies, T. squamata and T. maxillosa from March to May in tea gardens, mayflies were the fifth to sixth. There was no significant difference in the individuals of mosquitoes in different tea gardens.

The Development and Experimental Test of a New Pore-forming Grouted Precast Shear Wall Connector

        Dongyue Wu,Shuting Liang,Zhenxing Guo,Xiaojun Zhu,Qian Fu 대한토목학회 2016 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.20 No.4

Pore-forming grouted connection characterized with great economic superiorities and application potentials has weaker mechanical properties comparing to the steel sleeve grouted connector. To improve the mechanical properties of pore-forming grouted connector, the NPGCS was generated using welded closure confinement steels in buckle configuration. Experimental tests and finial element analysis of two NPGCS precast shear wall specimens and one cast-in-situ shear wall specimen was carried out to test mechanical performances. Results indicated that the mechanical properties of NPGCS can match the connection requirements even under the adverse effects from grouted interface gap opening and slip. Contributing to the excessive confinement steels, the mechanical properties of NPGCS specimens are better than that of the cast-in-situ specimen. So, according to the suggestions given out in this paper, the NPGCS can be widely applied into precast buildings in certain areas and conditions.

Effect of oxygen non-stoichiometry on magnetic and electrical transport properties of La0.67Sr0.33MnO3

        Huo Guoyan,Su Qian,Li He,Li Zhenxing,Chang Yating 한국물리학회 2020 Current Applied Physics Vol.20 No.6

The effect of oxygen deficiency and oxygen excess on the magnetic and electrical transport properties of La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 has been investigated. The thermal and isothermal magnetization measurement results show that the Curie temperature and saturation magnetization of oxygen deficient sample (defined as A) are higher than those oxygen excess sample (defined as B). The electrical resistivity of A is lower than that of B in studied temperature range. The magnetoresistance (MR) of B is larger than that of A in the temperature range from 280 to 360 K, which agrees with the magnetic field needed full spin polarization at room temperature. The colossal MR (CMR) around transition temperature from ferromagnetic metal to paramagnetic insulator (TMI) for A is larger than that for B, which arises from assistance of stronger lattice deformation for A.
