        Sulfonylurea Herbicide Resistance Mechanism of Some Acetohydroxy Acid Synthase Mutants and New Designed Herbicides Specific to the Mutants

        The mutation rate of proline in the position 197 (Pro197) in acetohydroxy acid synthase (AHAS) is highest among sulfonylurea (SU) herbicide-resistance mutants. Therefore, it is significant to investigate the resistance mechanism for the mutation and to develop the herbicides specific to the mutants. SU herbicide resistance mechanism of the mutants, 197Ser, 197Thr and 197Ala, in AHAS were targeted for designing new SU-herbicide. We did molecular dynamics (MD) simulation for understanding SU herbicide-resistance mechanisms of AHAS mutants and designed new herbicides with docking and MD evaluations. We have found that mutation to 197Ala and 197Ser enlarged the entrance of the active site, while 197Thr contracted. Map of the root mean square derivation (RMSD) and radius gyrations (Rg) revealed the domain indicating the conformations for herbicide resistant. Based on the enlarging-contracting mechanism of active site entrance, we designed new herbicides with substitution at the heterocyclic moiety of a SU herbicide for the complementary binding to the changed active site entrances of mutants, and designed new herbicides. We confirmed that our screened new herbicides bonded to both AHAS wild type and mutants with higher affinity, showing more stable binding conformation than the existing herbicides.

      • 중학생의 개인적 특성에 따른 자아정체감에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 중학생의 개인적특성에 따른 자아정체감을 살펴봄으로써 성장기의 자아정체감을 확립하는데 도움이 되는 기초자료를 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 연구대상은 2002년 현재 서울지역 중학교에 재학중인 학생으로 하였고, 층화표본추출법(Cluster random sampling)을 사용하여 서울을 강남과 강북으로 분류한 후 서울시 교육청에 등록된 학교에 난수표를 부여한 후, 각각 1개교씩 2개교를 선정하였다 선정된 학교에서 교사의 양해를 얻어 250명씩 총 500명을 표집하였다. 연구대상 500명 중 불성실하게 응답하거나 신뢰성이 떨어지는 53부를 제외한 447부가 본 연구의 분석자료로 사용되었다. 본 연구에서 사용한 측정도구는 설문지로 박아청(1996)이 제작한 한국형 자아정체성 검사 중 '정체감 유예'와 '정체감 혼미'를 제외한 '주체성', '자기수용성', '미래확신성', '목표지향성', '주도성', '친밀성'의 6개 영역을 각 8문항씩 총48문항으로 재구성한 류청렬(1999)의 검사지를 수정·보안하여 본 연구에 적합한 설문지를 완성하였다. 본 연구에서 자료분석을 위하여 사용된 분석방법은 SPSS 10.0 version 프로그램을 이용하여 신뢰도 분석(Reliab Analysis), T-검증(T-Test), 교차 분석(Crosstabs Analysis), 일원변량분석(one-way ANOVA) 및 요인 분석(factor Analysis)등의 통계기법을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 자료분석 결과와 논의를 통해 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 개인적 특성의 변인으로 성별, 학년, 학업성적, 경제수준에 따라 자아정체감에서 성별은 '친밀성' 요인에 있어서는 여학생들이 남학생들보다 높게 나타났다. 학년은 '주도성', '목표지향성'. '자기수용성', '천밀성' 순으로 높게 나타났다. 학업성적은 학업성적이 높으면 전체 자아정체감이 높았으며, '친밀감', '자기수용성', '미래확신성', '주체성' 순서로 높게 나타났다. 경제수준은 '주체성'이 높게 나타났다. This study was intended to present the basic materials helpful for middle school students in their middle school days and establishing their self-identify in a period of growth. For this purpose, this study attempted to identify what effect middle school students' participation had on the formation of self-identity through the investigation of the relationship between their participation in self-identity. The questionnaire research was conducted for middle school students attending middle schools in Seoul as of 2002. For this purpose, 500 students were sampled using the duster random sampling method. 447 questionnaires returned from them were used as data for analysis of this study. Such statistical analysis techniques as reliability analysis, t-test, crosstabs analysis, one-way ANOVA and factor analysis were used to analyze data using the SFSS 10.0 version program. Based on the findings of this study, the following conclusion was drawn: First, an attempt was made to investigate self-identity according to such individual characteristic variables as sex, school year, school records and economic level. Middle school girls showed the higher level of intimacy than the schoolboys in terms of sex. Self-identity was shown to be higher in the ascending order of 'initiative', 'goal orientedness 'self-acceptance and 'intimacy' in terms of school year. Middle school students with better school records, showed the high overall self-identity, which was shown to be higher in the ascending order of 'intimacy', 'self-acceptance', 'future assurance', 'subjectivity'. They showed the high level of 'subjectivity' in terms of economic level.

