電流 制御形 PWM 초퍼에 의한 磁器 浮上用 電子石 驅動에 관한 硏究

This paper designs a chopper system to drive a magnet of a magnetic levitation system. The chopper system consists of bridge type chopper with two switching devices and two freewheeling diodes. For the given system, harmonic component of source current is analyzed according to its freewheeling type. Also, its operating charateristic is analyzed by simulating the load current waveform according to the type of current controller. From the results of simulation and harmonic analysis, in terms of current controllability, current ripple and switching frequency, load freewheeling type chopper system wish ramp comparison controller is proven to be suitable. Thus the load freewheeling type chopper system with ramp comparison controller is designed and the feasibility of the proposed system is examined through experiment.

Background : Peroxiredoxins(Prx) play an important role in regulating cellular differentiation and proliferation in several types of mammalian cells. One mechanism for this action involves modulation of hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)-mediated cellular responses. This report examines the expression of Prx I and Prx II in thyroid cells and their roles in eliminating H2O2 produced in response to TSH. Methods : The expression of Prx-I and Prx-II were quantiated in FRTL-5 after stimulation with Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), Forskolin (FSK), Methimazole (MMI) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Transient transfections were carried out with FRTL-5 cells at 80% confluency and 20?g of pCRprx I and pCRprx II or equivalent molar amounts of the pCR3.1TM basic vector. Transient transfection used an electroporation technique. Intracellular H2O2 was assayed in FRTL-5 cells with a fluorescent dye, 2', 7'-dichlorofluoresceindiacetate(DCFH-DA). Apoptosis of cells were evaluated by using an detection kit (Promega, Inc., Madison, WI). Results : Prx I and Prx II are constitutively expressed in FRTL-5 thyroid cells. Prx I expression, but not Prx II expression, is stimulated by exposure to TSH and H2O2. In addition, methimazole(MMI) induces a high level of Prx I mRNA and protein in these cells. Overexpression of Prx I and Prx II enhance the elimination of H2O2 produced by TSH in FRTL-5 cells. Treatment with 500?M H2O2 causes apoptosis in FRTL-5 cells as evidenced by standard assays of apoptosis(i.e., terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase deoxyuridine triphosphate-biotin nick end-labeling(TUNEL), BAX expression and PARP cleavage. Overexpression of Prx I and Prx II reduces the amount of H2O2-induced apoptosis measured by these assays. Conclusion : These results suggest that Prx I and Prx II are involved in the removal of H2O2 in thyroid cells, and can protect these cells from undergoing apoptosis. These proteins are likely to be involved in the normal physiological response to TSH-induced production of H2O2 in thyroid cells(J Kor Soc Endocrinol15:55-69, 2000).

<P>In general, plastic strain occurs over a certain stress, called yield stress. However, it has been reported that the permanent strain could happen during boundary migrating even under the extremely slight externally applied stress. In this study, we performed dilatometry experiments under the various compressive stresses and measured the amount of recrystallization and growth induced permanent strain. A new empirical constitutive equation was suggested to describe the recrystallization and growth induced plasticity. This equation was verified by comparing the calculated values with dilatometric experimental data under the various compressive stresses.</P>
Reference ranges for induced sputum eosinophil counts in Korean adult population

<P><B>Background</B></P><P>Induced sputum analyses are widely utilized to evaluate airway inflammation in asthmatics. However, the values have not been examined in Korean adults.</P><P><B>Objective</B></P><P>The purpose of this study is to determine reference ranges for induced sputum eosinophils and their influencing factors in Korean adults.</P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P>A total of 208 healthy nonasthmatic adults were recruited. Sputum induction and processing followed the international standard protocols.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>Adequate sputum samples were successfully collected from 81 subjects (38.9%). The upper 90 percentile for sputum eosinophil was calculated as 3.5%. The median value of eosinophil count percentage was significantly higher in subjects with atopy than those without atopy (median, 1.6%; range, 0-11.0% vs. median, 0%; range 0-3.6%, <I>p</I>=0.030). However, no significant correlations were found with age, gender, body mass index, smoking status, blood eosinophil, or fractional exhaled nitric oxide levels.</P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P>Current study was the first attempt to determine the reference ranges of induced sputum eosinophils in Korean adults. The cutoff value for sputum eosinophilia was 3.5%, and was significantly associated with atopy.</P>
