      • From Industrial 4.0 to Manufacturing 4.0 : TVET in response to the 4th industrial revolution and current digitization in Taiwan

        Industrial trends and the present knowledge-based economy are having a large impact on Taiwan. These trends have become a driving force for enhancing Taiwan’s competitiveness and economic growth. Locally, Taiwan’s universities and colleges have undergone transformation with regards to their mission, goals, business orientation and the ‘education industry’. Upgrading industry’s technology continues to drive Taiwan’s economic growth, adding additional responsibility for universities and colleges to ensure that industry talent is fostered, new and diverse financial business models and strategies are created and implemented, including the recruitment of teachers with international perspectives are pursued, for the purposes of nurturing and developing talent suitable for a knowledge-economy-based society. Universities and colleges have responded by promoting off-campus college internship programs and rigorous teacher practice and training experiences. With the establishment of industry-oriented - interdisciplinary programs positive results have been gained with regards to: supporting and fostering relationships with professionals in order to strengthen students’ basic learning and skill competencies as they pertain to industry, cultivate students’ desire to embrace continuing education and to promote professional development for teachers. Innovation is a key to building campus environments that will be beneficial for the success of industry-university cooperation. Government support with relevant laws and regulations that are updated to meet 21st century expectations will provide the necessary mechanisms for school intellectual property and other desired outcomes. TVET 4.0 transforming in Taiwan include customized TVE education for enterprise, intelligent TVE operating, effective TVE talent cultivation, and Integrated TVE professional curriculum. In order to response to impact from industrial 4.0, MOE in Taiwan is promoting to deepen and transform higher education. Besides, speeding TVET reconstruction is undergoing as well.

        중국시장의 창업환경요인이 창업의도에 미치는 영향 -창업가 정신의 조절효과-

        This study requires prospective creators to identify what factors of the start-up environment need to be improved first in order to actively promote the start-up activities. The survey distributed the questionnaire in Changchun. The survey period was 300 copies in 3 months. excluding 252 questionnaires that were not sincere. The results of the empirical analysis are as follows. First, the analysis of the relationship between financial support, government policies, social culture, education training and market environment of start-up environment showed that financial support, social culture, and market environment all affect trust (+) as in previous studies. Second, innovation in founding environment factors and entrepreneurship was shown to control the relationship between financial support, government policy, social culture, education and initiative, and the relationship between market environment and entrepreneurship was not controlled. Among them, innovation in entrepreneurship has been shown to enhance the relationship between government policies, social culture, education and entrepreneurship, but innovation in the relationship between financial support and entrepreneurship has reduced their relationship. 2000년대 초반 중국정부가 대학교 확장모집 정책을 실시한 후 중국 역시 사회적으로 취업난이 지속되면서 사회 대중들이 이를 매우 중요한 사회문제로 인식하고 있다. 이러한 시대적 흐름에 맞추어 본 연구는 중국 길림성 장춘시에 있는 예비창업자들을대상으로 창업의도에 영향을 미치는 창업환경에는 어떤 요인들이 있는지 알아보고자함이며, 창업가 전신이 창업환경과 창업의도와의 관계에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 함이다. 설정한 가설을 검증하기 위하여 오프라인 설문을 통해 수집된 총252부의 설문지를 실증분석에 사용하였으며, 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 창업환경요인의 금융지원, 사회문화, 교육훈련과 시장환경 모두 창업의도에 유의한 정(+) 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 정부정책은 창업의도에 영향을 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 창업환경요인과 창업의도 관계에서 창업정신 중 혁신성은 금융지원, 정부정책, 사회문화, 교육훈련과 창업의도의 관계를 조절하는 것으로 나타났고, 진취성의 금융지원, 교육훈련과 창업의도의 관계를 높이는 것으로 나타났고, 위험감수성은 정부정책, 금융지원, 시장환경과 창업업의도의 관계를 높이는 것으로 나타나 조절효과가 있는 것으로 타났다. 이에 따라 중국 정부와 공공기관에서 체계적으로 창업지원이 이루어질 수 있도록 예비 창업자들한테 이를 창업 정책에 반영할 거나 교육과정을 제공할 필요가 있다.

        Management of ulcerative colitis in Taiwan: consensus guideline of the Taiwan Society of Inflammatory Bowel Disease

        Ulcerative colitis (UC) is an inflammatory bowel disease characterized by chronic mucosal inflammation of the colon, and the prevalence and incidence of UC have been steadily increasing in Taiwan. A steering committee was established by the Taiwan Society of Inflammatory Bowel Disease to formulate statements on the diagnosis and management of UC taking into account currently available evidence and the expert opinion of the committee. Accurate diagnosis of UC requires thorough clinical, endoscopic, and histological assessment and careful exclusion of differential diagnoses, particularly infectious colitis. The goals of UC therapy are to induce and maintain remission, reduce the risk of complications, and improve quality of life. As outlined in the recommended treatment algorithm, choice of treatment is dictated by severity, extent, and course of disease. Patients should be evaluated for hepatitis B virus and tuberculosis infection prior to immunosuppressive treatment, especially with steroids and biologic agents, and should be regularly monitored for reactivation of latent infection. These consensus statements are also based on current local evidence with consideration of factors, and could be serve as concise and practical guidelines for supporting clinicians in the management of UC in Taiwan.         Crohn`s disease (CD) is a chronic relapsing and remitting inflammatory disease of the gastrointestinal tract. CD is rare in Taiwan and other Asian countries, but its prevalence and incidence have been steadily increasing. A steering committee was established by the Taiwan Society of Inflammatory Bowel Disease to formulate statements on the diagnosis and management of CD taking into account currently available evidence and the expert opinion of the committee. Thorough clinical, endoscopic, and histological assessments are required for accurate diagnosis of CD. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging are complementary to endoscopic evaluation for disease staging and detecting complications. The goals of CD management are to induce and maintain remission, reduce the risk of complications, and improve quality of life. Corticosteroids are the mainstay for inducing re-mission. Immunomodulating and biologic therapies should be used to maintain remission. Patients should be evaluated for hepatitis B virus and tuberculosis infection prior to treatment and receive regular surveillance for cancer. These consensus statements are based on current local evidence with consideration of factors, and could be serve as concise and practical guidelines for supporting clinicians in the management of patients with CD in Taiwan.         Molecular dynamics study of the shear strength and fracture behavior of nanoporous graphene membranes

