      • Mobile Agent 기술을 이용한 네트워크 관리 구조

        The agent system has been considered as a part of the artificial intelligence technology. The mobile agent is an agent with mobility and an independent software program which runs on behalf of its operator. In this paper, a network management architecture using mobile agent technology in distributed network environment is proposed. The proposed architecture uses CORBA as the distributed object platform and the mobile agent is implemented using mobility of Java code. In order for mobile agent to communicate with SNMP agent. proxy object which can converse with CORBA object is proposed in the architecture. It can use several transparency characteristics that CORBA provides. In the result. it has been shown that the system.

        扶正解毒湯의 抗癌活性과 免疫調節作用에 관한 硏究

        To evaluate the antitumm activity and immune rsponse of Bujunghoedo!aaCtnng(BJHDn, studies were done experimentally. The rsulLF were OMaineed as fallow: 1. BJHDT e m c b erhibitcd a wmk eytotoxieity against SKOV-3, and SK-MELJ cell lines, while it showed a good effectivaes against BlE-FIO up to 80% of control at concenmion of over 0.25mg/ml 2. BJHDT emcG signifimtly showed an inhibitor, effect on DNA topowmewz I from calf thpw at 500 mglmf. 3. BJHDT eXhaetS showed antiadhesive rates against A549, 30% at 0.5 dm!, 80% at 1 mplm!. 4. BJHDT exmcb inhibited CAM angiogenesis up to 40%. 6. BIHDT extracb prolonged life span of ICR mice bearing S-180 sarcoma cells up to 127.1%. 7. In FACS analysis, the population of helper T cell and tended to increase. 8. Pmliferatbn rate of splenoeyte WBS inneased at 0.5mglml or more in a dase dependent fashim as compared with Control. These resulb suggested that BIHDT exham might k usefully applied for treatment of cancer and also it was necessary m do more studies about its mechanisms.

        扶正益氣方의 抗癌活性과 免疫調節作用에 관한 硏究

        To evaluate the antitum or activity and immune response Bujungikgibang(BJ1GB) studies were done experimentally. The results were obtained as follows: 1. BJIGB extracts exhibited a weak cytotoxicity against SK-OV-3, and SK-MEL-2 cell lines. While it showed cytotoxicity against B16-Fl0 cell line up to 30% of control at concentration of 0.5 mg/ml. 2. BJIGB extracts significantly showed inhibitoty effect on DNA topoisomerase 1 from calf thymus in a dose-dependant manner. 3. BJIGB extracts showed antiadhesive rates against A549, at 30% at 0.5 mg/ml, 60% at 1 mg/ml 4. BJIGB extracts inhibited CAM angiogenesis up to 60%. 5. BJIGB extracts prolonged life span of ICR mice bearing S-180 sarcoma cells up to 130.5%. 6. In FACS analysis, the population of helper T cell was increased weakly, while cytotoxity T cell was decreased insignificantly. 7. The production of nitric oxide in RAW cell stimulated by LPS was incresed at 0.5mg/ml or more in dose dependant fashion as compared with control. 8. Proliferation rate of splenocyte was increased at 0.5mg/ml or more a dose dependant fashion as compared with control. These results suggested that BJIGB extracts might be usefully applied for treatement of cancer and also it was nesessary to do more studies about its mechnisms.

        급성 조증에서 기분안정제와 리스페리돈의 병합 투여 효과 : 다기관 개방연구

        Ohjective : The primary purpose of this study was a replication of the effectiveness and tolerability of rispehdone in the treatment of patients with acute mania in very larger cohon in naturalistic treatment setting to extend the data on the effect and tolerability of risperidone in the treatment of patients with acute mania to Asian population. Methods : A total of 909 patients with DSM-TV criteria of bipolar disorder current manic and hypomanic episode, entered this large, open, multicentre study. The Young Mania Rating Scale (YMRS), Clinical Global Impression (CGI) and Simpson-Angus Rating Scale (SARS) were measured at baseline and weeks 1, 3 and 6, for the assessment of effectiveness and extra-pyramidal symptom (EPS). Results : This study showed statistically significant reduction of scores on the YMRS and CGI-s (mean change=-23.5±11.8, p<0.0001 ; mean change=-2.7±1.5, p<0.0001, respectively) from the baseline to the endpoint (week 6). Number of patients with 50% reduction or more in the YMRS and CGI-s scores was 693 (77.8%) and 630 (70.7%) at endpoint, respec-tively. There were no statistically significant increments of scores on SARS. Risperidone was generally well tolerated. Conclusion : The present larger open study demonstrates that hsperidone add-on therapy is effective and tolerable in treat-ment of bipolar disorder, replicating results in various controlled and uncontrolled studies from Western countries.

      • A Pilot Study in Spatial-Dynamic Modeling of Foot-and-Mouth Diseases Outbreak for Livestock in Korea: A System Dynamics Approach

        The Foot-and-Mouth Disease is a major limiting factor in the livestock industry of Korea. To cope with the outbreak of FMD, Korean government and industry has employed several counter-measures such as road blockage-disinfection and stamping-out of infected animals. However, the situation could not be contained effectively. To understand and to control the spread of the disease better, a spatial-dynamic model of the disease has been built, using the system dynamics approach and the visualization technique with Spatial MapTM. The simulation result indicates that such a model can contribute to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the control measures. Several suggestions to improve the practicality of the model have been made.

