        캘리그래피(Calligraphy) 수업에 있어 재료의 활용이 수업성과에 미치는 영향

        현대 사회는 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 이러한 변화와 더불어 디자인도 다양한 분야에서 변화되고 있다. 최근에 볼 수 있는 디자인의 경향중 하나는 감성디자인으로 과거의 디자인접근방법에 비하여 인간의 감성을 디자인에 충실히 담으려는 노력이다. 이러한 변화는 학교교육에서도 마찬가지로 나타나고 있는데 현재 디자인교육의 중요성과 필요성이 높아지고 있는 것이 이를 설명하고 있다. 이에 따라 전문계고등학교에서 디자인과의 신설 및 디자인특성화고등학교가 늘어나고 있다. 그러므로 디자인교육의 양적 성장과 더불어 디자인교육 또한 변화되고 발전되어야 할 것이다. 최근 디자인분야의 대표적인 추세중의 하나인 감성디자인을 디자인교육에 접목하는 것은 큰 의미가 있다 하겠다. 이에 본 연구에서는 현대 디자인에서 쉽게 접할 수 있는 캘리그래피(Calligraphy)에 관한 것으로, 동일하게 주어진 재료가 아니라 다양한 재료를 사용하게 하는 것이 학생들의 흥미도 높이고 이에 따른 수업의 집중도도 높아질 것이라는 가설을 세우고, 이를 실험을 통해 검증하는 연구를 실시하였다. 이 연구를 위하여 4차시의 수업지도안을 작성하여 2개의 학급을 대상으로 실시하였으며, 실험집단과 통제집단으로 모형을 설계하였다. 실험집단에는 재료의 다양성을 제공하고, 통제집단에는 일반재료의 사용을 통한 수업을 적용하였다. 실험적용 결과 연구를 통해 얻어지는 결론은 다음과 같다. 다양한 재료의 선택이 집중도에 큰 영향을 미치지 않으며, 다양한 재료를 학습할 때에는 재료의 특성과 성향에 대한 사전교육이 중요하며, 수업을 진행할 때에는 재료의 특성과 성향에 대한 사전교육의 중요성에 대해 알 수 있었다. The modern society is rapidly changing. Along with such changes, design in mane areas is changing. One of the recent trends that can be seen is emotion design, an effort to put human sensibility into design compared to the design approach of the past. Such changes can be also seen in school education in that the importance and necessity of design education is increasing. As a result vocational high schools are establishing new departments for design and special high schools for design are increasing. Here as well as the quantitative growth of design education, the education itself should change and improve. Adding emotion design, one of the representative trends recently in the design field, can be very meaningful. Therefore, this study regarding Calligraphy, verifies the hypothesis, using various materials rather than same materials can increase students` interest and concentration to the class, by experiments. For the research, teaching plans for 4 lessons were written and the subjects of the experiment were 2 classes. The model was designed to have experimental group and control group. The experimental group was provided with various materials and in the control group`s lessons, normal materials were used. The results of the experiment are as follows. Using various materials does not have a significant effect to concentration, the orientation process regarding the characteristics of materials is important when studying with various materials, and to run the class, orientation process about property of materials is important.

      • Sezary증후군과 병발된 용혈성 빈혈 1예

        저자등은 전신적인 소양감을 동반한 홍반성 판상의 피부 병변과 자가 면역성 용혈성 빈혈이 동반된 Sezary 증후군을 진단하고 복합 화학 요법 CHOP으로 치료하여 피부 증상과 빈혈이 호전된 예를 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하였다. Sezary syndrome(SS), a leukemic variant of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma(CTCL), is monoclonal proliferation of CD4 T-cell having cerebriform nuclei in the skin and the peripheral blood. It is associated with erythroderma, pruritis, lymphadenopathy with protracted clinical course and systemic spread. We present a case of SS i a 38-year-old woman with generalized exfoliative erythroderma, plaques, and pruritus. Histopathologic findings of the skin lesions revealed infiltration of atypical lymphocytes in the dermis and epidermis. Electron microscopic findings of peripheral blood and skin showed atypical lymphocytes with cerebriform nuclei. Laboratory findings revealed direct Coombs' positive autoimmune hemolytic anemia, a rare association of SS. Chemotherapy with CHOP produced improvement of the skin manifestation and anemia.