        We perform molecular dynamics (MD) simulations to study the structural response and fracture characteristics of nanoporous graphene (NPG) membranes subjected to shear loading. The effects of porosity, temperature, and shear velocity on the mechanical responses of NPG membranes are examined. The results show that the wrinkling of the membrane becomes more obvious with increasing strain. Fractures occur around holes on the long diagonal of the NPG parallelogram, and fracture stress in the NPG membrane decreases with increasing porosity. In addition, the effect of shear velocity on the shear modulus decreases with increasing porosity. The fracture strain of NPG membranes with different porosities obviously decreases with increasing temperature. The results enhance our understanding of the shear mechanical properties of NPG membranes and are helpful for the design and application of highperformance NPG membranes.

        An Intelligent Agriculture Network Security System Based on Private Blockchains

        Countries around the world are nowadays actively promotingdevelopment in intelligent agriculture. Each of them mustdevelop a specific plan tailored to environmental farming indices ofeach individual farm, and such information would be both importantand sensitive. This is why information in intelligent agriculturerequires protection from network security to ensure data privacyand integrity. This study proposes applying dark web technologyto ensure the privacy of blockchains and servers. The study willmonitor packet transmission frequency in intelligent agriculture toprevent distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attacks. The mainfeatures of system include: (1) An identity authentication mechanism,(2) secure transmission of information, (3) establishment ofprivate blockchains, (4) a faster, improved authentication systemfor blockchain information, and (5) resistance against DDOS attacks. The proposed scheme can safeguard network security for theIoT as well as the servers by way of applying dark web technology,which can avoid exposure of blockchains and server ID addressesand thus in turn lower the risks of DDOS attack damages. Experimentresults indicate that the application of lightweight encryptionof proposed scheme does indeed improve the authentication speedwhile also satisfying requirements of network security.

      • On a Synchronous-Reluctance Motor Speed Drive with Intuitive Commutation Tuning

        This paper presents a synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM) drive with proper commutation instant tuning. Owing to the inaccurate and varied machine parameters, the optimal torque generating capability of a SynRM drive is difficult to achieve successfully. In the proposed intuitive commutation scheme, the commutation angle is first properly set by a minimum loss commutation (MLC) scheme and a field-weakening commutation (FWC) scheme. Then an intuitive commutation tuning (ICT) scheme is developed to adjust the commutation angle automatically for compensating the effects caused by the variations of system parameters and operating conditions. In addition, the current and speed controls are properly designed to yield good whole driving responses, including starting, acceleration/deceleration, reversible, dynamic and static running characteristics.

        The Reflection of Bamboo combines traditional materials with interactive technology, analyzing what the characteristics of the old and new materials are, as well as how to apply technology to the integration of these materials. Through this installation, we reconsider the possibility of integrating traditional materials with modern technology. Adopting bamboo as the main material, this installation raises the spirit of traditional techniques in a unique way and employs bamboo’s special tenacity. Viewers can interact with this installation and experience the strength, esthetics and variation in the demonstrated shadow.

        Transcriptome sequencing combined with bioinformatics predicts potential genes and pathways associated with bupivacaine-induced apoptosis

        This study aimed to explore the potential genes and pathways associated with bupivacaine-induced apoptosis. Human neuroblastoma cell line SH-SY5Y was used in this study. The effect of bupivacaine on cell viability of SH-SY5Y was detected by Cell Counting Kit-8. Transcriptome sequencing was performed for SH-SY5Y cells that were treated and untreated with bupivacaine based on the HiSeq 4000 sequencing platform. The sequencing results were analyzed using bioinformatics methods, including differentially expressed genes (DEGs) identification, functional enrichment analysis, protein–protein interaction (PPI) network analysis and module analysis. The cell viability of SH-SY5Y cells decreased significantly after bupivacaine treatment (p < .01). Based on the HiSeq 4000 sequencing platform, we obtained a global overview of the transcriptome of SH-SY5Y treated with/ without bupivacaine. Bioinformatics analysis identified 335 up-regulated and 294 down-regulated DEGs in bupivacaine group. They were significantly enriched in cell cycle-associated functions and pathways and cAMP signaling pathway. In the PPI network, proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), v-Akt murine thymoma viral oncogene homolog 3 (AKT3), cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 1A (CDKN1A) and cell division cycle 6 (CDC6) had high topology scores. Module analysis obtained two sub-network modules (cluster 1 and cluster 2). PCNA, CDC6, CDKN1A and AKT3 may play important roles in bupivacaine-induced apoptosis. Additionally, bupivacaine may also induce apoptosis via pathways of cell cycle and cAMP signaling pathway.