        A System Dynamics Approach to Evaluate Nutritional Strategies to Decrease Nutrient Excretion from Batch Swine Production Facilities

        A system dynamics model of pig growth and associated farm level economic impact is developed to evaluate the economic feasibility of three nutritional approaches (phase feeding, avoiding over-formulation and more accurate estimate of nutrient requirements) to reduce nutrient excretion. The strategies are evaluated in terms of point elasticity of nutrient excretion with respect to profit. Model simulations suggest that more accurate nutrient requirement estimations may be a more profitable strategy than the other strategies evaluated to reduce nutrient excretion from swine producing facilities.

      • Percutaneous Coronary Intervention for Nonculprit Vessels in Cardiogenic Shock Complicating ST-Segment Elevation Acute Myocardial Infarction*

        OBJECTIVES:: We investigated the clinical impact of multivessel percutaneous coronary intervention in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock with multivessel disease. DESIGN:: A prospective, multicenter, observational study. SETTING:: Cardiac ICU of a university hospital. PATIENTS:: Between November 2005 and September 2010, 338 patients were selected. Inclusion criteria were as follows: 1) ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction with cardiogenic shock and 2) multivessel disease with successful primary percutaneous coronary intervention for the infarct-related artery. Patients were divided into multivessel percutaneous coronary intervention and culprit-only percutaneous coronary intervention. INTERVENTIONS:: None. MEASUREMENTS AND MAIN RESULTS:: Primary outcome was all-cause mortality. Median follow-up duration was 224 days (interquartile range, 46–383 d). Multivessel percutaneous coronary intervention was performed during the primary percutaneous coronary intervention in 60 patients (17.8%). In-hospital mortality was similar in both groups (multivessel percutaneous coronary intervention vs culprit-only percutaneous coronary intervention, 31.7% vs 24.5%; p = 0.247). All-cause mortality during follow-up was not significantly different between the two groups after adjusting for patient, angiographic, and procedural characteristics as well as propensity scores for receiving multivessel percutaneous coronary intervention (35.0% vs 30.6%; adjusted hazard ratio, 1.06; 95% CI, 0.61–1.86; p = 0.831). There were no significant differences between the groups in rates of major adverse cardiac events (41.7% vs 37.1%; adjusted hazard ratio, 1.03; 95% CI, 0.62–1.71; p = 0.908) and any revascularization (6.7% vs 4.7%; adjusted hazard ratio, 1.88; 95% CI, 0.51–6.89; p = 0.344). CONCLUSIONS:: Multivessel percutaneous coronary intervention could not reduce the prevalence of mortality in patients with cardiogenic shock complicating ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction and multivessel disease during primary percutaneous coronary intervention.

      • Encapsulation mechanism of N<sub>2</sub> molecules into the central hollow of carbon nitride multiwalled nanofibers

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Nitrogen molecules have been encapsulated into the central hollows of vertically aligned carbon nitride (CN) multiwalled nanofibers by dc plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition with C<SUB>2</SUB>H<SUB>2</SUB>, NH<SUB>3</SUB>, and N<SUB>2</SUB> gases on a Ni/TiN/Si(100) substrate at 650°C. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and near-edge X-ray absorption fine structure spectra showed the existence of nitrogen molecules in CN nanofibers. Elemental mapping images with electron energy loss spectroscopy of the CN nanofiber and catalyst metal, and optical emission spectroscopy spectra of the plasma showed the distribution of nitrogen atoms and molecules in the CN nanofiber, catalyst metal, and gaseous precursor, respectively. These studies showed that atomic nitrogen diffused into the catalytic metal particle because of the concentration gradient and then saturated at the bottom of the particle. Saturated nitrogen atom participated in the formation of the CN nanofiber wall but most of nitrogen was trapped in the central hollow of the nanofiber as molecules.</P>

      • A Non-cooperative Game Theoretic Approach to Dust and Sand Storm in North East Asia

        Song and Nagaki(2007)에 나타나 있는 것과 같은 동북아지역의 황사(먼지모래폭풍: DSS) 저감을 위한 비음부담 공조체제는 참여국의 협정불이행으로 실행가능성에 문제가 제기된다. 만일 비협조적 전략이 각국에게 보다 현실적이 라면, 내쉬균형이 실현가능한 비용분담 게임의 결과를 예측하게 하여줄 수 있다. 본 연구에 따르면, 연속전략게임의 경우, ADB의 황사저감사업의 비용이 각국 투자에 의해 조달된다는 가정하에 무한한 내쉬균형이 발견된다. 또한, 비연속전략은 3각형 평면으로 나타나는 연속전략의 내쉬균형의 꼭짓점으로 나타나게 되며, 공조적 게임의 결과는 무한한 균형 점들을 1개의 점으로 수렴하게 된다. The cooperative cost sharing scheme for Dust and Sand Storm(DSS) in North East Asia, as suggested in Song and Nagaki(2007), may not be feasible due to possible defection(s) of participating countries. If non-cooperative strategies are more plausible, Nash equilibrium can suggest possible outcomes of the cost sharing game. The result from the continuous strategy model shows that there exists an infinite number of Nash equilibrium such that the summation of investment from each country is always equal to the required budget of the ADS pilot project. It is also discussed that the discrete strategy model points to only 3 Nash equilibria in continuous strategy game outcome and the cooperative game solution may be just one of the infinite equilibria.