      • 기계시각을 이용한 강구 자동 검사장치

        Metal balls are commonly used in mechanical elements and systems including bearings. If there is a defect in a metal ball, it can cause a serious machine failure. By this reason every balls produced are required to be inspected, and the inspection is usually done by human eyes. However, the inspection by human eyes is always with the risk of mistakes, and a need to automate the inspection process is arisen. This paper describes a design of an automatic inspection system for detecting defects on ball surface. A machine vision system is used, and design process and techniques are described in detail. 강구는 베어링을 비롯한 기계 요소 및 장치에서 널리 사용되는 부품이다. 만약 강구에 결함이 있을 시, 이를 사용하는 기계에서 치명적인 결함이 초래될 수 있다. 따라서 제조된 강구에 대해서는 전량검사가 요구되고 있고, 검사과정은 사람의 육안에 의한 검사가 주를 이루고 있다. 그런데 사람에 의한 검사에는 항상 실수의 가능성이 있으므로, 이를 자동화하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 강구의 표면 결함을 자동적으로 검사할 수 있는 장치를 설계한다. 기계시각 장치가 사용되었고, 설계에 따른 구체적 절차와 기술들이 서술된다.

        A synchronous generator is equipped with an automatic voltage regulator(AVR), which is responsible for keeping the output voltage constant under normal operating conditions at various levels. The output voltage of Synchronous Generator is regulated constantly by field voltage control in excitation system. High frequency PWM converter (Buck converter) type excitation system for synchronous generator that can sustain proper output voltage level even at the fault condition happened. The proper operation of the proposed excitation system was verified through the simulations and the experiments.

        There are two kinds of data transmission communication method, namely, Analog communication method and Digital communication method. The latter has many excellent characteristics as compared with the former. In order to design excellent Digital Filter, the window function is studied in this paper. The conventional time-domain windowing requires N/2 stored values of the data window and N multiplications. A class of windows, called binary windows, for the frequency-domain implementation of the Discrete Fourier Transform is proposed. They do not require multiplications or stored constants ; rather, they are replaced by shift and add operations. These windows offer excellent sidelobe behavior compared with the conventional windows.

      • AZ91 Mg합금의 시효조직 및 경화거동

        Microstructure and hardening behaviors were investigated for AZ91 magnesuim alloy solidified in a metal mold. Solid solution treatments were carried out at 683K for various times and final aged from room temperature to 453K. Rockwell hardness, Energy dispersive spectroscopy, optical microscopy and Scanning electron microscopy techniques were used with purpose of indentifying age hardening behaviors with or without heat treatment. While increasing artificial aging temperature shortens the time for initial aging and reaching the peak hardness, too high temperature reduces the amount of age hardening, it is necessary to choose proper temperature suitable to aging time and the amount of aging hardening. It was found that the strengthening phase of age hardening for AZ91 magnesuim alloy precipitated Mg-Al compound and that the hardness suddenly increased at start of intragranular precipitation after intergranular precipitation nearly became saturated.
