        우리나라 산업의 정밀측정기술 수준분석

        The precision measurement technology is the infrastructure of industry technology and thus it is the critical element in the quality and hi-tech products. Nevertheless, the precision measurement technology in Korean industry is the lower level of the advanced state. In this study, we survey the demand of precision measurement technology including instrument and technologies in Korean industry, and provide the objective data on the level of precision measurement technology based on the report "A Study on the Current Status of Precision Measurement in Korea(KRISS, 2001)" . We summarize contents on the precision measurement technology in Korean industry, provide the assessment model for the level of precision measurement technology, and analyze the results of these. The level of the precision measurement technology of National Standards Institution, MISS, approaches those of the advanced state, but levels of the precision measurement technology in Korean industry are 2-3 years behind levels of National Standards Institution. Analysis model and results are analyzed for the important index to compare the levels of the precision measurement technology in Korean industry. Therefore, it is expected to provide the development for precision measurement technology and improve the system of precision measuring instruments, level of precision and accuracy, calibration, technical manpower for measurement etc. in Korean industry.

        어떤 흰쥐 뇌에서 부신절제가 전기경련 충격에 의한 조기유전자 발현에 미치는 영향

        부신피질 호르몬이 70g 이내의 어린 흰쥐의 뇌에서 전기경련 충격에 의한 조기유전자(IEG)의 발현에 미치는 급성 효과 및 만성 효과를 살펴보기 위하여 본 연구를 수행하였다. 70g 이내의 생식선이 발달하지 않은 수컷 Sprague-Dawley 흰쥐에서 양측 부신을 절제한지 3일과 14일 후에 전기경련 충격으로 경련을 유발시켜 대뇌 피질과 해마에서 c-fos, jun B, TIS 1 의 발현 양상을 관찰하고 이를 대조군과 비교하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1) 부신절제 후 대뇌 피질에서 전기경련 충격에 의한 c-fos와 jun B mRNA 발현은 일찍 최대치에 도달하고 일찍 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, 초기의 발현이 강화되는 경향을 보였다. 이러한 경향은 jun B가 c-fos 보다 뚜렷하였으며, 부신절제 후 3일이 경과된 경우보다 14일이 경과된 경우가 뚜렷하였다. 2) TIS 1의 경우에는 대뇌 피질에서 이러한 초기 발현의 강화가 관찰되지 않았으며, 부신절제 14일된 어린 흰쥐에서만 발현이 억제되는 경향을 보였다. 3) 부신절제는 해마에서는 전기경련 충격에 의한 c-fos와 jun B의 발현에 영향을 미치지 않았다. 부신절제 3일 후 전기경련 충격에 의한 TIS 1의 발현은 억제되는 경향이 관찰되었으나, 부신절제 14일 후에는 이러한 경향이 관찰되지 않았다. 이상의 결과로부터 부신절제는 전기경련 충격에 의한 IEG의 발현에 영향을 미치며, 그 영향은 흰쥐의 뇌의 부위, IEG의 종류에 따라 차이가 있음을 알수 있었고, 흰쥐의 연령 및 부신피질 호르몬을 제거한 기간 등의 영향도 있음을 확인할수 있었다. To evaluate the influences of adrenocortical hormone on the signal transduction system in young brain, the authors observed the effects of bilateral adrenalectomy on the induction of immediate early genes(IEGs) such as c-fos, jun B, and TIS 1 by electroconvulsive shock(ECS) in the young rats. The young(70g) male Sprague-Dawley rats were treated with ECS(130V, 0.5sec) at day 3 or 14 after bilateral adrenalectomy. They were sacrificed at 0, 15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes after ECS and cerebral cortex and hippocampus were dissected from their brans . The induction of IEGs were assessed with northern by hybridization. The band intensities of the autoradiographs measured by densitometer were compared between adrenalectomized group and sham-operated control group. In the cerebral cortex, c-fos and jun B appeared and disappeared earlier, and enhanced in the earlier phase of the induction in the adrenalectomized group. These trends were more prominent for jun B than for c-fos, and were more prominent at day 14 than at day 3 after adrenalectomy. The induction of TIS 1 was attenuated at day 14 after adrenalectomy. In the hippocampus, the induction of c-fos and jun B by ECS was not influenced by adrenalectomy. The induction of TIS 1 was attenuated at day 3 after adrenalectomy. These results suggest that adrenalectomy has influences on the induction of IEGs by ECS in rat brain differently, depending on the brain region, the kind of IEGs, the age of the rats, and the time passed after adrenalectomy.