        위절제술 후 담낭운동의 변화 및 우르소데옥시콜산의 효과

        Background/Aims: The aims of this study were to evaluate the change of gallbladder motility in gastrectomized patients and to investigate the change of gallbladder motility after administration of ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA). Methods: Prospective serial ultrasonographic study was performed in forty-six gastrectomized patients and thirty-seven healthy controls. Twenty-four patients who had low ejection fraction were studied after administration of ursodeoxycholic acid (1000 mg, daily). Results: The mean fasting (FV) and postprandial (PV) gallbladder volume were significantly increased in gas trectomized patients (FV 30.2 ±13.9 mL, PV 12.6 ±6.4 mL), compared with controls (FV 17.2 ±5.8 mL, PV 4.3 ±3.3 mL). The ejection fraction of gallbladder in gastrectomized patients (56.9 ±13.0%) was significantly lower than that in controls (75.5 ±16.1%). The ejection fraction was recovered slowly after gastrectomy. However, there was no significant difference between UDCA-treated group (71.5 ±11.9%) and non-treaup (71.4 ±13.9%). Conclusions: Gastrectomy may increase the risk of gallbladder stones or sludges by inducing gallbladder dysmotility. Ursodeoxycholic acid does no seem to affect gallbladder motility.

        흰쥐에서 폐 방사선 조사 후 interleukin - 1α ( IL-1α ) 및 interleukin - 6 ( IL-6 ) 발현에 대한 연구

        연구배경: 방사선 조사는 흉부 종양의 치료에 중요한 역할을 하지만 방사선 폐렴 때문에 용량의 제한을 받는다. 이런 폐 손상의 기전을 이해함으로써 부작용을 줄이고 손상을 예방할 수 있는 방법을 찾기 위하여 폐 섬유화에 기인한다고 알려져 있는 interleukin-1 alpha (IL-6 α)와 interleukin-6 (IL-6)의 방사선 폐 손상에서의 역할을 알아보기 위하여 이 연구를 시작하였다. 실험 방법: 30마리의 흰쥐를 대상으로 우측 폐에 20 Gy를 단일 조사하고, 20주까지 2주 간격으로 흰쥐를 희생시킨 후 절제한 폐조직에 대하여 일반병리조직학적 검사 및 IL-1α와 IL-6에 대한 면역조직화학적 연구를 실시하여 결과를 분석하였다. 결과: 방사선 조사 1∼2주 후까지는 폐간질의 부종, 모세혈관의 울혈이 주된 소견이었다. 4주까지는 폐포내에 대식구 및 림프구 등의 단핵구와 단백양 물질이 증가하였고, 폐포간격에도 단핵구들의 침윤이 관찰되었으며 이러한 소견은 8주까지 진행되었다. 6주부터 20주까지 염증세포의 침윤과 더불어 점차 진행되는 폐섬유화를 관찰하였다. IL-1α 및 IL-6의 발현정도에 대한 염색은 전 기간을 통하여 증가하는 양상을 보였지만 3주 전후까지는 급격한 증가를 보였고 그 후부터는 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 염색반응은 주로 폐포간질, 폐포내 및 기관지주위의 대식구, 폐포세포, 혹은 혈관내피세포에서 관찰되었다. 12주에서 20주까지는 섬유모세포에서도 염색되었지만 섬유화가 진행된 병변에서는 그 염색정도가 약한 반면 주변 폐포부위의 염색정도는 강하게 나타났다. 방사선 조사로 유도한 흰쥐의 폐손상은 시간의 경과에 따라 방사선 폐렴에서 폐섬유화로 진행되었고 이러한 폐손상의 진행에 따른 IL-1α 및 IL-6의 발현에 대한 염색정도는 급격히 증가하여 3주경에서 최고치를 나타내다가 그 이후부터는 감소하였지만 조사 후 희생까지의 전기간에 걸쳐 증가되어 있었다. 결론: IL-1α 및 IL-6는 방사선 조사 후 섬유화성 진행을 보이기 전단계에서 발현되어 폐섬유화 유발인자로 작용하는 것으로 생각된다. Background: One of the limitation during the irradiation of malignant tumor is hazard to normal tissue although it is important and effective tool for treating malignant tumor. We studied the role of interleukin-1 alpha (IL-1α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the radiation-induced lung injury especially on fibrosis. Methods: We irradiated right-side lungs of thirty Sprague-Dawley rats with single fraction of 20 Gy and then sacrificed the animals until 20th week at intervals of two weeks. Both irradiated and unirradiated lung tissues were stained hematoxilin and eosin, Masson trichrome, reticulin and immunohistochemical staining for IL-1α and IL-6. The degree of the staining for IL-1α and IL-6 were examined semiquantitatively. Results: Two weeks after irradiation interstitial edema and capillary congestion appeared, followed by increase of the monocytes infiltration and proteinaceous material during 4th and 8th week. After eight weeks of irradiation, collagen and reticulin fibers were detected along alveolar wall. 12th to 20th week, fibrosis in interstitium, decreased number of alveoli and thickening of bronchial wall were observed. The degree of immunohistochemical staining for IL-1α and IL-6 was increased rapidly during the first three week and then decreased slowly, but remain increased until 20th week. Conclusion: Our Study demonstrate the early and persistent elevation of cytokines IL-1α and IL-6 by immunohistochemical stain in rat lung following pulmonary irradiation. We think cytokines are produced immediately after irradiation, make collagen genes turn on and perisist until the expression of late effects become apparent pathologically and clinically.         Efficacy of <i>Escherichia coli</i>-derived recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 in posterolateral lumbar fusion: an open, active-controlled, randomized, multicenter trial

