안구 마우스를 이용한 전신마비 환자용 홈 네트워크 시스템

본 연구에서는 전신마비 환자들이 안구 마우스를 사용하여 전등,선풍기,창문 제어 및 침대 각도 조절을 할 수 있고,보호자에게 소변통 알림과 응급메시지 알림을 보낼 수 있는 홈 네트워크 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. 또한 전신마비 환자들뿐만 아니라 일반 사용자들도 이용할 수 있도록 동일한 기능을 모바일 어플리케이션으로 구현한다. 본 연구의 입력장치인 안구 마우스는 삼성전자 창의개발연구소에서 개발한 eyeCm을 사용하였다. 전체적인 시스템은 Arduino를 사용하여 제어하고,무선 통신은 Xbee모듈을 사용하여 구현하였다. 기존의 홈 네트워크 시스템은 일반 사용자들만 이용할 수 있지만, 본 연구에서는 루게릭 환자처럼 전신을 움직이지 못하는 환자들에게 최적화된 홈 네트워크 시스템을 구축하여 소외계층의 스마트 기기에 대한 접근성을 높이고,자립심을 키울 수 있도록 도와준다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

We examined the effect of oil retention on the heat transfer performance of a shell-and-tube-type evaporator which had 26 inner tubes and was filled with the refrigerant R-134a. The refrigerant was boiled on the surface of the inner tubes in the evaporator, while chilled water circulated through these tubes. An experimental apparatus was designed to measure both the pressure and temperature profiles at the inlet and outlet of the flooded evaporator. Four windows were installed for observing the operation of the flooded evaporator. A series of experiments were carried out under the following conditions: the refrigerant saturation temperature, 5 oC; refrigerant inlet quality, 0.1; heat fluxes from water to the refrigerant, 5-7 kW/m2. The concentration of the oil retained in the refrigerant was then varied up to approximately 10% to observe the effect on the heat transfer performance of the flooded evaporator. Increasing the oil content (i.e., increasing the concentration up to a maximum of approximately 10%) in the refrigerant R134a did not lead to any appreciable reduction in the overall heat transfer coefficient of a flooded evaporator with multiple-innertubes. When the oil concentration in the refrigerant was approximately 10%, the heat transfer degradation in the case of the flooded evaporator with multiple-inner-tubes was approximately 11%, which was found to be much smaller than the heat transfer degradation in the case of a flooded evaporator with a single-tube (26-49%). This observation suggested that the oil retained in the refrigerant did not significantly deteriorate the heat transfer performance of the flooded evaporator, presumably because the presence of tube bundles promoted forced convection by agitating bubbles.

Myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) actively suppress immune cells and have been considered as an impediment to successful cancer immunotherapy. Many approaches have been made to overcome such immunosuppressive factors and to exert effective anti-tumor effects, but the possibility of using medicinal plants for this purpose has been overlooked. Korean red ginseng (KRG) is widely known to possess a variety of pharmacological properties, including immunoboosting and anti-tumor activities. However, Little has been done to assess the anti-tumor activity of KRG on MDSCs. Therefore, we examined the effects of KRG on MDSCs in tumor-bearing mice and evaluated immunostimulatory and anti-tumor activities of KRG through MDSC modulation. The data show that intraperitoneal administration of KRG compromises MDSC function and induces T cell proliferation and the secretion ofIL-2 and IFN-y, while it does not exhibit direct cytotoxicity on tumor cells and reduced MDSC accumulation. MDSCs isolated from KRG-treated mice also express significantly lower levels of inducible nitric oxide synthase and IL-I 0 accompanied by a decrease in nitric oxide production compared with control. Taken together, the present study demonstrates that KRG enhances T cell function by inhibiting the immunosuppressive activity of MDSCs and suggests that although KRG alone does not exhibit direct anti-tumor effects, the use of KRG together with conventional chemo- or immunotherapy may provide better outcomes to cancer patients through MDSC modulation.

최근 온라인 매체에서 무분별한 비속어나 욕설 사용이 늘어남에 따라 유해한 텍스트를 자동으로 필터링하는 시스템의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 유해 텍스트 필터링 관련 기존의 접근방법은 채팅 프로그램 등 특정 프로그램에 한하여 적용이 되거나 특정 포탈의 웹페이지에 국한되어 적용이 되는 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 AI를 활용하여 모든 웹 페이지의 유해 텍스트를 필터링할 수 있는 Chrome Extension을 구현하고 그 유효성을 검증한다.