        부신절제가 전기경련 충격에 의한 흰쥐 뇌의 조기유전자 발현에 미치는 영향

        부신피질 호르몬이 뇌에서 전기경련 충격(ECS)에 의한 조기유전자(IEG)의 발현에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 본 연구를 수행하였다. 양측 부신을 절제한 수컷 Sprague-Dawley 흰쥐에서 부신을절제한 지 3일 후에 ECS로 경련을 유발시켜 대뇌 피질, 해마 및 소뇌에서 c-fos, jun B, TIS 1의 발현 양상을 관찰하고 이를 대조군과 비교하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1) 부신절제 후 대뇌 피질에서 ECS에 의한 c-fos와 jun B 및 TIS 1 mRNA 발현은 대조군에 비하여 억제되었다. 2) 해마와 소뇌에서는 IEG의 종류에 상관없이 부신절제가 ECS에 의한 IEG의 발현에 별 영향을 미치지 않았다. 이상의 결과로부터 부신절제는 ECS에 의한 IEG의 발현에 영향을 미치며, 그 영향은 뇌의 부위에 따라 다름을 확인할 수 있었다. 부신피질 호르몬이 IEG 발현에 영향을 미치는 기전에 대하여 고찰하였다. The adrenocortical hormones have been known to be related with the pathogenesis of mental disorders and individual vulnerability to stress. To evaluate the influences of adrenocortical hormone on the signal transduction system in rat brain, the authors observed the effects of bilateral adrenalectomy on the induction of immediate early genes(IEGs) after electroconvulsive shock(ECS). Male Sprague-Dawley rats(200 - 250g) were treated with ECS(130V, 0.5sec) at day 3 after bilateral adrenalectomy. Rats were sacrificed at 0, 15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes after ECS, and cerebral cortex, hippocampus, and cerebellum were dissected from the brain. The induction of IEGs was assessed with northern hybridization. The band intensities of the autoradiographs measured with densitometer were compared between adrenalectomized group and sham-operated control group. After adrenalectomy, the c-fos, jun B, and TIS 1 induction by ECS was generally attenuated in the cerebral cortex. The induction of IEGs in the hippocampus and in the cerebellum was not influenced by adrenalectomy. These results suggest that adrenalectomy has differential influences on the induction of IEGs by ECS in the rat brain depending on the region of brain.

        둥시 장아찌 제조 과정 중 이화학적 특성 변화

        떫은감 품종의 하나인 등시를 이용하여 감장아찌 제조 중 과육의 이화학적 변화를 조사한 결과, 염도 변화는 저농도 간장 및 된장 침지의 경우 다소 완만한 증가를 보였고, 고농도의 간장 및 된장 침지의 경우 침지 기간내내 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 간장 침지액 감장아찌의 경도는 간장 및 된장 모두 20-80% 농도에서는 침지 초기에는 증가하다가 침지 기간이 경과할수록 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 간장 침지 감장아찌의 색도 변화는 저장기간이 경과할수록 명도가 낮아지는 경향이었고, 적색도와 황색도는 침지액 농도를 달리하였을 경우 농도가 낮을수록, 침지 기간이 길어질수록 높았으며, 침지액 농도에 따른 차이는 크지 않았다. 침지액의 간장 및 된장의 농도를 달리하였을 때 감장아찌 중의 탄닌함량의 변화는 모든 침지액 농도에서 침지 기간이 지속될수록 탄닌의 함량은 저장 초기에 서서히 감소되다가 침지 기간이 길어질수록 급격히 감소하였으며, 첨가량에 따른 탄닌함량의 변화폭은 크지 않았다. 침지액의 간장 및 된장의 농도를 달리하였을 때 감과육에 존재하는 연화효소인 polygalacturonase와 pectinesterase 활성 변화는 간장침지 및 된장침지 모두 침지 초기부터 효소활성이 증가하기 시작하였으며 침지 기간이 경화할수록 효소활성은 더욱 높아지는 것을 알 수 있었고, 침지액의 농도가 높아질수록 효소활성이 억제되었다. Changes of physicochemical properties during the preparation of persimmon pickles were investigated. The salinity in persimmon pickles increased during storage time (0~50 days) with soy sauce and soy paste. When the fermented soy sauce and soy paste was added to the soaking solution with 80~100%, the salinity increased more rapidly. The hardness of persimmon pickles with soy sauce and soy paste was slightly increased up to the 20 or 30th day of storage and then decreased. L value of persimmon pickles was gradually decreased, but a and b value were slightly increased. The concentration of soluble tannin in persimmon pickles was slightly decreased down to the 20th day of storage and then decreased rapidly. The activities of polygalacturonase and pectinesterase as softening enzyme in persimmon pickles with soy sauce and soy paste increased during storage time (0-50 days) and enzyme activity was inhibited by high concentration of soaking solution.