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P><B>Background Context</B></P> <P>The efficacy and safety of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2) as a bone graft substitute in spinal fusion has been widely researched. However, no study of the efficacy and safety of <I>Escherichia coli</I>-derived rhBMP-2 (E.BMP-2) with a hydroxyapatite (HA) carrier has been proposed.</P> <P><B>Purpose</B></P> <P>This study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of fusion materials between E.BMP-2 and autogenous iliac bone graft in posterolateral fusion (PLF).</P> <P><B>Study Design/Setting</B></P> <P>An open, active-controlled, randomized, multicenter trial was carried out.</P> <P><B>Patient Sample</B></P> <P>This study included 93 patients who underwent single-level lumbar or lumbosacral PLF.</P> <P><B>Outcome Measures</B></P> <P>The primary outcome measure was computed tomography (CT)-based fusion rate at 12 and 24 weeks. Secondary outcome measures were fusion grade by radiographs and CT at 12 and 24 weeks and changes in Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), Short Form-36 (SF-36) Health Survey, and visual analogue scale (VAS).</P> <P><B>Methods</B></P> <P>Patients who underwent 1-level PLF (between L1 and S1) for severe spinal stenosis or grade 1 spondylolisthesis were randomized to receive E.BMP-2 with an HA carrier (E.BMP-2 group) or autogenous iliac bone graft (AIBG group). Thin-section CT (<2 mm), VAS, ODI, and SF-36 were obtained pre- and postoperatively at 12 and 24 weeks. Outcome measures were compared between the groups.</P> <P><B>Results</B></P> <P>A total of 100 patients were enrolled in this trial. Among them, 93 patients underwent planned surgery. Preoperative demographic and clinical data showed no difference between groups. CT-based fusion rates were 100.0% (41/41) for the E.BMP-2 group and 90.2% (46/51) for the AIBG group (p=.062) at 12 weeks and 100.0% (41/41) and 94.1% (48/51) (p=.251) at 24 weeks, respectively. Fusion grade based on radiographs and CT showed non-inferiority of the E.BMP-2 group compared with the AIBG group. All clinical parameters improved postoperatively. However, there was no difference in changes in VAS, ODI, or SF-36 between the groups. No serious adverse event related to E.BMP-2 was found.</P> <P><B>Conclusions</B></P> <P>The fusion rate of E.BMP-2 was comparable with that of AIBG following PLF. Good clinical efficacy and safety of E.BMP-2 in spinal fusion were also revealed. It was also suggested that HA shows suitability as a carrier for E.BMP-2. Thus, E.BMP-2 with an HA carrier can be an alternative bone graft material in spinal fusion.</P>

        Isolation of a Nisin-Producing Lactococcus Lactis Strain from Kimchi and Characterization of its nisZ Gene

        Bacteriocin-producing lactic acid bacteria were isolated from kimchi. One isolate producing the most efficient bacteriocin was identified and named Lactococcus lactis B2, based on the biochemical properties and l6S rDNA sequences. The B2 bacteriocin inhibited many different Gram positive bacteria including Lactococcus, Lactobacillus, Leuconostoc, Enterococcus, Streptococcus, and Staphylococcus, but did not inhibit Gram-negative bacteria. The bacteriocin was maximally produced at temperatures between 25℃ and 30℃ and at the initial pH of 7.0. Ninety % of the activity remained after 10 min of heat treatment at 121℃, and 100% after 1 h exposure to organic solvents. The bacteriocin was purified from culture supernatant by ammonium sulfate precipitation, CM Sepharose column chromatography, ultrafiltration, and finally, by reverse-phase HPLC. A 1.58-kb fragment was amplified from B2 chromosome by using a primer set designed from the published nisA sequence. Sequencing result showed that the fragment contained the whole nisZ and 5` portion of nisB, whose gene product was involved in postmodification of nisin. The upstream sequence, however, was completely different from those of reported nisin genes.