        3개 대학병원의 주 진단 코딩사례 평가

        Background : Coding of principal diagnosis is essential component for producing reliable health statistics. We performed this study to evaluate the current practice of principal diagnoses determination and coding, and to give some basic data to improve coding of principal diagnosis. Method : Nineteen medical record administrators(MRAs) of 3 university hospitals participated in coding principal Dx. From August 1, 2001 to August 31, 2001. From each hospital, 10 medical records of patients with high frequency disease were selected randomly. Each 10 medical records were grouped into three(A,B,C). Then, these 30 medical records were given to each MRAs for coding. At the same time questionnaire was given to each of them. Questions were to prove how they decide and code the principal diagnosis among many current diagnoses ; how they decide and code the principal diagnosis when day see irrelevant diagnosis recorded as the principal diagnosis in medical record, when only tentative diagnoses were recorded without final diagnosis, and when different diagnoses were recorded in different sheets of same record. Agreement of coding among 3 hospitals were compared and survey results were analysed with SAS 6.12. Results : Agreement of coding was found in medical records 5-6 of each 10 medical records. Causes of disagreement were as follows. Difference of clinician’s opinion from each hospital; mixed use of guideline from KCD-3 and guideline from DRG; difference in 4th digit classification according to the absence of pathology report in the medical record; difference of abbreviations among hospitals. 57.9% of decided principal diagnosis after consulting to KCD-3 guideline. When there were difficulties in determining the principal diagnosis, 42.1% of MRAs decided principal diagnosis after discussion with the physician, 26.3% after discussion with fellow MRAs. Conclusion : There were differences in coding among hospitals. To minimize the difference, we suggest the development of disease-specific guidelines for coding in addition to the current general guideline such as KCD-3. To do this, Coding Clinic which can produce guidelines is needed.

        Study on Effective Management Plan by Characteristics of Landslide Occurrence Area in Korea National Parks

        본 연구는 최근까지 국립공원 지역에서 발생한 474개소에 대하여 자료를 수집하고 산사태 발생인자 별 물리적 특성분석을 수행하여 그 결과를 바탕으로 산사태 발생지의 복원 및 모니터링 기준을 제시 하였다. 국립공원 지역의 산사태는 고도, 경사, 발생위치, 사면방위, 임상, 모암, 사면형, 사면단면형, 발생폭, 발생길이, 발생면적의 조건에서 산사태 발생빈도가 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 분석 결과를 기반으로 인공복원 1개소, 일부 인공복원(지반안정) 20개소, 일부 인공복원(식생도입) 1개소, 자연복 원 352개소, 복원완료 100개소로 분류하였으며, 모니터링 대상지 분류를 통하여 단기모니터링 대상 지 56개소, 중기모니터링 대상지 109개소, 장기모니터링 대상지 209개소, 복원완료 100개소로 분류 하였다. 산사태 발생지에 대한 지속적인 자료수집과 분석을 통하여 복원방법, 모니터링 대상지의 선정과 관리 기술을 확립하고 축적하여 경관 및 생태적으로도 보전가치가 매우 높은 국립공원에서 아름다운 자연환경을 보전, 관리하고, 인명과 재산피해를 최소화하는 데 효과적일 것으로 판단된다. This study collected data on 474 sites that occurred in national parks until recently and analyzed the physical characteristics of each landslide occurrence factor, we suggested the criteria for restoration and monitoring of landslide occurrence areas. Landslides were analyzed to occur frequently in national parks under condition of altitude, slope, position, aspect, forest type, parent rock, cross slope, vertical slope, width, length and area. Based on the analysis results, it was classified into 1 place of artificial restoration, 20 places of partly artificial restoration 1 place of partly artificial restoration, 352 places of natural restoration and 100 places of restoration completed by the criteria of restoration plan. Also, according to the criteria of monitoring plan, it was classified into 56 sites for short-term monitoring, 109 sites for medium-term monitoring, 209 sites for long-term monitoring and 100 sites for restoration completed. If we establish and accumulate restoration methods, it will be effective in preserving and managing the beautiful natural environment of national parks which has a very high conservation value both in landscape and ecology, and in minimizing casualties and property damage.

        Use of 1,064-nm Q-switched Neodymium:Yttrium-aluminum-garnet Laser Therapy Assisted with Diamond Particle Suspension and Gold Microparticle Application for Acne Vulgaris and Enlarged Facial Pores

        Acne vulgaris is a common inflammatory skin disease of the pilose-baceous unit. It appears as lesions consisting of comedones, papules, pustules, and nodules of varying shapes and severity. In general, the first-line treatment for acne vulgaris includes topical and oral medication. Recently, various physical modalities have also been investigated. The use of laser therapy is steadily increasing because of its fewer side effects, short procedure time, and rapid results. In particular, laser therapy assisted with carbon suspension application is effective for acne vulgaris but may sometimes result in discomfort due to odor and dust formation during the procedure. Herein, we report that acne vulgaris and enlarged facial pores can be safely and effectively treated with laser therapy assisted with diamond particle suspension and gold microparticle application, which can address the discomfort caused by the carbon suspension application.

        A Case of the Development of Porocarcinoma in situ from a Preexisting Hidroacanthoma Simplex: Immunohistochemical Staining to Highlight Malignant Transformation

        Porocarcinoma is a malignancy of the eccrine sweat gland. It may arise de novo or develop from pre-existing poroma and hidroacanthoma simplex. A 56-year-old woman was presented with a pinkish plaque on her left posterior thigh. She was diagnosed with hidroacanthoma simplex 6 years ago, and the same lesion had changed in size and shape. Histopathology revealed intraepidermal proliferation of small-sized basaloid cells, continuing to the proliferation of large polygonal tumor cells. This malignant transformation was consistent with the change in p53 expression pattern. The patient underwent wide excision with clear resection margin, and no evidence of recurrence was noted. We highlight this case in that the transition from hidroacanthoma simplex to porocarcinoma in situ was confirmed in the same tissue, as demonstrated by immunohistochemical staining.
